@New Beginnings she's saying the ex husband knew what he was doing throughout the entire process including the divorce proceedings. He purposely didn't disclose the children he had and kept secrets. The only reason the marriage was able to be annulled was because he didn't disclose. He likely wasn't aware of that part affecting his plan. His intentions weren't pure.
She's walked through fire and came out not smelling of smoke.
When we let God be... We come out victorious.

So true......been there.....its terrifying. My ex succeeded in transforming me from a strong confident woman to a wimp of a woman. Even after the divorce he wasnt even around me and I would hear his criticisms every time I made a choice. Be it if I was driving, cooking, whatever it was I would hear him berating me. I'm only now slowly healing from that.

I also got out after one year. The last straw was when my husband refused to show up when I had to bury my Father. I’m not going to spend 20 years trying to convince someone to honor God by honoring his vows and me. Nope Deuces

I love to see this healed and empowered version of Brely. She’s hilarious. The old version of her is a classic example of how women want to be married so, so bad that they ignore the magenta/off white flags And rationalize unacceptable behavior in the name of God. In hindsight, I believe a lot of us divorced women can really speak to the importance of working on ourselves and chasing after God’s purpose for our lives, instead of a fairy tale romance delusion. Thanks for sharing this story. It's funny how she thought God told her he was the one, but she also had friends, and the first lady tell her he wasn't the one. God also uses others to let us know if they are or aren't the one. Sometimes, we can want something so much that we want to believe God told us.

I love her and am a fan but clearly that marriage wasn't ordained by God, not when other ppl knew beforehand it was a mistake (first lady, friends, etc.) That said I wish this beautiful woman the best moving forward!!!

And this is why it’s important for people to take their time and not rush. There is very scary trend of people bragging on social media about meeting, proposing and marrying in such a short space of time. It reeks of desperation and can draw a person with ill intentions. When you wait, truly take your time and get married for the right reasons, you can see things more clear. I’m glad she learned the lesson and she cab take the lessons, move on and find the RIGHT person.

I asked God to show me something about a current relationship and as always He came through. Thank you God for always coming through and using this platform on my healing and growth journey. I had that "mirror" for 2 years and it's just confirmation because my daughter told me the same thing very early on. Thank you God! The way He works and chooses to show us things is amazing even if it's difficulty that we go through in it. His strength is definitely made perfectly in our weakness.

I am so encouraged by this story. I went through divorce nine years ago and like Brely, I was private, no posting, and I only spoke to my counselor and support group. Nine years later, I am living in healing, pursuing purpose and looking forward to my husband, wherever he is. I thank God for this show because it reminds me that living God's way is the only way 🙏🏿

Firstly this woman is 50 according to her wiki page. How is this possible not only is she a beauty she is so youthful. One thing that stood out to me is her strong desire to be married correlated to the man she choose. I have learned to quiet that anxiety in myself because it leads to soul ties and heart break. It's hard when you feel ready and its taking forever but I have decided to keep busy stay feminine and wait until God brings him my way. When Brely talked about not being proposed to properly with a ring, in a way that showed submissiveness to GOD & to her, I felt that!!! My ex proposed to me with a doggone leaf 🍂 cause I was mad at him. Like a young fool, I said yes. There was never an official proposal. Our marriage was about as flimsy as that leaf 🍂😂🤦🏽♀️. There was never a solid foundation. Pay attention to the little things. They truly give you a glimpse into the future. Great interview. I simply love Ms. Brely! ❤

Hello, my name is Tina from Dallas. I just watched my first Dear Future Wifey podcast and I am definitely going to keep watching. My cousin has been telling me I need to watch but I thought it was going to be one of those shows that leaves me in tears and wishing I had a special someone in my life when I'm currently happy where I am and not dwelling on what I don't have. Not so.. I did cry with you on you podcast about the women whom you Loved who was not ready for you. I sulute you in your transparency and honesty. I too was badly hurt in the past. Abusive now x husband, abusive father to my mom, depression, motherless, abusive to myself attempting to end my life. But God! I'm now a product of what God's grace, mercy, and Love. I'm happier than I ever been in my singleness loving God and myself. I will continue to listen and learn from your willingness to hold open much needed discussion and views from men and women🙏🏾

I posted this comment in a short of this interview but it bears repeating.
Her story convinces me even more that you should run a background check on someone you are considering for marriage. I don't care if you've known them from childhood, introduced by trusted friends and family (as in her case), endorsed by your parents /pastor, etc. People are very good at presenting what they want you see and know. You get caught up in the emotions and don't see the magenta flags (her words, red if you ask me).
Also the results of a background check can be used as a barometer on the person's accountability when confronted with conflicting information. Do they freely admit or try to minimize or excuse their behavior? Although, never acknowledged children would be a hard stop for me no matter what explanation. Sexual assault /domestic violence of any kind as well.
I love Brely but her story is a cautionary tale, especially for more mature women who feel compelled by the biological and/or societal clock.
You got to protect yourself in these times.

Sometimes we want things so badly we turn magenta flags green. After listening, those flags were not magenta they were BRIGHT RED. This man showed he wasn't a provider, leader, or mature enough to be a husband. These flags were signs from God that this was not the one but be very aware that our desires can deceive us. We think it's God when it's our desires giving us the greenlight. God gives perfect gifts and he has planned a future and a hope for us Jer. 29:11. God would not walk you into an abusive marriage, he WILL redeem you from one though. We walk into fire, he walks is through it without smelling my smoke.

Kids don't ask to be here and I too went through a miscarriage. I knew then that (although I would have loved that child like the three I birth) the relationship with his or her father was not/would not be good in MANY areas...especially parenthood. I have peace in knowing that I will see my child in heaven. 📖💯📖
