I love your idea of using a non textured yarn with the highly textured yarn like my homespun! I've been puzzling over how to conquer my inability to see stitches when I use Homespun yet love the yarn so much! Even though I've been crocheting for over forty years I keep learning new things that would have never occurred to me because of other people's creative ideas being shared freely like you're doing. Thank you so much and thank you for putting time stamps in the description box! It's so convenient to be able to go directly to the materials list when I finally find the piece of paper and a pen to actually write it down and do my shopping. I really like your pattern as well. Thank you again! 💖😊🌹🌿

Thank you for your tutorials. My daughter got a starter kit, 2 years ago. She pulled it out of the closet yesterday, and I was worried whether or not I'd be able to remember anything from over 10yrs when I made her a blanket while I was pregnant. Your videos popped up in the search and now I can't wait to make some memories while crocheting with my mini.
You're a great teacher! 👍 Only suggestion I'd make is to possibly use contrasting colors for background, yarn, hook. Other than that, everything is perfect!

Wow! I could have saved so much money if I had the tip you gave at 4:14!
A few years ago I had bought, on impulse, probably 15 skeins of homespun. Metallic, rich colors. Lots of gold, copper, etc. Its beautiful....but confounding to try to see the stitches! Ended up giving it away. Why, why. Why did I never think to add a strand of a complementary smooth yarn with it?🙄
Thank you SO MUCH. Now, many yarns I would have passed by due to same issue have become usable for me.😚

Hi Twilla! It took me an accumulative total of 8-10 hours to complete this blanket. Just because I would pick it up to work on it and then have to put it down. I was able to complete this blanket within 3-4 days. I do crochet fast so your amount of time may be different than mine. 😊🧡🧶

I have worked with the textured yarn and didnt like it but after watching your video I'll be using another yarn with it thank you . Love your hidden knot trick also 😁 now off to my yarn stash to get that textured yarn out and another one to use with it and I'll make a beautiful blanket to use this winter.

Tiffany I just had to tell you I just tried your trick to add the new yarn to the old one and I love it💖 thank you for showing me and of course others lol how to do it it's so much easier than having to hide the yarn ends at the end of my project.

I love the idea of the textured yarn coupled with the regular yarn to make it easier to see the stitches. I just finished a homespun double crochet afghan and it was a nightmare trying to find the stitches. I will start doing your method from now on!
