Hello, in this tutorial we are going to create a sky with a functional day and night system. We are going to add a skysphere with a starry sky and moon for the nights and edit the volumetric clouds material to get a stylized look.
This is my first tutorial ever, so please leave your feedback in the comments so I can learn how to improve this videos and let me know what you want to learn next.

Hey, welcome! My name is s4bishii and I'm an indie game developer working on my first game Resttore, an open world adventure game with survival mechanics inspired by games like Valheim and The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild. I also decided to start making tutorials to share my knowledge and have a place to come back to check how I made some of this systems. This is a video tutorial on how to make skies with day and night cycles for your Unreal Engine projects. - เกม
i saw this on the other channel hopefully it gets more recognition here!
Me too, I'm testing to see if it's better to post the tutorials here
oh this is genuinely so great thank you i literally cannot find all this info in one place anywhere else and ive been googling for ages 💀

@@ltskurge6928 I'm glad it was helpful 😁
Best one Ngl, Any on weather?
I'm not really happy with current weather implementation, so maybe in the future
Lmao was just about to go make this for my game
I hope you find it useful 😁
It started off as a tutorial, then at approximately 9:15 it went into something else.. discussing the improvements that were made for the "Patreon" version which is behind a paywall.. etc.. very annoying. I may have missed something as the starry sky is very blurry on my end.. and doesn't look like nice stars at night.
Hey there, what resolution are you using for your star texture for the sky, maybe it's too small and that's why it looks blurry.
@@s4bishii I'm using the Unreal Engine SM_SkySphere and the included Stars files.
@@dontworrybehappy4916 That texture is 512x512 which is a bit small for something as big as the sky. Try adding a texture coordinate node to the UVs pin of the sky texture and set its Utiling and Vtiling to something like 4.
I recommend you to join our discord where we have a "questions" channel so it's easier to help you.
Let me know how it goes!
so hard to follow for beginner
