Never was able to get into them proper, but always loved this song, especially the vocal flourishes in the last chorus. Blue eyes are fine, I have them; but my previous (I don't like the word "ex") solidified my love for brown eyes.

As with many Swedish bands, ABBA reverberates through here. This is amplified by the disco sound they mostly use. It's Disco with Melodic Death / Power Metal. The two male singers have since been replaced, Elize used to be with Kamelot.
Amaranthine means undying, in the reference of this song it's about undying love. I wish more folks would check out this band and especially this song, it's probably my favorite. If you check out more you will realize the 2 male singers change, the new male singers started with the band 2 albums ago. Other great songs to check out would be Their cover of 82nd all the way, Helix, Digital World, Walk With Me (Warning - very sad song and video), Viral, Boom!1, and Endlessly.
Amaranth is an ancient grain, food of the immortals (still available in specialty produce shops), and as others have said, Amaranthine means undying, immortal, or everlasting (love in this case). I've also heard this genre called pop metal, and the running joke is that all their music videos are actually shampoo commercials. Lol, they're good at keeping the sound fresh with those vocal switch-ups though!

Elize is one of Floor's close friends. Floor hosted Elize at her home studio for one of her "Floor Finds" TH-cam interviews during the pandemic. Elize auditioned with Nightwish when Tarja left but the band decided to go with Annette. Floor came along years later when NW split with Annette.
This is one of my favorite songs of this band. I heard them for the first time at the festival "Masters of Rock". It was great. Also I recommend their song "Maximize"

Eliza was with Kamelot at the Nightwish concert. And with Alissa from Arch Enemy, then The Agonist. All three bands toured the United States together at the time. The concert came about because Anette (the Nightwish singer at the time) was ill and had to go to the hospital with a fever. After the next concert she was kicked out of the band. A Dutch woman who had just been released from therapy had to step in temporarily and within 48 hours. Floor has been doing this for almost 10 years now.

I just have to think of when i saw the Grateful Dead in Bremen, Germany in the 80s, and there was a guy installing some microfones just to record the sound, and he had to tell the guards 3-4 times that he knew Jerry Garcia and that Jerry likes to know how the sound in the audience is and thats why he does it. That was a total different world at that time.

I personally consider them pop metal. It’s really catchy and easy for anyone to grasp. I been a fan of there’s since the beginning. I recommend their song “Hunger” next.

This is one of their softer songs if you like. Its quite poppy as you mentioned, but they do have heavier songs like GG6, Archangel, Do or Die and Boom1 as an example. It does frustrate me that people keep reacting to their poppy songs because it usually turns them off to reacting to some really good songs that they have. I hope you give them some more listens.
I call this Europop metal. They have some songs that are harsher and some other ballads. Elize has such a pretty voice and of course, she is stunning. Their song Endlessly is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, yet the song Boom 1! is a super heavy all-growl metal rap. Other favorites are Archangel and Helix. Because of the Nightwish Debaucle, in which Nightwish's singer Annette Olzen being unable to perform in 2012, Elize and Alyssa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) filled in for the Nightwish set -- with only an hour to prepare and fill in. As a result, Elize tries to know the music and the songs of bands she travels with, like Sabaton. Amaranthe even did a cover of Sabaton's song 82nd All The Way, which was really, really good. Plus, out of all the singers I've ever heard, Elize is good enough to even be put on mainstream US rock radio (Listen to Endlessly to see what I'm talking about.). Anyways, glad you found another band that is really good at what they do!

I think if Nightwish had not gotten Floor, they may have continued in their pop-studio style path and hired Elize as their front woman. What a great singer and that look. More upbeat and house-mix type songs from Amaranthe blow away most bands in their genre. Their movie style video productions are top notch. ex. Rozhodně znějí dobře, ona má krásný hlas i zjev (ostatně nemusíte závidět, vypadáte také skvěle), ale kombinace tří různých hlasů je udělaná velice dobře! Já jsem sice rock/hardrock odkojen, metal považuji za slepou uličku pro tzv. třapohlavy, ale poslední dobou více fandím holkám! Chlapi a kluci jsou jen pozéři, ač někteří také umí i hrát! 😇 They definitely sound good, she has a beautiful voice and appearance (no need to envy, you look great too), but the combination of three different voices is done very well! I am admittedly a rock/hardrock junkie, I consider metal a dead end for so called three-headed people, but lately I'm more of a fan of the girls! Don't like this band very much. BUT... There's a bunch of songs featured Elize, I really like to listen: Kamelot - Sacrimony; Timo Tolkki's Avalon - Enshrined in my memory; Dreamstate - Evolution
Never heard of them. I checked out some of their other stuff, not for me. I'd describe it as a musical comic book/metal theater. That said, they're technically talented for sure. But that's just me, I can't like all the things even if I try. Clearly people love them (I saw one vid with over 31 mill hits) and more power to them.

Don't like this band very much. BUT... There's a bunch of songs featured Elize, I really like to listen: Kamelot - Sacrimony; Timo Tolkki's Avalon - Enshrined in my memory; Dreamstate - Evolution
Never heard of them. I checked out some of their other stuff, not for me. I'd describe it as a musical comic book/metal theater. That said, they're technically talented for sure. But that's just me, I can't like all the things even if I try. Clearly people love them (I saw one vid with over 31 mill hits) and more power to them.
