Pretty amazing that used parts often cost more than new parts. It really pays to know your prices before you go shopping. Otherwise, you could pay too much for something that's used when new was cheaper.
In this case, I can understand. Only because there was a 4 week wait. You want it now? You gotta pay more for an lesser product. I’m not saying a headliner isn’t as good used but by the time it gets to me, it will have more dirt on it than a new one. I ordered it before I started working on the car, so the wait wasn’t a problem.
I found this to be the case for some things while I was manual swapping my car. Getting a gearbox bracket was cheaper brand new from a dealer (having to ship it from the Volvo HQ in Sweden as well) Vs getting a used one on eBay that would have taken longer to get. Also a brand new clutch line was not that expensive from them compared to trying to get a used one. Now some uses bits are cheaper like the pedals and shifter which I just rebuilt.
I used to reply to every one but too many doofuses ruined it for everyone during the Mustang build. Now I reply for a couple hours after the videos come out. I understand why channels don’t respond, it takes up so much time. It isn’t because they don’t care.
that music nearly set my tinnitus off and as i realised i was getting it you stopped it so thanks, nice to see someone strip a lock down rather than buy new,not many bother doing this
Put the new mic in the pile and go back to the old one. There was never anything wrong with your sound in the first place. All of your videos are well done.
Thanks to you ! My ‘08 Gm Sierra that I bought new, and wanted to keep as a work truck, was getting tired. I priced seat covers, used seats, after factory covers, and all those people seemed to think their seats were worth a big bag of cash. I called around, and found GM dealer replacement covers for less than 1/2, a lot less than 1/2 the price of the least expensive of all the options . So my old truck (with very low miles) gets a sprucing up. Thanks, great channel.
@@freiherrdinkelacker5730 I colour matched LINEX the box, and regret not doing more of the underbody parts when the truck was factory fresh. I’m in the North east, and The road salt kills them, dead. At 16:10 you mention something doesn’t look right…. You were correct, you have the front passenger grab handle in upside down…the curved portion should follow the curve in the headliner. Otherwise another great video with or without the audio! Then you caught your own oops!
Very nice work buddy. I love how you take the extra time and put things right back to the original spot. Like a lot of hacks out there that simply don't take the little extra time to make it right.
Tip You can recycle dead headliners as sound baffling to cut down on noise in the shop. Fold them in half over a piece of rope or wire then hang them from the ceiling around the noisiest areas. You can also hang them on bare walls for reducing echoes.
you know that metal cable stuff that holds its shape when you bend it like for desk lamps/old style oil can nozzles...what if you took a piece of that and and put the rubber hose through it you could then bend the filler foam tube to any shape you needed to put the insulation back into hard to reach places in doors, posts, rockers, others places...just a thought...0:46 if you could get a piece that would slide over the rubber tube you use...you could bend it into any shape you want just about...

Over here in Australia they've recently stopped us from using 2nd hand Air Bags & Seat Belts etc. Everything has to be bought new Genuine, with Receipts from the Dealer in order to get the Vehicles Re-Registered!
Don’t feel bad, audio is harder than most people think. If you want to capture the audio of you working, I would use a shotgun microphone, and if you want to record audio of you talking, you can use a lavalier microphone. I had good luck using Sennheiser products. The MKE 400 shotgun mike is really good, and their EW 112P is also a very good product.
Unfortunately with this style of video you basically have to wear a lavalier microphone for good voice audio, I recommend the little Tascam DR10-L ones. No fuss dealing with wireless issues, it is a microphone and audio recorder you just wear. Pretty cheap too, but of course one more thing to have to wear and remember to turn on. But I've always appreciated that you do voiceover to explain what you're doing and any "in the act" audio regardless of quality is bonus if you ask me.
Thanks for the video. The reason that clip on the B pillar didn't com out was because its a one time use clip. You are suppose to hit the trim with a mallet which will release the clip. The clip is suppose to be a one time use clip however you can reset the clip very easily.
