The vanillite line is pretty good. Chandelure is AWESOME and I love having one on my team. Trubish/Garbedor is supposed to be ugly as said. Plus Generation 5 (white) was the first Pokémon game I ever got! They are great games, they ALL are!

Alexander Davis-Powell No matter what people say, you aren't less than anyone just because your favorite Pokémon is not popular or is hated for some reason. I agree that Bulbasaur is an awesome Pokémon, and I love it too. (Ash's Bulbasaur is my favorite of his three 'starter' pokemon in the anime, especially in the Mysterious Garden episode) It's beautiful and well centered in its environment being both plant and animal, and to me it looks and acts the most peaceful out of the three starters. It's solar beam is pretty cool and it's vine whip attack is very useful for getting out of tricky situations in the anime. Choosing a different Pokémon than others is more than OK. You like it for your own personal reasons because of who you are and how you realize the good in it. If anyone makes fun of you again for liking Bulbasaur, tell them why you like it and that you're not the only person to choose Bulbasaur!
Dude, Bulbasaur needs more love. I mean, he was the first Pokemon in the Pokedex, and he has an entire wiki named after him. Plus when was the last time Charizard or Blastoise fired a giant super laser? Bulbasaur's awesome.
Bulbasaur is my fav Kanto starter i always choose Bulbasaur when i replay fire red or leaf green also in anime Bulbasaur is my fav pokemon i remember i was so sad when Ash left his Bulbasaur and it was the only time i was sad for one of ash's pokemon leaving him.

I think generation 5 (mainly Black 2 and White 2) is the best in the series. I like the stories, i think Unova is the best region, Unova had the best original music and so many great pokémon + designs DON'T HATE ME FOR THIS!
Plexi Unova doesn't really get much hate anymore. The main thing I personally don't like is that they're very linear and led to pretty lazy game design in XY and SuMo.

Can I admit something. Most of my favorite Pokémon are Unova. I love Everything from Victini to Genesect. Especially Haxorus,Hydreigon,Samurott,Serperior,Bisharp,Chandelure,and I even love Garbodor and Vanilluxe.
I can never hate a Pokemon region. Cause here's the thing... Even as an adult I'm still discovering the games. I grew up with Pokemon but we couldn't afford to keep upgrading systems and when I was a little girl I loved the anime more than the games. When I tried playing Yellow, I got frustrated a LOT with it. But when I got Diamond Version when I was older, it was so much more enjoyable. The animation, the colors, everything. It continued on with Platinum, HeartGold and then finally White version. I enjoyed each and every one. And I'm looking forward to playing Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, X or Y and then finally the one I'm most hyped for Pokemon Moon. I never got to play games like FireRed or the original Ruby and Sapphire. I hope to get them since I still have my DS lite... But I can't hate the regions themselves. I loved Kanto mainly for the first anime. Johto I loved the Pokemon themselves. My starter every time for Johto is the unpopular Chikorita I loved the Hoen SHOW but I never got to experience the games. But Hoen's Pokemon were a ton of fun to see and the region itself when it was animated was gorgeous and fun. Sinnoh was my first real game. I loved every single thing about it. I spent months playing it and getting special event Pokemon and loving on them. I will never delete my Diamond version game. I just won't. Platinum was fun too even if it was basically a rehash of Diamond. The only disappointment was how contests were. I wish they were like the show. Unova I ADORED. It was so much fun and enjoyable. With Unova and Sinnoh their animes did NOT do them justice at all. I admit... I really disliked them. And now I'm excited to see the game version of Kalos and get to see Alola. I can never HATE a region. I can hate their shows though.
Lucky. You got the event Pokemon. I started with Pearl and never even knew there were events. My next game was White 2, used, and I opened it up, saw the slip in the package advertising how to get Genesect, looked at the date, and it had already passed. I didn't even know Keldeo existed. After getting HeartGold and then White, both of which's events had already passed, I finally saved up enough to get a 3DS half-price on a Black Friday sale, which is in November, which meant I missed the first 11 event Pokemon redistributions and I couldn't make it to the twelfth.
Niqchu vanillite is amazing. But its evolutions don't look as good. Sadly, it just gets worse. Vanillish looks like it has tits and vanilluxe is straight up weird. It looks like a unovan weezing.
Unpopular opinion, I like the Unova anime. Yes, Iris was annoying, and Ash losing to Cameron in the league was stupid, but the animation is phenomenal and I liked how the made Team Rocket an actual threat. Plus Ash's Oshawott was adorable and hilarious, easily one of his best Pokemon.

I loved your video so here are some of my opinions to match your list: No.10. Personally my favorite is Charmander. At the time I had no idea which was the most popular, only that the cute fire lizard was perfect for me. No. 9. I am not entirely sure what my favorite region is since I love them all so much. They all offer different types of terrain and they all fill me with great memories but if i had to choose it would probably be Hoenn too. No. 8. I completely agree with you on this one. I love Chandelure and Klinkklang and while I do'nt really like Garbodor and Drudigon its not as if I hate them either. .No. 7. I disagree with you on this one while its true Kanto has a pretty plain landscape I wouldn't call it bland it still has memorable routes and cities. No. 6. Once again I completely agree. Personally I think these games were beautiful with amazing Gyms, routes and cities. The story was decent, not a masterpiece but really does any main series pokemon game have an amazing story? Honestly I much prefer the sequels to the original Black & White and I love the fact that they are sequels rather than the third game of a generation that is basicaly the same to the originals. No. 5. Yes Red& Blue were amazing for their time and the money spent on them, but compare them to the newer games and the don't stand a chance. Now you have way more Pokemon to build a team, 3 cool new types and way less glitches. And remember how broken certain Pokemon were in R&B? Not to mention how amazing the colours and graphics of the newer games compared to the old. No. 4. I could go on all day about anime openings but basically I love them all. No.3. I more or less agree Kanto is a big part of what makes HG&SS so amazing but I think if it were just the Johto region they would still be good games. Johto isn't an amazing region but it could still hold its own against Unova or Kanto IMO. No.2. As I have said above I don't really hate anything to do with Pokemon its all great (or at least ok). I mean no region is better than an other and if you read this comment you can probably tell I have a hard time choosing favorites but if somebody just likes on region way more than an other its completely understandable. This video reminded me of something. In the gen 1 opening, a Gengar and a Nidorino are fighting. The scene ends with Nidorino jumping up and biting the Gengar, but in the original Kanto games, bite was a normal type move, so it wouldn't effect the ghost type Gengar. That makes no sense.
Best region in my opinion is Johto. Not even because it's connected to Kanto-- because of nostalgia. Pokemon HeartGold was my first ever main-series Pokemon game (My first actual Pokemon game was Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia). Typhlosion will always be my all-time favourite Pokemon. But I honestly could not care less if someone dislikes the Johto games-- It's their opinion. My opinion may be different, but does that really mean I should hate that person and insult them because they have a different opinion? If someone doesn't like Typhlosion, I get it. He's one of now 802 Pokemon and I can completely understand why someone wouldn't like him.

HerveyShmervy That's mainly why people critisized(spelled that wrong) Pokemon Black and White. The sequels too. But the plot was amazing, character were staggering. Even Ghetis the antagonist tried to kill you! The only other person that tried to do that was Cyrus. But Black and White were Pokemon's top 2 games. The second one being Pokemon Emerald. Best pokemon game hands down

I agree with your thoughts on vanilite and chandelure. I never had a vanilite on my team, but it was cute enough that I didn't care. And ghost types have always appealed to me, and litwik was no exception, I was rather fond of it and it's evolutions
Wallace is a better fit for the Champion title in Hoenn, more so than Steven. And Red is an extremely bland and overrated character with little to no personality whatsoever.

I love love LOVE your unpopular opinions! It's nice to see someone with a different perspective rather than agreeing on a lot of the same things, and I particularly like what you have to say about Kanto, Johto, Gen 1, and Gold and Silver and its remakes. I just can't get the same enjoyment out of Red and Blue as I do with Sun and Moon. (Especially with how broken some aspects of Gen I are). I don't think Gen I is bad though, there are plenty of good things I can say about the first games, too. But, I do love just about everything you talked about here, and agree with a lot of it.
Truegreen7, I am happy to hear that you like Emboar (my fav Pokemon). A lot of people hate it for being the third fire/fighting type and its design . It is cool to see some love to a Pokemon most people hate.
10: It's quite staggering how long Venusaur's strengths as an all-arounder or a status move user were overlooked, but now... 9: Hoenn's one of my top regions, for sure. 8: Same here! I know that Vanillite's line are actually living icicles, and that the ice cream look is just an aesthetic element. I don't know, maybe I'm just really drawn to Pokémon that have stylish designs. 7: Yup...Kanto is pretty, well, basic. Probably the only stand-out terrains were the Pokémon Tower and the Power Plant. Other than that...just a lot of grasslands and caverns. Of course, this was only the beginning. Diversity set in more and more with newer regions to come. 6: I had so much fun with Poké Star Studios - a nice and clever way to do battle scenario challenges that you'd probably only see otherwise in XD. 5: Same here. It obviously started the groundwork, but that means there was room for things to get WAY better from there on out. 4: Haven't been in the anime for a long time since I stopped watching TV altogether, so I don't have much to contribute here. 'Cept that "Born To Be A Winner" was definitely epic! 3: Yeah...I do sometimes fear that people would instantly forget that Johto existed once they started re-exploring Kanto. 2: Likewise! It's hard for me to decide for the best region between 2 and 3. Really, I love gen 2 because of the starters and some of the other beginning pokemon. (Noctowl and hoot hoot) But there's also gen 3 which has its starters which are AMAZING, I love the environments of gen 3 and I really want to know more about it. Also, I really love your channel. Having Sceptile as your logo is really good. Even though my favourite colour is blue, I really like how yours is green. (Though, I'm not too sure why) You also have honest opinions on every topic. Your videos are really great and have good topics on them. The ONLY thing that's not good about your channel is that you don't upload very often. (Which I very much understand why) I also have a recommended video for you to make... I've noticed in your videos that you occasionally put in an environment somewhere and show various pokemon displaying their regular X & Y animations. So, why not make 7 videos in a series about doing all the pokemon in their environment starting with gen 1, then 2, and 3 and so on. You may not be a very popular channel, but I really like yours, keep up thr good work man! Hope you get lots of subscribers and have lots of good things happen to you in your life.

I think the Johto region is one of the best and for me it's because I really love the pokemons it had (in the original and the remakes) and the best pokemon music. The story itself isn't really good but I think it's just the first generations they just didn't focus on that as much as now. The postgame just like you said is really good and probably the best with the emerald version's maybe.
Yeah! I loved Black2 and White2. Now, I only have 3 pokemon games, each from the 3 latest generations, but I LOVE all of them. Now I don't like Black2 the BEST, but it was a very close second to my favorite THAT I'VE PLAYED, which is X and Y.

Lucky. You got the event Pokemon. I started with Pearl and never even knew there were events. My next game was White 2, used, and I opened it up, saw the slip in the package advertising how to get Genesect, looked at the date, and it had already passed. I didn't even know Keldeo existed. After getting HeartGold and then White, both of which's events had already passed, I finally saved up enough to get a 3DS half-price on a Black Friday sale, which is in November, which meant I missed the first 11 event Pokemon redistributions and I couldn't make it to the twelfth.

Unpopular opinion, I like the Unova anime. Yes, Iris was annoying, and Ash losing to Cameron in the league was stupid, but the animation is phenomenal and I liked how the made Team Rocket an actual threat. Plus Ash's Oshawott was adorable and hilarious, easily one of his best Pokemon.

I loved your video so here are some of my opinions to match your list:
No.10. Personally my favorite is Charmander. At the time I had no idea which was the most popular, only that the cute fire lizard was perfect for me.
No. 9. I am not entirely sure what my favorite region is since I love them all so much. They all offer different types of terrain and they all fill me with great memories but if i had to choose it would probably be Hoenn too.
No. 8. I completely agree with you on this one. I love Chandelure and Klinkklang and while I do'nt really like Garbodor and Drudigon its not as if I hate them either.
.No. 7. I disagree with you on this one while its true Kanto has a pretty plain landscape I wouldn't call it bland it still has memorable routes and cities.
No. 6. Once again I completely agree. Personally I think these games were beautiful with amazing Gyms, routes and cities. The story was decent, not a masterpiece but really does any main series pokemon game have an amazing story? Honestly I much prefer the sequels to the original Black & White and I love the fact that they are sequels rather than the third game of a generation that is basicaly the same to the originals.
No. 5. Yes Red& Blue were amazing for their time and the money spent on them, but compare them to the newer games and the don't stand a chance. Now you have way more Pokemon to build a team, 3 cool new types and way less glitches. And remember how broken certain Pokemon were in R&B? Not to mention how amazing the colours and graphics of the newer games compared to the old.
No. 4. I could go on all day about anime openings but basically I love them all.
No.3. I more or less agree Kanto is a big part of what makes HG&SS so amazing but I think if it were just the Johto region they would still be good games. Johto isn't an amazing region but it could still hold its own against Unova or Kanto IMO.
No.2. As I have said above I don't really hate anything to do with Pokemon its all great (or at least ok).
No.1. I mean no region is better than an other and if you read this comment you can probably tell I have a hard time choosing favorites but if somebody just likes on region way more than an other its completely understandable.

Hoenn is my favorite too. The Hoenn remakes were the first pokemon games I ever played and my Treecko kicked butt.
This video reminded me of something. In the gen 1 opening, a Gengar and a Nidorino are fighting. The scene ends with Nidorino jumping up and biting the Gengar, but in the original Kanto games, bite was a normal type move, so it wouldn't effect the ghost type Gengar. That makes no sense.

Best region in my opinion is Johto. Not even because it's connected to Kanto-- because of nostalgia. Pokemon HeartGold was my first ever main-series Pokemon game (My first actual Pokemon game was Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia). Typhlosion will always be my all-time favourite Pokemon.
But I honestly could not care less if someone dislikes the Johto games-- It's their opinion. My opinion may be different, but does that really mean I should hate that person and insult them because they have a different opinion? If someone doesn't like Typhlosion, I get it. He's one of now 802 Pokemon and I can completely understand why someone wouldn't like him.
Same. I like Johto for its unique atmosphere by itself and because Soul Silver was my first Pokémon game.

HerveyShmervy That's mainly why people critisized(spelled that wrong) Pokemon Black and White. The sequels too. But the plot was amazing, character were staggering. Even Ghetis the antagonist tried to kill you! The only other person that tried to do that was Cyrus. But Black and White were Pokemon's top 2 games. The second one being Pokemon Emerald. Best pokemon game hands down

I love love LOVE your unpopular opinions! It's nice to see someone with a different perspective rather than agreeing on a lot of the same things, and I particularly like what you have to say about Kanto, Johto, Gen 1, and Gold and Silver and its remakes. I just can't get the same enjoyment out of Red and Blue as I do with Sun and Moon. (Especially with how broken some aspects of Gen I are). I don't think Gen I is bad though, there are plenty of good things I can say about the first games, too. But, I do love just about everything you talked about here, and agree with a lot of it.

7: Yup...Kanto is pretty, well, basic. Probably the only stand-out terrains were the Pokémon Tower and the Power Plant. Other than that...just a lot of grasslands and caverns. Of course, this was only the beginning. Diversity set in more and more with newer regions to come.
6: I had so much fun with Poké Star Studios - a nice and clever way to do battle scenario challenges that you'd probably only see otherwise in XD.
5: Same here. It obviously started the groundwork, but that means there was room for things to get WAY better from there on out.

It's hard for me to decide for the best region between 2 and 3. Really, I love gen 2 because of the starters and some of the other beginning pokemon. (Noctowl and hoot hoot) But there's also gen 3 which has its starters which are AMAZING, I love the environments of gen 3 and I really want to know more about it.
Also, I really love your channel. Having Sceptile as your logo is really good. Even though my favourite colour is blue, I really like how yours is green. (Though, I'm not too sure why) You also have honest opinions on every topic. Your videos are really great and have good topics on them.
The ONLY thing that's not good about your channel is that you don't upload very often. (Which I very much understand why)

I've noticed in your videos that you occasionally put in an environment somewhere and show various pokemon displaying their regular X & Y animations. So, why not make 7 videos in a series about doing all the pokemon in their environment starting with gen 1, then 2, and 3 and so on.

Even though he's my least favorite Kanto starter I LOVE Bulbasur. Also not my favorite but Hoenn is cool. Unova's has a lot of awesome yet underrated Pokemon. I do agree with you on Kanto. It had some good spots buts over all the whole "gameboy limitation" definitely took a toll. I have yet to play B2 or W2 but I REALLY want to get B2. Your recommendation makes me more excited. I definitely agree with you on red and blue. I haven't heard all the Pokemon anime themes so I'm neutral. While Johto wasn't my favorite region I don't entirely agree but I do see your points. I do greatly dislike some Pokemon but I agree with you on that. I agree on the last one. I do have a favorite gen but organizing a list would be hard for me. Over all we shared a lot of opinions.

I think the Johto region is one of the best and for me it's because I really love the pokemons it had (in the original and the remakes) and the best pokemon music. The story itself isn't really good but I think it's just the first generations they just didn't focus on that as much as now. The postgame just like you said is really good and probably the best with the emerald version's maybe.

Because it's a chandelier. Though the point is made moot when most of the people who hate it find Kanto to be the best region, and Kanto has a literal ball that evolves into an upside down ball, a pile of scum that evolves into an angrier pile of scum, a magnet that evolves into three magnets, a brown bump that evolves into three angry brown bumps, etc etc.

Don't question the logic of such people. Magnemite, Voltorb... These Pokémon exist since the beginning and you never see anyone complaining about those, they're fine. Chandelure is totally awesome as well. One of the best in Gen 5 imo.
THANK YOU!! FINALLY!! I freakin' love chandelure and vanillish, and I don't have any problems with the other hated pokemon from that region. It was the generation I grew up with, so it has some of my favorite pokemon to date.
