Rolls Royce cars are always beautiful no matter what year , make & model . Perfectly handcrafted by the delicate hands that makes them the best from the rest .

Aside from the fender skirts, the average person wouldn't notice the exterior changes. But hey it's not my money

They really are! I actually heard from someone who saw it in person in '73 - It was ordered new ($28,715) by John Hansen at Rolls Royce Columbus in Worthington, OH (owned by John McComb). The custom work was immediately commissioned and was finished prior to the 1973 Newport National Rolls Royce Owners Club Meet, and it's covered in the Nov/Dec 1973 issue of Flying Lady magazine.

@@enthusiastautohaus Many thanks for your additional information. It is always nice to know the history of a car. Interesting that the work was done to the car when it was new. Kind regards from Michael, Sydney Australia.

Of course! I actually located that issue of Flying Lady, I'm excited to see what else I can learn about it when it arrives.

That would look on an MPW 2-door!

Two things that car needs, a harvey Bailey suspension kit which is heavier coil springs heavier sway bars and stiffer shocks, engineered by Lotus just for Rolls-Royce. And I've had it in two shadows and it makes a world of difference the cars drive absolutely wonderful after it's installed. And the air tubes going down to the manifolds need to be capped off and removed and the smog pump deleted. An early Silver Spirit electronic distributor installed to eliminate the points. The chain drive power windows have a small black device known as a window break those need to be removed and the chains to be totally cleaned and greased with axle grease making the power windows fast. All the wood grain stripped restained and coated with urethane and high-speed polished and delete of the old style lacquer. Mirrored window tint Blends the stainless frames in looks fabulous on that flat glass. 1157 Switchback bulb two for the front turn indicators for the rear each light needs an 1156 LED bulb. Making them brighter. The Flasher can be simply replaced with an LED flasher that has the little black wire on it. Memory foam inserted Under The Springs in the bottom seat cushions to provide more comfort and less collapse. Why do I know all these things cuz I owned two 1973 Silver Shadows and completely restored both. I made all these modifications to my two cars and they prove to be wonderful afterwards. The front brakes a pair of Silver Spirit vented rotors and a set of four calipers simply bolt up nice easy swap out. For better front brakes. And replace all the brake hoses. It's part of routine maintenance. That's overlooked quite a bit until one day the brakes won't release and the car is stuck where it's at and won't move. The only thing that's going to cost money is that Harvey Bailey suspension kit, the rest is pretty inexpensive. Rolls-Royce parts of Rome Georgia can set you up with the distributor and the front brakes used parts removed from a Silver Spirit.

You've got to be kidding. Compared to the standard Rolls Royce Silver Shadow it looks hideous. The inside seems really nice, though but the re-"styling" is not very good. It's unique admittedly, but not for me, sorry. Take care and all the best.

Not kidding at all, I love it! It’s definitely a matter of preference. The styling of a standard Silver Shadow is fine but has never made me need one.

I agree that it's a matter of personal preference and please be assured I meant no personal offence as I've been a member of the RROC for 43+ years and I've become something of a traditionalist with these cars. Old guys like me get that way sometimes. I still feel that the car is very unique though. many thanks for your personal understanding and patience and again, all the best and take care. @@enthusiastautohaus

No offence taken! :) I completely understand, there are some cars where I have very purist tastes as well. @@david.m.304

Well i like it,its got a lot of Silver Cloud panache especially the front and the badge at the back not too keen on the steering wheel though i think I'd have a Silver Cloud one,yes a few year's ago i would have given it serious consideration I've just sold my 1980 Shadow 2, and are thinking about my second favourite car an MG 1300 seriously.

Yeah it's awfully nice, and I actually found a picture and some information on it in the November 1973 Flying Lady, it was modified when new at Rolls Royce Columbus (McComb Motors). The 50 year old custom work has held up really well!

I don't see anything of the Silver Cloud about it, and I've had one for nearly 42 years.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the Nov ‘73 Flying Lady describes it as a Silver Cloud I/II front end

There is a version of the MG 1300, called the Vanden Plas Princess that is very Rolls-Roycesque, right down to fold-down,wood rear "picnic tables " only came as RHD, I think?
