POGS!! I've been a long time subscriber to the main channel to the point where I remember one of the earliest videos is Rick showing some kids what POGS were and how you play and collect them. The convention sounds like a blast! Enjoy your day.
You should consider getting a claw machine filled with plushies, games, and even a console as prizes. You'd be surprised at how much money it could bring in.
That's a sweet idea! I suck at claw machines but I love playing them (I never win anything sadly). Giving away consoles as a prize would definitely boost claw machine sales!
I LOVE Star Wars Episode 1. Jar Jar aside, it just had too much other stuff that was so awesome. The whole act when they were on Tattooine, the pod racing, Qui Gon Jin, Maul, and the lightsaber fights! People like to conveniently forget that Episode 1 was were the movies finally kicked up lightsaber fights a few notches and we get proper swordsmen duels out of them now. Congrats on scoring the Episode 1 poster. It's really awesome and will make a FINE addition to the shop's layout. I've got to find myself an excuse and method of heading out your way someday and checking out your game shop. It truly is becoming a master piece.
The amazing, passionate people who love retro are the reason the gaming community will survive. Modern gaming? Creative and talented devs replaced by cynical accountants and execs. Real gamers replaced by quick-insta-fame-fake-gurus. By people who, back in the day, considered anyone of us who was computer savvy or a gamer, or had a Myspace profile to be 'a loser'. Now they use our tech to make sick money, share their vanity and destroy self-esteem of others. I recently made a deep dive video about X360 as the last great generation, I don't want to be right... Great video as always.
I resonate with your statement after how bad the last Playstation first party game Concord was. What happened to new ideas and zany fun titles. Everything now is just like a quick cashout.

I remember a news story from some years ago about one of the local game stores in my town. A rival game store owner was guilty of defrauding them by stealing games and pawning them at his store. The "you reap what you sow" came back on him when he got arrested for sexual assault of a minor.
As a kid that grew up with the original Star Wars films I never liked the prequels but the latest films have taken the slot of most hated editions of the Star Wars franchise, I would recommend the clone wars and rebels and bad batch cartoons though, they are really good.
My Grandfather used to take me out on the ocean fishing either on his boat or the pier. No matter how we fished, we would always make sure to have our 3D Doritos with us.

Dunkaroos were pretty good but I think my favorite 90s snack was "PB crisps" it was some peanut butter wafer things that were amazing Planters made them I have no idea why they stopped making them everyone I know that tried them loved them
I have that Star Wars E1 banner and the E3 banner in the Retro Arcade inside of my retro shop, Budget PC and Retro Games in Eldon MO. Interesting side note: that banner features a shot never used in the movie. In the movie his "Vader" shadow is shown on the side of the hut.

favorite 90s snack Butterfinger bbs and a good ol mtndew was a mellow yellow guy after days of thunder till they changed the formula . loved anything tmnt food miss the chef Boyardee ( crazy history on that stuff)

Episode for me was the best of those 3. I love the pod race and idc what ppl say I love Jar Jar Binks,he's awesome, fight me! Lol I love the entire Starwars realm. But if course of course the 1st are the best ,1, A New Hope,2 Return of the Jedi, And 3 the Empire Strikes Back. I even love the Disney off shoot shows

Shadow,slash,trident,blade ,midnight,xavier, are some of the eternal champions i can think of,,cool game on the megadrive great backgrounds and characters but very difficult .
I met Mr. Wright Way there a couple years ago at a convention. He made me laugh. He said he had an accident and his fingers now look like Vienna sausages. He helped me pick out some bangers on the ps2.

If ur doing a bracket style tournament, the BEST game for that is BLADES OF STEEL.
ALL teams are EQUAL and it all comes down to SKILL.
Make sure you get one of those portable steamers for the cloth retro rick background. You'll def use it everytime you set up.
Also, you guys should record the panels and all the other stuff going on at your con and release it as a DVD to sell at your store and on the website
