Hey Rachel, thanks for the reaction, we in the band appreciate it! Let us know if you want to come out to a show in the US this Oct/Nov 😁🥳
Replying to fans and being chill with reactions.
Very cool 😎
Didnt expect anything less but still.
Very cool 👍
@@F1rstWorldNomaD We are all just music lovers :D
You're an awesome guitar player and writer Olof, and a really nice guy. You're the 1st member of the band I ever met, at the bar after your set opening for Within Temptation in LA. Next tour is when I started doing vip. Far and away one of my favorite bands.
ain’t no way you’re all actually falling for this
Y'all were so good when you came to Austin, Texas. Loved the duo with Dragonforce!!
Been following Y'all since 2012 and finally got the chance.
Thanks for being amazing!
Elize, Jake E (clean), and Andreas Solvestrom (harsh) are seen here. This was a ballad from their self titled first record in 2011. Mikael and Nils weren't part of the band yet here. Nils Molin replace Jake E in 2017. Henrik "GG6" Englund Wilhelmsson on harsh from 2013-2022. Mikael Sehlin just joined this year.
Elize auditioned for Nightwish when Anette was picked, Tuomas felt she too young at the time. ELize and Alissa White-Gluz were touring with Kamelot, and opening for Nightwish, in 2012 when Anette had to go to the hospital and couldn't perform. Elize and Alissa sang the Nightwish set in Denver, Floor made it for the Seattle concert.
For more from Amaranthe, try Archangel, Boom!1!, PVP, Helix, and their brand new song Damnation Flame.
I want to add Viral to the list.
Short note to PvP: This song is (acording to the official video descrition) the official anthem for the swedish esports team.
All of this is correct and saved me from having to explain it. Kudos to you sir. I would also like to add the Nexus to the list of songs to check out. My personal favorite
@@DavidJohnson-rc7jg Nexus was my introduction to the band, with the video looking like the band is breaking out of a cyroprison.
@@alexthorpe6583right it was an awesome video. it looked like a big budget film in the intro this was my first song i heard by them. afterwards i just fell into the rabbit hole and never got out. this is easily my 2nd fav band of all time. really miss Jake tho his clean vocals were almost hypnotic
@@DavidJohnson-rc7jg Haha, that totally sounds like how I experienced it. I've been to hundrets of concerts over the last two decades, but Amaranthe still stays as my 2nd most live-seen band.
Amaranthe has a fun, poppy spin on metal while still staying heavy. Other examples of this strong pop feel include Dream and Helix.
Brothers of Metal is another solid band with three vocalists. Fun fact they're from the same town as Sabaton.
When the guitrist got married, Elize wrote a ballad called 'Endlessly' for them to have the first dance to. if you want to hear the range and sheer power of her vocals, this would be a definate listen. Titled.......Endlessly (an Amaranthe wedding)
Thats a good one too!
They switched vocalists a couple of times, so Elize is the only one from this video that is still in the band. So you got some names wrong, but great reaction :)
Elize Ryd has always been one of my favourite female vocalists, her voice is so sweet yet can be very powerful. I found out of her listening to Smash Into Pieces (another metal Swedish band) song "My Cocaine", where she fits so well with Adam's singing, I'd suggest you give it a try as it has very deep lyrics and beautiful vocals.
Enjoyed this and your reaction, I knew that I’d seen Elize before, she also has toured with Kamelot (she’s gorgeous), need to look up more of their repertoire! 🌹
Amaranthe has so many fantastic songs but this one has to be my favorite. From the intro to the last note its just perfect.
if you haven't already give "Stay a little while" a listen
@@MrHurusaiokay thanks!
Another great reaction. 2 thumbs up. Congrats on your continued success.
I love Amaranthe! please check out their other stuff too!
Awesome reaction ❤
This song is amazing!
Amaranthe are awesome. Looking forward to seeing them in Australia in August.
Glad you started checking out Amaranthe. They are really good, and there is a lot more you can check out from them. Some of their songs like Hunger and Dynamite have a lot more of the electronic elements than this did.
Also, if you want another band with 3 vocalists, I would highly recommend Brothers of Metal. Yggdrasil and Njord would both be great songs to start with by them. Also, they're another Sweidsh metal band lol
The 1st time i met them, I told Jake that his and Elize's voices fit more perfectly together than any other duo I've ever heard.
YES! More people need to hear these people, other bands in this vein would be New Years Day, Icon for Hire, Veridia, The Dirty Youth.
You should definitely watch Amaranthes ”Endlessly”. It’s beautiful ballad recorded on their guitarist Olofs wedding.
love this band! love reaction from them. so unique,
Another incredible band on earth Three Vocalist
This is what is known as a Power Ballad..
This has become one of my fav. bands. More people need to hear them!
My personal top 5 songs in no particular order.
1: Amaranthe - Fearless
2: Amaranthe - The Nexus
3: Amaranthe - Helix - metal version AND acoustic version
4: Amaranthe - 82nd All the Way (Sabaton cover)
I concur
And definitely many more
🔥🔥🤘🔥🔥
FEARLESS is, for me, peak Amaranthe. Mikkel and Nils got such great style. PVP amd 82nd also show off a whole lot of what the are about.
Power metal vocal,s growls (rap), pop-ish vocals (dont crucify me, pls), heavy metal/electro/industrial instrumentation.
Oh, and the drummer always kills it. The pulse of some of those songs is unreal.
I always love your reaction Rachel and I really need you to react for 'Come On' by Oktaf Kanis, thank you Rachel!
I love this band!
*There are a lot more songs from AMARANTHE to discover : "Viral", "365", "Boom!1", "GGG", "Digital World", "The Nexus", "Fearless", "Adrenalina" [Acoustic Version], "Crystalline", "Find Life", ....* 🎵🎸🎹🥁🎸🎵❤🔥😈
Elize has very high tone, clean and powerful voice. She is very unique. And 2 guys vocalists are exclusive as well.
Saw them in my hometown borlänge in sweden! best money i ever spent
The Nexus, Drop Dead Cynical, and Digital World are a few more from Amaranthe worth checking out!
Her Alissa White Gluz are both featured on Kamelot's Sacrimony . Watch the live concert version
I can't remember if you have ever done a Sabaton reaction, but there is a video where Amaranthe join Sabaton on the stage for their song 88nd All the Way. Well worth a look.
Amaranthe brings the show every time, no doubt. 3 vocalists... yeah, great stuff. Ever check out Ayreon? The Day the World Breaks Down...11 lead singers, one after the other after the other, all different, but all mesh beautifully. Big recommend there for ya
While this stays a beautiful song the band has developed so much since there first album along with some changes in (usually) the secondary vocalist
there 2 latest albums Manifest and The Catalyst have all amazing numbers in them. I really wish this band would get more mainstream recognition.
freakin goosebumps!!!!!!
i am from england and you are lovely crazy....i love it
Before Marko left Nightwish they had Floor as the goddess of lead vocals, Marko as male vocalist and Troy as backup singer.
You should definitely react to more amaranth they are such a great band
Hey Amaranthe is my favorite band. Thanks for the reaction. Tell you what, Amaranthe is unique metal band. If you listen their album you will know that they have amazing recording song.
They are soo freakin good
rayactions: it's crazy that amaranthe has 3 singers!
voice play: am i a joke to you?
Btw Rachel if you want to see Elise sing I wish I had an angel song to Marco, check the Finnish Vain Elämää series. It has Waldo performing with Elise Dye.
Elize is supernaturally beautiful... like Luthien Tinuviel.
You should react to 'Oktaf Kanis - Come On', goodluck Rachel 💜
More Amaranthe! Please! This is the most vanilla metal song they have, so from here the next will be heavier. Cant go wrong with amaranthe, they reached the Electric Callboy Rave metal sound back in 2013! Keep up the Metal Reactions!
Some songs by Amaranthe I recommend would be The Nexus, Hunger, Invincible, Afterlife, 1,000,000 Lightyears, True, Electroheart.
I think it's time for you to check the drummers wife Melissa Bonny (if you haven't already) with her band Ad Infinitum.
The songs Upside Down or Animals are a good starting point.
If you want a heavier but still amazing song by Amaranthe, I would suggest Drop Dead Cynical. It was the first song I ever heard by this band and it is still one of my favorites.
I love their voices together. One of my other favorites from these guys is Nexus. I would highly recommend. Keep it metal. \m/
I love the third pearson talk😂 but you haven't heard anything yet
Grazie Rachel
One of My favorite bands you should to react to the song unreal
If you want a blend of all 3 at the same time check out their song “Helix”
I won't do the whole band explanation as someone beat me to it, but Amaranthe is one of my fave bands. I must've seen them live like 3 or 4 times already (1 of which was a support act for Within Temptation) and they absolutely killed it every time. One of the concerts I was front row pressed right up against the stage. I got to shake and hold Elize's hand for a second as she was greeting fans at the end of the show. I contemplated never washing my hand again. lol.
The next video you should watch is definitely Boom!1! (or however they spelled it). That video is insane and so fun to watch. After that, Helix and GG6, in that order. Not sure of the whole story, but they had rented a rundown warehouse to shoot some videos and they filmed Helix and realized they still had time left and daylight, so decided to shoot GG6 as well. But that video was more of a fun, fuck around shoot.
Very cool! ❤
(Reaction request) Oktaf Kanis - Come On 🖤
Yes please 🙏🏻🔥
Thanks
Not sure where in Canada you live - but Amaranthe is gping to be in Montreal Nov 5 and Toronto Nov 6 -
This is almost my favourite lineup with Amaranthe. As much as i got respect and love for "Andy" aka Andreas Solvestrom as a growler,my absolute favourite growler in the history of Amaranthe is by far Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson aka GG6. For a good video to see my favourite lineup in one of theyr first videos together, you can check out: Amaranthe - Digital World. Jake E has shaven his dreads, wich i always found kind of sad,as he looked super cool with them in this band. it gave him such a badass look, but i understand that people want changes lol.
But yeah, you just discovered my next favourite band right next after Nightwish, and Elize as you have been informed with already,is a close and good friend with all the members in Nightwish,as well as Alissa White Gluz, for theyr historical night together in Denver 2012 where they saved Nightwish from cancelling a concert due to Anette being rushed to the hospital for sickness.
Believe it or not,but this is considered one of theyr slowest songs, the closest they come to a power ballad. Not all "metal heads" like this band,i dont know..... its some kind of personal written rule that bands like this are considered too soft to be in the metal genre. I respect people having different music taste then myself, but this is often talks about throwing shade and insults towards a hard working band, that has a increasing following still today. They deserve to be respected on the same level as the Metallicas,Slipnots,Sepulturas and whatever.
This trio of vocalists has this unique way of taking turns for the most part,it has always been theyr thing. Yes,sometimes you do hear that they all come together and harmonize in the chorus. But here is another perfect example of them taking turns. You kept mentioning Nils who hasnt arrived yet in this video,he is in this video with Elize and Henrik "GG6": Amaranthe - Dream.
Oh,and i was told by Elize that in this video she might have gotten a tip or 2 from Floor. What it is,you will find out during the video. I had honestly never seen Elize do this to such perfection,as after this video released: Amaranthe - Maximize.
Its back to my favourite lineup with Elize as the frontwoman,Jake E and Henrik "GG6" on the co-lead vocals. I believe this was Jake E`s last official video as you actually never see him in the video, you just hear his vocals. But such a energy rush of a song!
This song is from Amaranthes early days ´,when thay had a different set up. .If you want a beautiful duet between Elize Ryd and the present singer (clean vocals) Nils Molin....
Please go react to Amaranthes song "Crystaline"...its a quite recent song ..and very beautiful. You can also check out their song "Endlessly" ...with only Elize . Its about one of the other members , Olofs, wedding inTransylvania.......For the MOST recent song you can just as well stay in Transsylvania ...as its about Vampires an suches called "Damnation Flame" Thats more like Amaranthes usual style though :-) GREAT REACTION BY THE WAY!!! :-)
Rachel, next react 'Oktaf Kanis - Come On' thanks Rachel ❤
Crystalline is also a very beautiful song to react to.
If you want to hear something faster and heavier (like most of their songs), check out "Hunger"!
Fun fact that I wanna share with you regarding the name of the song.
The word amaranthine is the name of a flower which in Latin is considered to be "unfading", "undying", "eternal", "forever living". In other words an eternal being :)
For the more heavier stuff from them i would suggest songs like Drop dead cynical or Digital World. If you want to hear some more ballad like stuff, songs like Strong or Unified.
3 vocalists are very unique... Brothers of Metal?
El vals para mi boda 😍
Please do Endlessly and 82nd All the Way!
If you think 3 vocalists was a bit crazy, how about 11? Yep. Check out The Day the World Breaks Down by Ayreon. Arjen Lucassen is the mastermind of the Ayreon project. Each album tells a story and has a bunch of different vocalists and other performers. Arjen writes pretty much all of it, plays guitars, bass, and a lot of the keyboards. He also does several other projects like Star One, Guilt Machine, and others. And most of it is excellent in my opinion.
You should check out Kamelot "Sacrimony" With Elize and Alissa from Arch Enemy
(request) Oktaf Kanis - Come On 🙏🔥
Yes 3 vocals 😄
First off, that wasn't Nils that was Jay the original clean vocals guy. Second their official music type is Pop Metal. Also just curious if you had never heard this before how did you know there was growling coming after you had only finished with Elise singing the first verse?
Check "Stardust" or "Serendipity" from them, I guess those songs reunite everything about Amaranthe 🤟
I think you should listen to "Do or Die" with their mannerisms and there is only Elize from bander but it is the former singer from Arch Enemy and the current singer was also in Kemalot with another Swedish (Tommy)
❤❤❤
Listen to Crystalline, Elize's vocals are beautiful, but I actually get totally blown away by Niels vocals.
Like Chris said, they’ve had some turnover with male vocalists in the past 13 years. 6 studio albums so far, and they released a vampire themed single recently that will appear on their upcoming 7th album. They originally described their style as a fusion of electro-pop and death metal. I think we just call it Modern Metal now.
Though Amaranthe doesn't gather as many clicks as other videos, please do check out more of their stuff!
Dream, The Nexus, Fearless are definitely on the recommended list
This was the first Amaranthe album in 2011, featuring Elize Ryd (female vocals), Jake E. (clean male vocals) and Andy Solvestrom (harsh male vocals)... the band formed in Sweden in 2008 & is a mix of metal, rock and electronic dance/ R&B music w/ Olof Morck (guitar/ programming/ producer), Morten Lowe Sorensen (drums) and Johan Andreassen (bass)... But it was the 2nd album 'The Nexus' (2013) that broke the band internationally... Elize Ryd had performed and toured w/ the likes of Kamelot and even did a gig w/ Nightwish.
However, the harsh vocalist Andy Solvestrom left the band and was replaced by Henrik Englund for 'The Nexus' tour.
Amaranthe were more successful w/ subsequent albums 'Massive addictive' (2014) and 'Maximalism' (2016)...
However, vocalist Jake E. (Lundberg) opted to leave Amaranthe in 2017 and formed his own metal band Cyrha (They have 3 albums to date) w/ former members of In Flames.
Nils Molin (male clean vocals) joined in 2017 and did the next 2 albums - 'Helix' (2018) and 'Manifest' (2020)... In 2022, Henrik Englund announced he was leaving Amaranthe... he was eventually replaced by Mikael Sehlin (harsh male vocals) and will be featured on the next Amaranthe studio album 'The Catalyst' due out in early 2024.
More Amaranthe songs - 'The Nexus' ... 'Drop dead cynical'... 'Digital world' ... 'Invincible' ... 'Viral'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
I don't know if you already have but maybe you should check out Brothers of Metal. They are another band that features three vocalists. However, they are Nordic themed and at time s have a bit of comedy in their videos. It is just old-fashioned fun metal.
Boom!1
Amaranthe are just a fun (and talented) band who manage to stand out because they're pretty unique. As a few others have stated, this wasn't Nils and Mikael, it was their original lineup with Jake E and Andreas. Also this song, while good, isn't the greatest representation of their normal sound. Oh well, just gives you a reason to check out their newest video "Damnation Flame" with their current lineup of Nils, Mikeal, and Elize. Or if you just want to see something with Nils (and you should, he's a really good rock/metal vocalist) and their 2nd harsh vocalist GG6, I'd suggest "365" or "Archangel" as two songs I think you'd enjoy.
Downloading more Amaranthe. I’ve only got Fury. Rachel also needs to check out Within Temptation.
I miss this lineup.
"Veneficium - Lacuna Coil" we neeeeeed this React!!!
It's like
celine dion style
in the begening
nice react!!!
I love amaranthe, I suggest you listen to the songs too Helix, Countdown, 365, The Nexus, 82nd All The Way (Sabaton Cover)
enjoy the ride!!!
I love the song the nexus by amaranthe.
Would love to see you react to the band AVATAR and their song Napalm (Live from Ages). They are from Gothenburg, Sweden. They just hit No. 1 on the Billboard Rock Airplay, and got a fossil named after them!
Nice reaction)
Also a little recommendation. Don't use for reactions (if it would be more Amaranthe) live concerts from them. Only official audio\video. Their live's usually boring af
You should check out golden age Therion with 4! singers.
1st of all. I love your Reaction video's, I Really do. but honestly i feel like you are Missing out on the Vibe when u Pause Mid Song. but that could be me ;) Keep going strong Ray ! x
Song request: Oktaf Kanis - Come On, thanks Rachel 🖤
❣❣
Please react to Come On by Oktaf Kanis 👍🏻
Awesome song and reaction. If you want the heavier side of Amaranthe react to "GG6", "Boom!1" or "365" ❤🤙
You should react to Idol by Yoasobi, not your usual metal reactions but the song is extreme from a music production perspective. They change a lot between the different sections of the song and I’d love to see how you would react to it
1:26 Amaranthe actually isn't heavy metal whatsoever. It's a combination of melodic death metal, power metal & metalcore. People often get the entire metal genre and the heavy metal subgenre mixed up though. Ironically, heavy metal is the softest subgenre there is.
You look a bit like Elize. And she's one of my fav female singer.
Did you take the band up on the offer to come to the show?
✌❤🎶🎶❤✌
Please react to ALL of Amaranthe's other songs
