This was delicious. Good on you Annette for tellin it like it is about the corn! Im so tired of reading comments on cooking videos complaining about it not being authentic. We should all cook the way our families like it. God bless!
Thanks hun! Yes, they make me sick when they comment saying you shouldn’t add this/that to a recipe. Your dish should be catered to whoever is eating it!
I'm from the North Haiti (Cap-Haitien).growing up i always see my mom adding corn 🌽 in the bouillon and we love it.So corn it is well done. Great and healthy food 😋
I’m not a fan of Bouyon because it’s mainly made with beef but the fact that you make a different version with CHICKEN and corn NOW I’m eager to give this a try. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
This video came at the perfect time! I am taking care of someone who is sick, and I never learned how to make bouyon :/ it'll be my first time tomorrow! Wish me luck
Thank you for teaching us how to make this chicken soup ! I am Italian and LOVE to learn and cook new meals for my family. As my husband is sick with Covid right now I am almost done making this soup.
Hi Annette, a side question for you: are tomato paste and paprika legit in classic Haitian bouyon? Just asking, since I am not Haitian (but I saw Haitians adding the tomato paste and paprika in their Bouyon) . Love your great recipes and have learned a lot from them (I love cooking Haitian food. It is simple and yet always full of flavours).
Yes, growing up we made it with or without tomato paste. Paprika was not used in my home but nowadays a lot of Haitians use it because it doesn’t change the flavor of the food. It give it a nice color! Thanks for watching my videos! 🥰
Thank you for your recipe, my mom only uses beef, but my hubby doesn't eat beef so chicken it is, my dumplings always r sticky so I'm gonna follow how u made yours, basically I have to stop rushing when I'm cooking 😂🤦🏾♀️..Oh I know that corn and crab legs are hitting too 😋
Your welcome, growing up we used beef, goat head, Turkey necks and chicken. I f you dumplings are sticky just add a little flour to it, that will help.
This is exactly what I need right now during this nippy season in South Florida! I can’t wait to try this with the corn my favorite vegetable! Looks delicious! (Btw! I’m laughing at your “do not comment about the corn”!!! 🤣🤣🤣)! Thanks for another outstanding recipe!
It is very refreshing to come across a beautiful and well spoken Haitian woman on the internet these days. Thank you for the recipe!
Your so welcome and thank you for the compliment.

You’re so welcome ! You can also make it with turkey or make it without any meat, following the same steps and add in the seasonings to the liquid.
