    By far you are one of the most underrated mini painting content creators.
    Finally getting back into the hobby after stepping away for 15 years and I feel so lucky to have found your channel.

    Thank you very much for the video, and explanation, because I think and started just as you say in the video and it has been a journey of incredible experiences. Success!

    Just started at the beginning of this year and I've found Blu-tack and some leftover pill bottles do nicely for model holders. I especially like the bottles with the child proof cap style where you have to push down and twist because if you don't push down, you can spin the cap around to get different angles on your model (like my Redgrass RGG360 Painting Handle v2). I have several so I can mount multiple models if I'm doing some batch painting (my beginning set of models is Assassin's Creed Brotherhood of Venice board game).

    Wow....great intro video. can't believe the number of identical items we have - even same compressor and airbrush. Really looking to working through your catalogue

    For holding minis, I love my Game Envy Hobby Holder. It works with bottle caps and has two sizes of stability bars, which works for my larger hands.

      That’s great, i have seen those holders about but I hadn’t actually know who the company was who made them!

      @@WrathofMinis A very cheap solution is to get a cardboard insert from a toilet paper roll and stick it in a big water bottle cap. I have these 5l bottles with 50mm caps that work perfectly with them. You can drill a small hole in the plastic to glue a magnet into if you so wish.

    Awesome summary of a starter kit.
    I find something cool and edgy like a Halloween party skull mug for holding my water is also essential 😜

    My brother threw out an old wardrobe that had a plastic rod for hanging clothes. I salvaged the rod and cut it into 2.75 inch lengths. I now had a ton of very usable painting handles. I've also used old pill bottles and superglue containers (the tube that the tiny superglue bottles come in). It's very possible to get painting handles for free if you are creative.

      Well done and a good use to miscellaneous things to make your painting handles!

    As a someone who is really starting into the painting (after 18-19 years) I do have one question that I find mixed answers on. Army painter brushes are recommended to clean with water only, no soaps or cleaning solutions. What about products like those brushes that have "opposite" recommendation of general opinion that everybody else seems to be applying (soak it and soap it vs clean it with water)?

    • @Damadan2x
      @Damadan2x 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't have their brushes but when they get gunked up water will not remove the paint, Masters soap is what gets them clean. I can't imagine that Army painter brushes are that different that what everyone else uses. I use Windsor and Newton(sable) and Princeton(synthetic)

      Ah, yes -- The one in the video is just an inexpensive one I found on Amazon, but has been working fine for me. Will update the video description but here's the link: amzn.to/3DkZEy5

    Be careful with spray-on primer. Not all miniatures like it, and some (especially the ones made out of rubbery plastic) might become sticky and unworkable from the propellant. I've destroyed a Ripper miniatures model this way.

    What kind of bendable files did you use?

    • @WrathofMinis
      @WrathofMinis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Too Mini Models (great name, haha)-- The ones that I have are pretty old and worn, can't see the brand anymore. I'd buy these if I was going to get some new ones: amzn.to/3QbeImB -- this is an affiliate link, fyi, so I'd get a commission if you buy through here, though if you find anything similar, that should work just as well. I like the shape of these ones for minis specifically, helps to reach some difficult spots. You also only need the low grit ones -- the high grit is way to high from my experience. Hope that helps.

    Same hair brushes are NOT cruelty free just n FYI. If that matters to you
