I shoot the X-H2s with the 18-120mm all the time for paid gigs and hobby. Very versatile and the image quality is amazing with this combo for stills and video. I have been shooting Fuji exclusively since 2013 longer than anyone I know and this is my favorite setup so far.
I appreciate that the 18-120 isn't too sharp or clinical. I know "cinematic" is used very loosely these days but the 18-120 gives you a fantastic look right out of camera that just looks familiar to me
Those car shots at 00:06 really are amazing. Almost as if those are edited RAW pictures instead of a movie, the dynamic range and colors are top-notch.
Finally, a positive review of the XF 18-120mm F4 PZ. I hate the flicker that fuji cameras make when zooming their lenses, which makes this lens seem pointless and disappointing. But as an all around shooter lens, in general, the look of the footage is great!
Ah .... thought you were going to dig into the 18-120. Anyway I enjoy your content. I've had the FX30, key word had, and use H2s all day every day. I wold say if you are a Hybrid Shooter in the strictest sense of that term, the H2s head and shoulders over the FX30.
The X-H2s needs to be seen as a HYBRID cam. And as such it looks hardly beatable for a system (inkl. e.g. this lens and other 2.8/4.0 ones) I own the GH6 and it is fantastic as a video tool with GREAT slomo, which is important for me. But after 1 year I see the photo part is just not good enough. Great, cheap lenses though - if you not make a living from foto/vid and need to pay for a hobby! If you go Sony APSC you loose codecs, video resolution, 3:2!!, and SloMo! Sony FF you loose LOMO. R6II you loose SloMo, at least 4k60 un croped! Pana S5II you loose 4k slomo, 4K60 with crop Otherwise you will invest HUGE money, like Z8, A7SIII (bad hybrid though) or the bigger Canon ones. But ad some lenese and we ware talking 10 grant on Canon. If anyone has a better idea for a Hybrid with slomo 4K + FHD .... let me know.
I think his goal was to demonstrate the 'rush' of getting ready for the shoot. The jarring handheld motion fits that feeling perfectly and better than perfectly steady footage.

Fujis and defenders? you had me at a perfect pair.
Great video man, you deserve more views and subs!
Another quick and cool video. Every time I watch something on this channel makes me impatient to go out and create something.
Thanks!
That’s awesome to hear, thanks for watching!

yeah, I'm a big fan of the XH2S.
Your production quality is unreal, can’t wait to get this lens and a xh2s after my Xh1 and xt2 died. Subbed!!!
How is this lens for low light with the XH2s?
Your colors look amazing in all those shots with the tracks! Are you using a recipe? I'd love to see a video about that.
No need for a whole video, it's the Portra 400 V2 recipe from Fuji X Weekly

Good to see people from BC aswell!
Would you share the recipe you had used on this set? Primarily the photos
The Portra 400V2 from Fuji X Weekly
@@TheGlassEyeTV thanks man killer stuff
Is the graininess generated in the image inherent in XH2S shooting or added later on?
I added grain.
awesome colors!
I followed a similar colour workflow as my Sony footage and the Fuji definitely looks better to my eye.
You say it depends on what you're comparing it to, but your footage will have most people thinking they should just jump out there and buy it.
Amazing video! Thanks for mentioning us! 🎉
Did you get to try it out with the 3.0 firmware update? Helped my H2S with AF, not Sony left but certainly better than before
I didn’t but I may get the camera back to give it a try!
@@TheGlassEyeTV By the way - your videos have such a good look to them. Inspiring, makes me want to grab my camera go out and shoot.

I haven’t tried the FX30 but if it’s anything like the FX3, it’s likely very capable but not the most inspiring tool to use.
Got some serious George Clooney vibes going in this video 🤣👍
Hah. That’s a first
love your vids
Do,the Fuji is better (Ibis,af) than Sony in your opinion? Your english od very fast and I dont catch it
No sony better for this
Agree definitely that AF is much better with Sony

FIRST! haha
Bro, get a gimbal.. or a tripod.. or stop moving ur feet. Be intentional lol. The camera movement is jarring and dizzy-ish.

@@TopshelfJunior Are you broken!? 😂 He should shoot everything at 1.2 and 120fps too to get that sweet slomo eh!? 💀

all you photo material with noise!
