I’m really confused people are getting mid 6’s 0-60 on stock 2.7’s w/sas with no tune including private owners and professional publications. Something is not right at all here.
Man the 2.7 boogies with that tuner! I figured it would. Gotta see what it does with 35s since Buttercup #1 was on 35s when you did the test if I recall. Makes me wish I had gotten a 2.7 a little bit. But I’m really happy with my 2.3 with my Ford Performance Tune, Turbosmart blowoff valve, and K&N air intake!
I just got a Ford performance calibrator for my 2.7 Bronco! What a difference in throttle response and power! Haven’t done any testing but she sure does boogy!
Yes thank you so much, your video's are awesome and full of information. I have a 2022 Wild Track with the 2.7 & I want to do those mods but I can't figure out witch Cold air intake to use
IMO you are getting all excited about the relatively small performance gain from the Ford Performance tuner but not also adding an additional tuner like the JB4 that makes a real difference. I am running both the JB4 and Ford, have a new catback exhaust, and air intake. By far the thing that makes the largest performance gain is the JB4. Noticeably more than all the others combined.
Also you need to launch in 2nd gear with 4WD auto. Brake boost up to about 4psi. You should get in the 6s. Also you might need some time for your knock adjust to get used to the 93octane. If you load it up on your gauges from the tuner you want as close to -1 as possible. If it’s above zero you can reset it with the diagnostics function.
Nice runs :) I have never done it on my 2.7 BL, no draggy, but I have exhaust, Ford tune, and a Injen CAI. Sure it puts down decent numbers, even on 37's
The Ford Bronco is cool, but you just made a strong case to buy a Jeep Rubicon 392 while their still available. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds on 35s, no contest.
That’s cool but that’s a little too fast for this type of car. Personal I’d want my 0-60 around 5.5-7.5 in an off-roader truck. Any faster than that would only be comfortable in a MB G-Class. I really wish Mopar would have done a 5.7 rubicon. That’s the sweet spot.
Yeah although It costs a bit more, premium unleaded is the ticket. With the two-door Bronco, performance increases by just over a full second. But I don't really care, I had a couple Taurus SHO's in my recent past and with those toys came my fair share of speeding tickets smh. I prefer the versatility, function & looks of the four door big time over the two-door. Anyhoo, I noticed in my 2020 Silverado 6.2l I see a lot fewer tail lights than if I go with something like mid-grade. But the funny thing is my dash read out that shows miles to empty- My average (miles to empty) goes up a bit when I use premium. A nice perk 😁. But she's a lease I'm turning in soon.... Going to be joining Bronco Nation soon... booyah!! This toy I'm keeping 🤘😎👍. I even prematurely named her "Amy" in regards to Amy Lee from Evanescence 🎸 .... I just hope that sound system (lux pkg B&O premium) in Amy is up to my high standards or else imma have to upgrade the sounds 🔊
I knew the 2DR had a small fuel tank but I really love the look of the 2DR Bronco. I am getting about 20 mpg but that's on 93 octane. Totally stock as I have only had it for 2-1/2 months.
You can have your dealer put it on and it doesn’t do anything with your warranty. On my 2.3 I did corsa intake and exhaust. And turbosmart bov. I haven’t decided if I will go with the same intake and exhaust yet, I might venture and try something different
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV ok thanks, I noticed that pipe going to the turbo on the passenger side has a rubber hose that seems to be twisted up that prevents the turbo from breathing. Have noticed anything thing like that ?
Don't the instructions also say it needs to be installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician to get or retain the 3 year/36k mile warranty from new vehicle in-service when installed ?
Very nice! Isn’t your 2.3 L numbers also at a slight disadvantage because you had 35s on the 2.3, and have 33s on 2.7? Maybe it’s off set by the air in take and exhaust on the 2.3?
You should have went with Livernois. FP used them to create their tunes. FP are just less potent. I had Livernois in my 2021 Ranger and now in my 2022 F-150 2.7. It's a huge difference!
Gears and wheels tires make a big difference if you ran your 2.3 numbers with the 35s. I just put the tune on my 2.7 and launched it for the first time tonight. Gotta make sure you strap everything down because my ball mount dented my tailgate it flew so hard.
Are you in sport mode with all the nannies off.. Brake torque launching? Intakes and exhaust do nothing. A drop in dry aem filter and aftermarket intercooler & tune are all that do anything.
For the Mustang Shelby GT500 Ford retired the 5.8 l engine in 2013-2014. It was replaced by the 5.2l. It's a Bronco off-road SUV beast not a muscle, pony or sports car. Time to come up from under that rock.

It’s a woman driving what did you expect lol
Would be awesome if you put the numbers on screen.

I did the test with 2.3 with smaller tires as well, but I am interested to see how new one does with 35s
Should do the outlaw muffler delete kit from flow master. 140$ and it adds 19ish HP

Awesome! I’m glad you’re happy with it!
Great info! Just a small tip to help me is also put the info on the screen so we can see all the numbers at once. Thanks for doing this!

Well, I’m just starting this build. Maybe I’ll drop a Godzilla in it :)

I can’t put all the fun in one video 😂
Wow, quite an improvement!
I think so too!
Just curious if the the 2.3 was in Sport mode? Your Badlands doesn't come with Sport mode, but it can be added via Forscan.
SHEESH!! Wait until the cold air intake and the exhaust come in 💯 🔥🤘🔥
Wooo

My 2DR only has a 14 gallon tank 😐. I have a 2023 Basesquatch with the 2.7.
Eek… I have 20

Sport mode makes a big difference as well. Have you unlocked it on your Badlands yet?
Does it affect the warranty?
What kind of blow off valve and cold air intake do you have on the 2.3 ?
And are you putting the same one on the 2.7 ?

Buttercup, I just purchased the procal, have you had any issues with warrenty studf since you installed yourself and not a ford dealership?
I have not
How do you like the keyless entry pad relocation? I'm thinking of doing the same but I'm still curious if there's a better location than the gas tank.
Mine got taken off for wrap :/
I didn't think about that. Let me know what you think of the location!@@BuckleUpButtercupTV
Q. Weren't you running larger tires when you recorded the 2.3 numbers?
I have done tests with smaller tires too… so many draggy hits 😂 and I’m sure many more!!
Go FORD calibration!!!!! 💨💨💨💨
😊

I have done my 2.3 test with base tires too, but at the moment I’m not sure if that’s the one I was comparing for fastest

While I agree with you, the FP keeps Factory Warranty if installed by dealer
Where did you get those letters for your grill?
My website! buckleupoffroad.com/pages/search?q=oracle%20letter
Why not just had gotten a mustang? This thing wasn’t built for speed, but overall performance
I have an s650 on order
Go go go ….. 🚙💨💨💨💨💨

I ran numbers with the 2.3 with multiple size tires. So many test that I’ve done, I can’t keep track 😂
20 gallons you must of had 0 miles to empty, I’ve put 17 in usually when Im pretty low I didn’t even think it had 20 gallon tank
It does have a 20 mile tank, I was low :)
Don't sweat the AC. The truck will switch off the AC compressor at WOT 👍🏻
i pay that for that for reg 86Bucks 1.44L for prem 1.69L for a gal its 5.10
Woah
Jim is a hoot!!!! ❤️ the #s!!
😂
I got 28.4 miles to the gallon. At 65 miles per hour. Although that was only 35 miles, I did get 26 miles per gallon at a 342 mile trip.❤
Nice
No you didn’t.
@porkchopsandwiches192 oh yes I did
@@flojuarez8955 no you didn’t. Quit while your miles behind pal. You’d be considered the highest mpg bronco in the world with that bs.

Higher the octane the better the gas mileage
⛽️
Are you going power mad??.lol
Always 😊
Your Bronco is slow. 0-60 under 6.5 and 1/4 mile in under 14.5, with AC on.
That's super slow. My 2022 F-150 2.7 with Livernois tune on 35's runs 5.1 & 13.2 qtr. E85 is in the mid 12's
The new bronco is a total letdown...What happened to the 5.8 liter??

Production line limitations.
V8 will never happen unless Ford does them off line in VERY limited quantities.
Overpriced. I'll stick to my Rubicon.
