It’s not worth $600, African leather is one of my favorite perfumes of all time but even for that I wouldn’t pay $600, this is way other company’s out there starts making dupes of these houses because they’re prices are insane.

MEMO are really prone to misnomers, their African Leather from the Cuir Nomades collection - as gorgeous as I think it is - is hardly a leather fragrance.
As many other have said, this house's African Leather is fantastic. That said, I've been really curious about this one but had no idea it was that expensive. African Leather is almost half the price and as much as I love it, I think it's just barely worth paying full retail. I still really want to try this, but I just can't justify paying that much for any fragrance.
hardly any fragrance above 200-250$ is not worth paying retail... Aaron usually has competitive prices for what you get and from most of his creations depending on your skin chemistry you can expect nice long longevity and projection, but im hesitant to pay more than 200-250$ for any fragrance, shit amouage reflection 45 is what 450-500$ full retail? i seen bunch of sellers offering it for 280-320$ and im not paying that much even for that quality.. in Aarons defense if you do not want to buy ~400$ Boss Bitch, you can always buy 10 ml for roughly 100-110$ and then use it for very special ocassions and it will last a good long while..

There have been a few exceptions here and there, but not many, There are only 2 in my collection that crossed the $300 line, but they are very special to me for various reasons and I don't think I would ever pay that amount again. I just bought a 5ml sample of African rose from scentsplit. It’s nothing like African leather imo, it’s high quality for sure but the scent profile is too familiar for the price. The 5ml is expensive but I will get my use from it. Because it is good but not 500 good😂African leather along with other memo Paris fragrances can be found on discounters for about 180. I never pay retail for a fragrance because they depreciate so much after initial release.

The name African Rose definitely invokes the image of earthy wood, animalistic notes and glancing sweet florals with me too. I would not expect any powdery essence unless it was dusty soil! Spot on as usual Aaron! 👍
This house blew me away this spring when I first discovered it. Argentina, Madurai, Ocean Leather and Marfa are so far my favorites but I will be checking out African Rose soon.

Love Aaron's educational videos❤ Could anyone tell me what note in Atomic Rose I percive as very harsh and screechy "bug spray" I feel the same way about Valaya and Burberry her edt, exactlly the same screechy bug smell. (Probably some musc note like cashmeran maybe but I would really like to know witch one) I can detect it in other fragraces but much milder. Has anyone else had the bugspray experience? Love//Agatha❤
I'm not wowed by the bottle on this one it looks a bit cheap and for that price point I would expect something quirky like bond no .9 I have loved a lot of fragrances but didn't buy them based on packaging . I think this looks boring and lazy just my opinion. Have a great Christmas aaron !!

I really think that this frag has too much hype, like Italian leather, and they both don't worth their price. Trust me, there are better leather compositions, of course, on the niche market. But, also, I'm sure that exploring Memo fragrances, you could find that there are at least another two compositions on the 'Cuirs Nomades' of Memo Paris, that really stand out and have a nice and brilliant work with the leather, as expected from a leather fragrance.😊
I disagree from personal experience. My best friend cares only about African Leather, since I gifted him one bottle and he wears it daily. I've seen various frag youtubers listing African Leather as the top leather perfume from Memo and one of the best leather perfumes overall on the market. But if you have any other leather frags you consider better drop them here in the comments please, I'm always eager to explore new ones.
Aaron would like you to test Memo Irish Oud, in my opinion one of the best fragrances from Memo. A three-dimensional note that I have not smelled in any perfume. Longevity and aura excellent on my skin. A big greeting for everything you do 😊💪🫶

My benchmark for rose perfumes is ELDO Eau de Protection. For £400 it’d better be markedly better in all sense than Eau de Protection.
