Brett you found your true calling when you picked up the camera, you're a natural born story teller and with your sense of humor your videos are in my humble opinion some of the best on TH-cam! Thanks for taking us along with ya.
My dad was part of the final treasure hunting expedition the Army allowed on Victorio Peak. I believe it was financed by Doc Noss' descendants. Dad was a driller and they had him poking holes looking for voids (caves) to send a camera down to see what was in them. They didn't find anything of interest. It's always been my belief the Army took the gold out during WW2 and never told anyone. They only allowed treasure hunting there because they knew nothing was there.
Great trail ride and treasure story. The music was enjoyable along the way... The views and treasure stories are excellent. You got you a nice pack of hounds to camp with.👍😉
A few years ago I went with my uncle and cousin Oryx hunting on that missile range. The only way we could go was to be escorted by a fella that worked at the base facility who was a friend of my uncle. We really put the miles on that truck before we found a suitable bull. But what amazed me was all the old homesteads and ranch houses still standing. Love your travels. Take care.
@Wilksfarm Is it maybe possible that you could help Brett out to get there too? Maybe you can go with him, on- or off camera, that's for you to decide, of course 😊 but that would be sooo awesome for Brett! Even if no camera is allowed, he can tell that story, I mean.. he is a master of that and a great thing to have, but it would for sure be a nice experience for him to see and do, as an outing on vacation time, maybe? Would sure love to hear him tell about it! Hope that you can help him out to get there?
I wouldn't have any problem living in the 1800s . Ive Been going and exploring alone sense 2007. Remote cattle ranches all over and rodeoing, lots of driving and riding, i wouldn't change a thing .
Wow 😮 that light is bright. Mules probably though a UFO was coming. Lots of scrub brush in this one. Love your stories. Natural storyteller and great scenery.
@@BrettVaughnB100 glad you still got it in you to get out there and do some exploring. I have owned a couple of mules and in my limited experience I know you love the good ones and really hate the bad ones. I had a barn sour mule that no amount of sweet feed or coaxing would allow her to be caught up especially if she knew a wet saddle blanket was involved.
Thanks Brett, looked like a good ride beautiful country, you got Ruth,Brenda & dogs out for the day in wilderness. Had a great steak I can smell it cooking, nice little table & grill.-Kid Yuma
Thanks for taking us along on your great adventures! If you know any more historic information on the native Indians in the places that you go it would be awesome!
Those mules sure have personality! Like having two extra wives. The big flashlight is impressive. Love the Celtic background music. Thanks for the ride through the semi-rural landscape. 😜
Based on where I think you were on that ridge, you might have been pointing to the correct peak. I have never been to the area where I think you were. One of the articles on my website has audio tape of Dr. Lambert Dolphin of SRI talking about the GPR scan while still on site at the peak. I think Toney Jolley only got 10 of those bars. The most amazing thing about this vid is the weather. Basically no wind considering it's spring in NM. Somewhere over in there is supposed to be the "Cave of 1,000 Steps". I have heard of it but don't have any real information on it. 7 miles in that terrain cross country is like 12+ on the flats.
I loved it my friend.. really enjoyed the shot between ol Brenda’s ears of that vast range of desert land .. beautiful.. well , Onward and Upward.. that is the Watchword .. 👍

Hi. The colours of your area are marvellous: This intense blue of the sky, the silvery grey of the dead trees and the colours of the rocks. And the far views from the top are breathtaking. Hope one day you stumble over the gold getting superrich! But go on making videos, please! And I am always impressed, how well the mules can walk in these diffcult areas. Greetings from Germany, Chris
We love your videos. We watched a video of a mule auction in salmon Idaho. They sold pretty pricey. Top mule sold for thrity two thousand dollars. Most of those mules were trained well, bomb proof. Lots of ground work. Give Brenda time, you two will get along well haha Rhonda
The old forgotten footage.. priceless! I often wonder what the young folks think of things like that. Is it priceless or just old stuff 😃 Nevertheless, the story can never be more priceless 😎
Brett, another great out there video. When I did short trips…..burritos in tinfoil, hard boiled eggs, summer sausage, cheddar cheese, biscuits or crackers, pinto beans, coffee and Water ! I had choices ! All fit in my saddle bags, or pick up, depending on where and what-for ! Your remote trips are the best. I always have my binoculars close…🤭😂. Thanks again Brett…🤠👍

I love watching your vids but this one is especially meaningful to my wife and I. She is the daughter of one of the four men from the Air Force base that discovered the cave opening. These four men "claimed to be out hunting" in November of 1958 when one of them discovered the entrance and went in. We have the specifics of what happened afterwards regarding what was discovered and the steps taken to hide the entrance. He gave us some very colorful stories of subsequent trips out to the area including being shot at by people trying to scare them off. My wife has his files and notes and they make for interesting reading! These notes provide much, much better context than the latest documentary on the Discovery Channel. My wife and I have our opinion about what happened.
Back in the 80s i bought my first metal detector and used it on the farm i grew up on. One of the first things I found was an 1892 indian head penny. I completely lost it with like a gold type of fever. Imagine what finding the amount of gold you are talking about would be like. Most people would lose their minds😅. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Great video and treasure story Brett ... ive spent many hours in those parts and always have the Doc Noss treasure on my mind when im out exploring out there !
Oh man Brett, I had a flash back of me as a kid always running down the horses. One end of the pasture or back and forth in paddock. My old man used to say that’s how the Indians finally got some of their horses by running them down. Never had a chance to hear if that had any truth to it. Eventually if you were more stubborn than them you could get a slow hand and a lead line around around their neck. I can’t imagine doing that with one mule let alone two and the new molly not knowing you yet doesn’t help much… darn
You know , I always caught my horse with a feed bag. Will that not work with mules ? But only needed that when he had been out on pasture for awhile . Really like the view from the ridge and the story was awesome . Thank you Sir !
