I've been puzzling over how to conquer my inability to see stitches when I use Homespun yet love the yarn so much! A few years ago I had bought, on impulse, probably 15 skeins of homespun. Metallic, rich colors. Lots of gold, copper, etc. Its beautiful....but confounding to try to see the stitches! Ended up giving it away. Why, why. Why did I never think to add a strand of a complementary smooth yarn with it?🙄

How long did,it take you to make this throw?
Hi Twilla! It took me an accumulative total of 8-10 hours to complete this blanket. Just because I would pick it up to work on it and then have to put it down. I was able to complete this blanket within 3-4 days. I do crochet fast so your amount of time may be different than mine. 😊🧡🧶
I have worked with the textured yarn and didnt like it but after watching your video I'll be using another yarn with it thank you . Love your hidden knot trick also 😁 now off to my yarn stash to get that textured yarn out and another one to use with it and I'll make a beautiful blanket to use this winter.

I love the idea of the textured yarn coupled with the regular yarn to make it easier to see the stitches. I just finished a homespun double crochet afghan and it was a nightmare trying to find the stitches. I will start doing your method from now on!
