Hope you enjoy this video! Last weeks video I said I would mention the diaper pail I love and I forgot to add it in this video 🤦♀ HERE is the link to the diaper pail I love: amzn.to/2ZVIEaE
Also this is why I love the diaper pail: It is all metal. Not cheap plastic like the diaper genie. You don’t have to use expensive special bags. You can use your regular trash bags which in the long run will save you soooooo much money! It’s really those two things (and looks sleeker in your home) I’ve had mine well over 2 years now and it still works just as well as it did day 1. I have 0 concerns with it cheaping out and breaking on me. I’m actually pretty sure once my kids are out of diapers I will be able to sell it for around $20-$25! 😁
I LOVE that this wasn’t titled baby essentials. For me, baby essentials mean just that: clothing, food, a place to sleep and NOT loungers, white noise machines, bouncers and tech. These things are luxuries or “holy grails”, love the honesty of the title.
I legit don’t like any of these TH-camrs and they baby videos... until now! You are a pretty cool person you aren’t annoying and you are money conscious. So thank you for your videos I appreciate your opinion.
Hi I just found out that I’m pregnant today.. I’m 18 and I haven’t been able to get a steady job since COVID began. I really appreciate your videos! Thank you for making things a little bit clearer for first time low budget moms :)
Her stuff is not low budget though. Just make a trip to Walmart. You'll get everything you need right there at great prices. The only things you should be spending a bunch on is cloth diapers. Get like 25 washable ones with reusable inserts. You will save a boat load of money and it's better for the environment. To state, I'm a single mother with a deadbeat sperm donor. I did everything by myself. I got my now 11 year old daughter a bassinet/pack in play, a two in one carseat/stroller, bottles, toys, and nuks all from there. I even found a decent radio baby monitor. Kids do not need a lot the first few years of their life. Especially with clothes. Those cute newborn outfits will only last a couple of months at the most. Getting clothes that are bigger is perfect since it gives them a chance to grow into it and it makes the clothes last longer so you aren't forced to buy entire new wardrobes every three to six months.
The owlet sock gifted me with some solid sleep lol. I love it. I found mine used for $150. I didn’t sleep for the first 6 weeks until I got it I always got up every 20 mins to make sure she’s breathing. Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY 😂 also helped me decide wether to take her to the hopsital with RSV. Her O2 only dropped to 94 but she had other symptoms. Took her to the hospital 3 times and they didn’t listen to me. The 3rd time they finally listened and within 3 hours of being there her O2 was dropping into the 70’s (extremely dangerous and can damage organs if it’s that low for too long) and I got rushed to a bigger hospital with a pediatric ICU and she was almost intubated. Minutes from being tubed and sedated but I prayed as they were bringing all the supplies in and she did a complete 180. Scariest thing of my life. Moms. TRUST. YOUR. MOM. INSTINCTS. I didn’t even listen to the doctors who told me she was fine. I have NEVER DOUBTED MY INSTINCTS AGAIN!!!!
I watched all of your videos prior to having my baby in December it totally helped me create my registries, get registry freebies, etc. thank you!! I relied on you to get all the best baby products and love your humor!
Currently watching this with my 3 month old ❤️ not sure why but every time I watch your videos with her she gets so excited and babbles at the screen ❤️
we had the diaper genie with our boys and HATED it. When we were expecting for our girl, my husband came across the same diaper pail and holy crap, what a difference. So worth it!
@@nomoralsnolife it doesn't have to clean corners in order to be extremely helpful. You're still going to vacuum normally from time to time, but not as often as you would have to if there wasn't a robot to assist you.
That sounds amazing...because of my physical disability I cannot handle the vacuum/ vacuuming is too tough for my body. I will look into a robot vacuum one instead of letting my husband do it
The robot vacuums are actually not good at all, I had one for 2 years and thought it was great because “I didn’t have to vacuum” but oh boy, when I switched to a dyson $500, do I wish I had spent this money sooner. The amount dyson (this is not a commercial btw haha) vacuumed AFTER I had used the irobot was a ton! The air quality improved and dirt particles I used to see in the air when the sun shines through we’re gone. My sinuses clear, no allergies. I WISH I had bought a Dyson sooner. Yes it sucks you have to vacuum yourself but you can dedicate 10-15 min per week and know that your baby is breathing fresh clean air as opposed to using iRobot which by feel and seeing, vacuums only 20% of what it should.
We actually Decided to go with two really basic pack and plays (1 for the room And 1 for travel) rather than one with attachments that will be outgrown within a few months and then a separate basinet for our room, since he’ll be sleeping the first few months in our room. Basinets are pricey and it would only last a few months and then we’d have to stick it into storage. I contemplated getting 1 pack and play with a basinet and a change table even after deciding against a basinet, but again. Basinet on the pack and play won’t last long, we already have a change table and we can change the baby right in the pack and play when it’s on the higher setting. And change him on top of a change pad anywhere really.
I'd say go for an Angelcare.. it goes Under the Diaper mattress, or wherever baby sleeps and only detects if Non movement after 20 seconds, they have a few different options that also work with Audio and video as well .. it was a Lifesaver when I needed one many years ago, they have added many new features to the new ones!! I watched reviews for the Owlet (As I'm expecting my 1st grandson in September and the parents want the Owlet, I think I will be talking them into the Angel Care afterall🤷♀️)) and they arent as Expensive. Plus it can grow with your child to any bed as you can adjust the LEVEL of sensitivity.. as where the Owlet only grows so far and can be removed by older babies.. the Angel care cannot be.. that's another major plus in MY opinion... Newer models detect heartbeat, etc plus have video monitors as well with night vision, 2 way audio plus the usual features... and much cheaper to begin with!!
Yaaassss on the Owlette sock! I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with baby number 4 and with all 3 of my other kiddos I suffered post partum anxiety. I showed my hubby this product and I really thought it was going to be an uphill battle to justify the price. However, as fate would have it there was another couple there who owned the product and the man started to talk to my hubby about it, and he was sold! So yayayayay totally looking forward to this (we also got the camera kit set up with ours). For my peace of mind, and the safety of our baby, it's TOTALLY worth the money spent!
Yesss!!! So glad the universe worked in your favor and had someone mention it to your hubby! it seriously provides SOOO much peace of mind :) Congrats on baby number 4!!! I always wanted 4 kids!
One thing that I like to do for babies toddlers is shop at Once Upon a Child or other mothers of the Just Between Friends sale because you know you're getting good quality items that have already been checked for recalls rips tears dirt
Wearable blankets are heaven sent items hahaha my daughter HATED to be swaddled as well... From day one she hated it and the hospital would tell me she loved it as she was crying, I would loosen the blanket and BAM she would stretch her arms up and was happy again. lol Anyways the wearable blankets were insane amazing till she got too big for them lol
The owlet is in my mind right now. I had post partum depression and I deprived myself from sleeping for 2 months I used to sleep only 4 hours a day and not at once. Once my baby was sleeping in the middle of the day and I just sat to look at her. My grandmother got upset and told me I'd become crazy, then I saw my baby having milk out of her nose without making any sound. I lift her and tried to wake her up but she didnt then I screamed and my mum and aunt came to the house (the were in the next house) we tried to wake her up and then she made a sound like she wasn't breathing. It was HARD to watch, my aunt sucked up the milk from her nose and she breathed. I am now thinking for this baby to have that little monitor on her foot for a more enjoyable postpartum and maternity in general. It's pretty expensive but three months left for delivery. I'll surely think more about it
I am pregnant with number 4 and never used the grass drier, the nose frida, or the owlet, or super yard. Not necessary. Love the pack n play, wearable blankets, robot vacuum and sleepers.
We did the same thing with the pack-n-play! We do have a crib in our daughter's room for when she's a little older, but she's 9 months old and has been in her pack-n-play bassinet in our room overnight!
Moreno Moms you know how much longer or weight limit until they stop using the bassinet? Idk if I want to purchase one. With my son I just used his crib but this time around i want something more practical
Jocelyn C. I’m not sure off the top of my head. With our daughter, we just used the pack-n-play (which we needed for travel) bassinet insert, and we quit using it as soon as she could push herself up to a crawling position, but I’m not sure if that’s the official recommendation.
I think the thing on the nose frida that keeps the snot from getting into your mouth is not called a filter. Everyone calls it that, but I believe is should be called a one-way valve.
My postpartum anxiety was terrible. I honestly wouldn’t leave my house at all because I felt like something terrible was going to happen to me and baby. My husband would force me to go out of house. Every time baby would wake up I would go double check if the house door was locked.
You dont need lots of bottles if you wash the bottle immediately after each use. It's just clutter. Extra 2 bottles as a back up is fine for traveling. Same for sippy cups, clean them after each use and one is all you need and a back up incase one breaks. The pack and play is the best for this Nana. When the baby is here I break it out.
The baby heart monitor is something I want but I found some less expensive alternatives with the same functions on Amazon, just let Amazon show and compare the other ones and check one based on your budget 😊
I have the owlet and it's given me so much peace of mind. I panicked every night worried that I would wake up and find that SIDS has taken my baby. It was torture mentally and emotionally. Once I got the sock, I felt much better especially that my husband could be at work and check in on baby whenever he wanted through the app. Now that baby is starting to roll over, we're gonna get the camera that goes with it
I couldnt agree more about the vacuum! It is my most recommended item for a bigger baby shower gift - it does light cleaning, but also is fun for my little crawler to chase, and signifies nap time to help her sleep
An alternative to the owlet can be the Sense-U which does have a camera and tracks their oxygen and movement. It's still a little pricey but could help if you have anxiety and is cheaper than the Owlet.
Great video! But one thing I’d like to add about the pack n play is something that I wish someone had warned ME about: a lot of those pack n plays are like 6 inches to the ground, and if you are even are even average height it will DESTROY your back. So be prepared to possibly transfer to a crib after they are too big for the bassinet. I’d still recommend it for the first several months though. :) Good luck mommas!!
I found one of which the side can be put down halfway. It functions as a cosleeper plus is good for people with back problems when it is on the lower setting. System looks very safe too. Going to get that one for my baby :) (I'm in Europe so not sure if available in USA)
Keep the receipt for the owlet. We had so many false alarms it gave me more anxiety and we ended up returning it. The small size of our baby and our altitude contributed to the false alarms
😢 sorry to hear it made your anxiety worse. I know other brands have come out with things like this. Hopefully in time they are more accurate for any size baby.
Completely agree! Zippered onesies are the way to go! And my heated diaper wipe is now just a glorified holder and I use the genie diaper bags for my kittie locker lol
Omg I’m going to try the wearable blankets this time around. My son HATED being swaddled, no matter how I did it. Even now him being 5 I’ll cover him and he always kicks the blanket off 😂 my baby girl is due August so hopefully these work out
I’m having twins this winter, may I ask wich kind of Swaddles and Sleep Sacks and how many did you buy? The warmest ones? Which size did you put them in the first months? 😊 thanks and love your videos 🫶🏻
Personally we hated the owlet. I thought being a first time mom I would really need it. So we tried putting it on, and every 30 min or so it would go off saying that reading wasn’t good. It would make my heart drop each time! The sock was on correctly, so it didn’t make sense what the issue was, and it just wasnt worth it dealing with the false alarms, it just caused more anxiety! Not to mention they also don’t prevent SIDS, it says so on their site, so what is the point then? That was the main reason I wanted it
@@michellethomas6557 I think it really has a potential of causing more issues than good. Most pediatricians aren't fans of them, because people don't really know how to interpret the data and freak out. If the oxygen ever desats a bit into 80's they may freak out and try to take baby into ER when it's actually normal for little babies to drop in oxygen saturation when they sleep, it goes back up. So I'm not too sure that this thing is a good idea. I'll be selling mine.
Pregnant with my second baby and I tell my husband I want to try this out with our baby girl and he refuses. He says he’ll be to grossed out to do that 😂🤷🏻♀️ with my son I used the one the give you at the hospital and it was a bit of a struggle but we managed
I like the play yard idea. But not sure how well it’d be on tile floor ? I’m due for my 3rd in September and my son (7) loves to play in the living area instead of his room lol big shocker! But like you said his toys aren’t baby friendly. I feel like with the tile it’d slide everywhere. And yes baby bouncer is AHHHHmazing!!!!! I had one with both my kids and have one ready for this one. My husband got me the robovac for Christmas. 3000 sqft home ALL TILE!!!!!!!
I really loved the owlet sleep sock when I would babysit my niece in the evenings after her bedtime. Sure made it easier on me and Mom+Dad got some date nights with a free babysitter. :-)
I'm a newborn night nanny and I am totally on the same page with you about the zippered onesies! SO great! LOVE your baby's smiles in this vid - so cute!
Love your videos!! Very useful :) For the wearable blanket, you said it was used up until 18 months. From birth did you start with size small or go straight to size large. When clicked on the link provided it was a size large. How much did they weigh?
I’ve had anxiety my whole life mostly. Having a baby I was and still am terrified of something happening to her but I still can’t afford a owlet sock 😂😭
@@mayafriedmann4360 from what i've read owlet is the only one that performs half way decently when compared to hospital monitors. Still not planning on getting one though
I had a super yard for my son, who is now 35. We put up the Christmas tree inside the play yard so he didn't try to eat ornaments. And it kept the puppy out of the ornaments.
I’m a first time mom and EVERYONE would tell me not to try buying a crib and thank goodness I didn’t because my baby is a very active sleeper. However I’ve been trying to find a mat for the pack in play for it to be a little more comfortable but can’t find any! Any ideas where I could?
We couldn’t find one either. I finally went to a foam maker and had one made. I’m so glad we did. It’s better quality than the ones you’ll find for cribs and it was actually cheaper.
Do I need a mattress for the pack n play? Someone told me to ditch a bassinet and use a pack n play until they are ready for the crib, but I didn't know about mattresses for it. I'm 27 weeks pregnant and am a FTM.
The pack and play comes with a mattress. I am also a first time mom and that's what I am seeing. I particularly dont plan on getting a crib. They'll use the pack and play until we get them a bed. I do want the bassinet that's closed to your bed.
Any recommendations on which mattress to get for the pack n play to make it more comfy? My LO is currently 5 months and only like 14lbs so he's fine on the hard bottom for now, but I'd like to upgrade him to something more comfy soon.
I never heard bad things. I only know my experience which was great! I will say there was one time the alarm went off and gave me a heart attack and it turned out I didn’t attach it right and it came off baby’s foot. But I figured at least I knew it worked lol
Caitlyn Beeler this is incorrect. The aap simply says they aren’t proven to reduce the risk of SIDS. Another study indicated that the concern may be that parents are more lax with the safe sleep standards issued by AAP because they’re using the monitor. If you’re still adhering to AAP standards and inform your pediatrician that you’re using the monitor so you can agree on what to do if any alarms do go off then they are not “unsafe”.
Maria Hunter Since the Owlet has been recommended, I will post the evidence on the main post as well. Credit to: Safe Infant Sleep - Evidence-Based Support Group FAQ: Home Consumer-Grade Cardiorespiratory Monitors For those with questions about home consumer-grade cardiorespiratory monitors like the Owlet, Snuza, etc., here is the evidence: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends against using these high-tech baby monitors in healthy infants, said Dr. Rachel Moon, who chairs the academy's Task Force on SIDS. The AAP's main concern is that there's no evidence the devices even work, said Dr. Moon, head of pediatrics for the University of Virginia School of Medicine. By not claiming that the monitors prevent sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), the manufacturers can avoid FDA medical device regulation. "These companies...have gone straight to market," Bonafide said. "And so the public actually doesn't know anything about the accuracy of the devices or safety of these devices." jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/2598780 - Create a free account and you can read it. www.upi.com/Health_News/2017/01/24/Pediatricians-say-no-to-wearable-smartphone-baby-monitors/4181485293107/ The owlet and other home cardiorespiratory monitors are non-evidenced based marketing hype aimed at anxious parents. There are no available standards and they are not independently tested. Their self-reported testing cannot be independently verified, and so it isn't real science. There is no evidence that they monitor what they claim to monitor. At this time they are not evidenced based. People state that they offer them peace of mind so what's the harm? Unfortunately, parents in this group have reported allowing their babies to sleep in Rock n Plays and with bumpers on their crib because they use an Owlet and rely on it to alert them to a potential problem. If parents in this group, who supposedly know more about safe sleep than the average parent, do this then you can imagine how many other parents, uninformed of the dangers of unsafe sleep, allow unsafe sleep and rely on the Owlet. That is a real danger. Further, there is absolutely no reason for a healthy infant to be monitored. If your child requires cardiorespiratory monitoring, your care provider will provide you with a medical-grade, FDA-regulated, tested device. Putting your baby to sleep in a safe space is the #1 step you can take to reduce the risk of SIDS. If you are feeling the need to check your baby every 5 minutes an Owlet is not the solution. Anxiety in parenthood is normal but if your anxiety is severe enough that it “interferes with your daily life” and doesn’t allow you to enjoy parenting, that is the definition of requiring medical intervention. You can check with your OB/GYN or a general practitioner about your level of concern. Try to take some notes about things anxiety has kept you from doing or how often you actually check baby’s breathing so your doctor will have some idea of the seriousness of your anxiety. Remember, this is an evidenced-based group and the evidence available now just doesn't support home cardiorespiratory monitors for healthy infants. 13. Do not use home cardiorespiratory monitors as a strategy to reduce the risk of SIDS. The use of cardiorespiratory monitors has not been documented to decrease the incidence of SIDS. These devices are sometimes prescribed for use at home to detect apnea or bradycardia and, when pulse oximetry is used, decreases in oxyhemoglobin saturation for infants at risk of these conditions. In addition, routine in-hospital cardiorespiratory monitoring before discharge from the hospital has not been shown to detect infants at risk of SIDS. There are no data that other commercial devices that are designed to monitor infant vital signs reduce the risk of SIDS. Do not use these devices as an excuse for an unsafe sleep environment. pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/early/2016/10/20/peds.2016-2938#ref-25
Thank you so much for your tips on what are your must haves and what items are unnecessary! We’re expecting our first baby in the spring and registries are overwhelming. Also maybe you should do a mom makeup and hair tutorial sometime cause yours are on point (and I know I’m likely going to look like a sleep deprived gremlin when the baby is here. 😂).
Just came across your page. I have twin boys that are 18 months and I’m also newly pregnant :) so we sound like the exact same family 🤣I’m definitely worried about how I will handle 3 under 3 so I’ll probably watching more of your videos to see how you survived!
I had 5 kids within 6 years in the 90's without social media, a car and most of the items out nowadays. Maybe the amount of choice new parents have now and watching other parents seemingly to have perfect lives stresses parents out nowadays. You will do just great and remember all they need is fed, changed and love.
Angela Scott that’s very kind of you! I unfortunately lost that baby, and another one after her. So I won’t have a new baby after all. Just my twins that are about to turn 2. They’re so cute and make everything worth it. You sound like Wonder Woman!!🖤🖤
You seem so sweet found with the useless bzbt itemz been working through many.. im a 3rd time mom with 6 week old. And relearning new tip and tricks and youve showed me a few more. :) Much love CapeBreton Canada
Chelsea R I’m planning on having a kid this year and I have diagnosed anxiety and I really really want something like this but I don’t have the $300 to spend I’m praying someone will help me find a cheaper alternative
Why did we leave the original frida? Is it a hazard nowadays? Seems as if it works a lot faster than trying to place a tube on the child nose and suck vs quick squeeze. 🤷🏾♂️
I had a robo vacuum and it kept getting stuck and not knowing when to turn :( I would also be scared to suck the snot out of my babies nose. I’d be afraid I’d suck it too hard
I’m new to your channel and have watched two of your videos so far (this one included) and I love them! They are so helpful, detailed, and straight to the point. Thank you for making these! I’m a first time mom to be October 2020 so I’m clueless! Lol
New subscriber! Very informative video! Would you say the pack & play bassinet is good for new borns? I checked the Graco one at Target and the base of the bassinet wasn't firm.
I think working with the elderly, 2 year olds and horses I’m immune to nasty. You think you kids snot is gross? I did that same thing with a horse and it was snot and ground up grass and hay in my mouth. I think I’m going to be ready for kids when that day comes.
Everyone raves about the city select stroller but I have tried out my sisters and I hate where the hand brake is I feel like that’s where I want to hold the stroller and it’s in the way as well the way the harness does up is difficult when you are trying to put a toddler in who is resisting in the seat. Other then this it seems great but if I have to push around 60-80 lbs I need to have my hands in a comfortable position cause I like to walk a lot.
Hey so, basically w/ a pack and play, when the baby grows into a toddler, I can still use it? I saw it on target and I really loved it and it’s not crazy expensive so I wanted it. But I was doubtful about it because I want to get something that will last for years..🌸 thank you btw, I love your reviews! Your Walmart review on baby food was helpful because now I know that it’s better to get food from target. I’m binging your videos even tho I’m due July 30th.. I’m just SOOO excited😩🥺👶🏽
CutiesbyKelly they aren’t regulated, they have defects, not completely accurate, can burn baby, etc. not to mention the fact that nothing should be in crib but baby with a fitted sheet, and a plain pacifier (no clip).
Please note: pack-n-plays are NOT SAFE for infant sleep if used with an additional mattress. There have been cases of infants suffocating after becoming wedged between the extra mattress & the walls of the pack-n-play. Pack-n-plays are only safe for infant sleep when used with the included mattress, and older models of pack-n-play may not meet the safety guidelines for infant sleep. Please do your research before using a pack-n-play for your baby's bassinet/crib. They can be a great space-saving/budget option, but using them incorrectly can be a suffocation hazard.
My little one is six weeks old and I have none of these apart from the zipper jammies but great video nonetheless! Might replace our bassinet with a pack and play next time around, seems like a great idea :)
I had three different kinds of carriers and used them all at different times. They really came in handy for being able to tend to baby while keeping your hands free in and outside of the house.
My first daughter loved it since 8mo but my second had 3 different ones but has hated all of them because she doesn't like being squished and sweats a lot.
I had one with my son and I would use it occasionally not very often it’s practically new. I have heard a lot of parents say they used it around the house when doing chores around the house. I would just have his swing set or his bouncer and that would help a lot. Pregnant with my second baby and thinking maybe it’ll come more in handy since my son is 5 and I usually walk him to school so maybe this can come in handy when I just want to take her for a walk without taking my entire stroller
I found it was only useful for me because my second was colic. Otherwise, my other child I had no issues letting her do her thing by herself I didn’t need to carry her like my colicky son.
My daughter hated being in pushchair, she always wanted to be in my hands, so i found the carrier very helpful when i had to travel or go for a shopping, but out of 3 different ones i had, she liked only the one where she could sit face outwards, aos she could look around but still be close to me (but yoy cam use it only from when they can sit up)
Just in case you aren't already MAKE SURE YOU READ THE ONE STAR REVIEWS!!!! I'm so disappointed because everything I've put on my baby registry I've had to take off because the bad reviews point out flaws that just don't make it worth it at all. I don't want my loved ones into waste money on products that don't live up to the 5 star reviews.
QUESTION: Do you need a dishwasher to properly clean the Boon drying rack? I live overseas and dishwashers are not common... Can I hand wash it, or will it not get clean enough?

How?? When it doesn't clean corners? 🤔
The owlet would give me anxiety ! My daughter just got out of the NICU I don’t want to see any more monitors or hear beeping !
I’m only 12 weeks rn idk why I’m here but it’s our first baby and I’m excited!!

I think the thing on the nose frida that keeps the snot from getting into your mouth is not called a filter. Everyone calls it that, but I believe is should be called a one-way valve.
I disagree with a few items - That drying rack is a dust magnet (we live near the desert) and the owlet is anxiety inducing.

I would consider the rack if it had a cover.
My postpartum anxiety was terrible. I honestly wouldn’t leave my house at all because I felt like something terrible was going to happen to me and baby. My husband would force me to go out of house. Every time baby would wake up I would go double check if the house door was locked.
It’s crazy how your hormones kick it on after baby! Hope it didn’t last too long for you.
My favorite stroller is the Bob. We're active country people and that thing literally works on every terrain.
my wife uses the "Macie Moo" brand nursing cover from Amazon and says its the best thing she has bought for our baby!
Excited soon to be a mom of 3. First pregnancy was twin boy and girl and I am currently pregnant with a boy. Love your channel.
God yes im just over 5ft and used it for 2 years when visting family and idk which is worsr the fing crib (not drop rail) or the fing play pen
I found one of which the side can be put down halfway. It functions as a cosleeper plus is good for people with back problems when it is on the lower setting. System looks very safe too. Going to get that one for my baby :) (I'm in Europe so not sure if available in USA)
I’m 4 weeks pregnant new to the mommy world so I’m really trying to get all the knowledge I can! Thank you! New subscriber!
Yes. I just didnt use it after 3 false alarm in the same day. I was sleep deprived and that just scared me for no reason. Not worth it for me.
Completely agree! Zippered onesies are the way to go! And my heated diaper wipe is now just a glorified holder and I use the genie diaper bags for my kittie locker lol
My go to for my twins are the two way zip onesies.
Omg I’m going to try the wearable blankets this time around. My son HATED being swaddled, no matter how I did it. Even now him being 5 I’ll cover him and he always kicks the blanket off 😂 my baby girl is due August so hopefully these work out
Owlet sock.. yes! I got mine on a black friday sale before my son was born and it ended up saving my son's life.
Wow! Thank goodness you had it!!!! 💕
That was the main reason I wanted it
It could prevent SIDS but they legally cant claim it does. I see what you're saying though.
I have hesitated buying that frida baby nose frida because I’m so grossed out but I’m tempted to buy it in case I need it.
Daisel Lawton Do it! It’s a great product.
I found it to be usles and found the battery operated ones better
Pregnant with my second baby and I tell my husband I want to try this out with our baby girl and he refuses. He says he’ll be to grossed out to do that 😂🤷🏻♀️ with my son I used the one the give you at the hospital and it was a bit of a struggle but we managed
My daughter is 4 and I still use it. Never tried a battery operated one but the nose frieda beats out those bulb syringe things 100%.
I got the graco electric one. LifeSAVER! AND It played music lol my son loved that
I like the play yard idea.
Don’t forget to add on your list a good monitor! I love the Miku pro! 🥰
I really loved the owlet sleep sock when I would babysit my niece in the evenings after her bedtime. Sure made it easier on me and Mom+Dad got some date nights with a free babysitter. :-)
I keep watching these videos, I’m glad I watched yours because you have different items that I didn’t even think about
I just bought a used super yard off of the Facebook market place recently and it’s amazing for when I’m busy! Definitely a must have
I'm a newborn night nanny and I am totally on the same page with you about the zippered onesies! SO great! LOVE your baby's smiles in this vid - so cute!
Ha! You had me at 'mini straitjacket' - Love this! You're awesome. Just subscribed.
Love your videos!! Very useful :) For the wearable blanket, you said it was used up until 18 months. From birth did you start with size small or go straight to size large. When clicked on the link provided it was a size large. How much did they weigh?
Thank you for these helpful tips!! Your skin looks amazing, btw.
I think the owlet sock is a must and Facebook market is always a cheaper route
34 weeks pregnant and I don’t have a single item from this list. So I guess what a person believes are holy gray products is super subjective!
I bought the jeep stroller. Nothing moves softer than that stroller
Is this owlet sock even safe? bluetooth on baby for hours?
I’ve had anxiety my whole life mostly. Having a baby I was and still am terrified of something happening to her but I still can’t afford a owlet sock 😂😭
Check FB marketplace
@@mayafriedmann4360 from what i've read owlet is the only one that performs half way decently when compared to hospital monitors. Still not planning on getting one though
I love your channel! No nonsense, straight to the point with humor. Thank you for your tips!!
I know amazon has playard mattresses. With social distancing and all it’s pry the best place to get anything right now 😊
We couldn’t find one either.
Minnie straight jacket lol love it.
I swear by the wearable blanket!!! Love them.
Any recommendations on which mattress to get for the pack n play to make it more comfy? My LO is currently 5 months and only like 14lbs so he's fine on the hard bottom for now, but I'd like to upgrade him to something more comfy soon.
The thing is if something happens and baby doesn’t breath there is nothing you can do.. knowing or not knowing.
I totally use my drying rack for wine glasses now too 😆
I am on the fence with those socks. There have been so many bad things about them but there are also good reviews
I never heard bad things. I only know my experience which was great! I will say there was one time the alarm went off and gave me a heart attack and it turned out I didn’t attach it right and it came off baby’s foot. But I figured at least I knew it worked lol
the aap says not to use these. they aren’t safe.
Credit to: Safe Infant Sleep - Evidence-Based Support Group
FAQ: Home Consumer-Grade Cardiorespiratory Monitors
For those with questions about home consumer-grade cardiorespiratory monitors like the Owlet, Snuza, etc., here is the evidence:
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends against using these high-tech baby monitors in healthy infants, said Dr. "And so the public actually doesn't know anything about the accuracy of the devices or safety of these devices."

www.upi.com/Health_News/2017/01/24/Pediatricians-say-no-to-wearable-smartphone-baby-monitors/4181485293107/
The owlet and other home cardiorespiratory monitors are non-evidenced based marketing hype aimed at anxious parents.

Why did we leave the original frida? Is it a hazard nowadays? Seems as if it works a lot faster than trying to place a tube on the child nose and suck vs quick squeeze. 🤷🏾♂️

Are the wearable blankets safe to use if your baby is rolling? Does it prevent baby from rolling on their belly while sleeping?
The wearable blankets won’t prevent cause or do anything for rolling. They are just a way to keep baby warm and they are sleep safe ☺️
There is nothing wrong with there fenced in play area, it beats a playpen. Lol
I love your personality omg
Thank you! 😁
If I’m not wrong most pack and plays allow you to use them until they’re like 6
@@pandasnailjourney312 ok, thank you!
owlet monitor or any home monitor is not safe and is recommended to not use according to the AAP! just fyi. 😊
@caitlyn do you know why?
Did you use a baby carrier!? I’ve heard so many moms say it changed their life and noticed it’s not in this video! Wanted your opinion☺️
