Ayyyyy! Love what you did with my pack sounds Alex!!
Thanks Lisa! They're great sounds.
These videos are an amazing life saver and time-saver. Thank you so much for making these. First day with my S2400 and I'm up and running.
Truly excellent demo of how to construct a song on the 2400. Videos like this are the best way to spread the word on how good the 2400 is.
Oh boy, it just gets better and better! I cant wait!
Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last few months :)
@Marcelo Terrance Definitely, been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :D
@Marcelo Terrance Yea, I've been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
@Marcelo Terrance yea, been using instaflixxer for since december myself :D
@Marcelo Terrance Yup, been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :D
you did an awesome job with these tutorials with an awesome unit. thank you and thank Isla 🤙
Do not have mine yet but always down to learn as I wait for its arrival. 😁 thanks
Can't wait until I get my hands on this thing.
I can’t wait to put my hands on mine.
I'm absolutely throwing down for this. That said, my only ask and hope, is that there is a future update with akai s950 style timestretch/pitch-lock ability.
I wanna live in this box, and not fuss around pre-prepping certain samples on the computer.
You've probably already heard but time stretch is on the way.
@@Iofflight78 i did! Very exciting
@@Iofflight78 still waiting on my unit. I'm one of the people who missed the last batch because the cases were delayed. Oof. Should be a week or two out from here though fingers crossed.
@@honeymojave Hoping they'll be here by next week. The case is truly worth it imo. I got one with mine.
My S2400: "gotta wait until [it] gets there". ; - ) nice discussion and example
anyone know how to use note repeat ?
🔥 🎥 I may have missed how to undo a track. Is that possible instead of erasing the entire take after playing an overdub ?
5:29 you say something in passing that's quite valuable in a drum machine, *bundling* of instrument channels to individual outs, not just individual outs... -- is this ability explained in some detail somewhere?
looking forward to abusing this machine, and seeing how quickly I can make it jack like Kenny Dope, Todd Terry, DJ Sneak, Jason Hodges.. for all the house heads!!!
It would be fun to see how Todd Terry recreates a unreleased project track on the S2400 as well :)
@@johnkanselaar2322 Respect to Tod Terry, I am more of Robert Hood, best
@@falangistavaleroso9689 Yeah, he is great to. still got the Tranquilizer Ep on vinyl
😬 can I record voices and create songs using the S2400 only?
Any way to edit this video to include chapter divisions on the scroll bar like the previous? great tutorials as always
Recorded a kick and hat in pattern 0 + 1 but can't get them to play together anyone help?
Is there a video of the SP2400 in use with a keyboard?
yhea i wonder that too
Alex at 16.00 you press solo on track 7 and a little synth sound comes in on Pattern One over the drums. (i though solo would only play that track, but the entire pattern is still playing their sounds). This is different from Pattern 2 you unmute the womans voice. Whats going on here?
Is there a way to record non quantized, or is everything always quantized? Also, can we edit micro steps for fine tuning triggers in the step sequencer?
1/256 is p much unquantized, no? -- and yes ive seen micro timing edits in another tut
Is it me or does 99/32 sound a bit like Ministry?
Is there a way to copy and paste in the step program mode?
I knew you had a bit of Gabber in your soul Alex.
Are the mute/solo buttons recordable in pattern mode? Or maybe song mode?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yup 👍🏻
demisemihemidemisemiquaver .... so then what ended up being the PPQ of this machine
There's various PPQN values that you can set. There will be a video about sync / clocks etc.
@@AlexBallMusic thanks I will look out for the video
@@terrytees An update on this, the S2400's clock resolution is 96 PPQN and I've since found out from the clever engineers that if you're using an external clock source with a different resolution then:
_"The S2400 still runs at 96PPQN, and interpolates the clock ticks in between the lower resolution input clock pulses."_
@@AlexBallMusic thanks for the update Alex
Nah , MPC for me .
Sorry, I am still not convinced :(
@stupidamericanpig Neither the demo or the interface are convincing me to get one. The SP did and still does.
Then stay with you SP. What's the problem?
@@otobotrecords No problems here. The SP stays and will not be replaced indeed.
@@johnkanselaar2322 Ok, but you still somehow have _interest_ in the S2400 though 😅
@@johnkanselaar2322 who sayed that was to replace the sp1200 ?? please .... this maschine its all we was waiting for !!!
