I'm was overthinking the seal and you seem like the type of nice guy who would dig through his garage just to help a fella. I'm good and got something close enough. Thanks.
Very good video showing the installation and adjustments on the door for the Canam Defender. I have the Defender XT-10 with the same doors, and you have given me some great information on the adjustments of the doors. Thanks so much for sharing the great information!
wayne owen I’ve installed 5 sets of doors on Can Am and Polaris, eventually you have to grab and bend them. These doors were the easiest a little force goes along way. I’m thrilled you found this helpful.
Simon by the way i may start a very small farm on 40 acres of bottom land i have. Maybe start with an acre or two. I may have to ask you questions hope you don't mind.
Have you had any issues with the door latch system. I have these doors and after the first year the latching mechanism won't stay latched. Very frustrating!
Great video sir. I would love you to do a full review on this machine. I'm stuck between the xmr and the xt-p. Leaning more towards the latter simply because of the factory cab option. Do you have the factory stereo? If so, how good is the sound quality?
Justin D I do not have a Sterio, I like to listen to the sound of the engine while I ride. If you’re doing faster trail riding then the xtp is probably the better choice as it has adjustable shocks. If your trails have a lot of mud you like to play in then the xmr. I prefer slower trail riding, a machine I can utilize at my house...I may try the mud. The xmr had options most owners add, arched A arms for great ground clearance , aggressive tires, nicer seats and snorkels. I liked it because there’s not too many sxs that make me look small. There’s no bad choice in this segment. Good luck 👍
A Can Am how to video while wearing a Polaris jacket. Ha ha. Good video. I just got my doors for HD8 and they had no directions with them. Excellent idea on the weather stripping. Where did you purchase your weatherstripping from?
Well i'm looking at a picture on my home channel and it looks like they bend in towards the center of the machine. Your question is excellent, if i remember correctly we had to test fit the hinges. Thank you for asking!
Bill Brooks yes I designed and installed the system. I didn’t edit out camera moves so those who’re interested could see the shop. I’m embarrassed as the shop is not finished. Thank you for noticing.
@@maraudermitchelli Don't be embarrassed! Looks very well thought out. If you ever wanted to talk about what you did for your layout and design, I know I'd love to hear about it. It's always something I struggle with in my shop and hopefullly can do something better in the near future. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job on building the doors and the installation sir! Although what's all this "maybe in the mud" stuff! Come on now, we all want to see it submerged up to the snorkels! Just kidding, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your build and trail riding video's.
Did not come with instructions. would have been helpful to share photos of instructions. you guys move very fast through the video without showing exact orientation of parts and steps seem to be skipped. should be an easy job with instructions..

Just bought these doors and this will help me immensely! Thank you. Do you recall the product # on the Ameriseal?
Chris I'm sorry I'm reading this late. I recommend going to NAPA they had a rack with many different seals. I hope this helps.
@@maraudermitchelli No apologies needed. Your video greatly helped me install my doors on my 4 door HD10. Thank you!
Where did you get the weather stripping?
Nappa has a large selection, Have a Happy Thanks Giving

No issues, i've had this machine 2 years. Sorry to hear you've had problems.
Did the kit come complete with hinges and hardware? Also Can am website says the door kit does not fit on XMR, do you have a part number? thanks.
Machine was traded, no issues with fit. It did come with hinges.

Thank you, I will check my Napa store tomorrow.
Which way do the door brackets on the bottom go? In to the frame or out away from the frame?
