I spent 4 months working on this show out of (mostly) Brooklyn. The sets they built were absolutely some of the best I ever saw in 13 years in the film industry. VERY interested in seeing how this show comes out.
They're confident that the visuals do the talking in the trailer. If your film looks good, you don't need to give away anything. Most films these days don't have that wow factor visually and they rely on literally telling you the whole damn plot in the trailer, I feel like it's rare these days that a trailer makes me want to see a film, but this one did it.
Woah! Retrofuturism is such a great theme to explore. Off course trailer immediately brings Fallout to mind (especialy 4 with those door to door salesmen) but I feel thta It will be great as its own story...
This gives me vibes that someone wrote a script for a Pre-War Fallout movie about a Vault-Tec salesman trying to earn as much as he can before everyone gets nuked, and then it got rewritten because they didn't get a license. Not that I mind, this looks amazing, and I can't wait to see it. Awesome setting.
I often wonder why are there so few movies and tv shows using a retrofuturistic aesthetic or theme. It's such a cool concept, and yet totally underused in this medium. So I'm in. And Hank Azaria is the cherry on top.

Honestly I love the underlying feel of creepiness this trailer has, mixed with the 60s aesthetic it kind of feels like there’s a Twilight Zone style twist to this living on the moon idea
It's 1950's aesthetic. The flying car is a 1956 or 1957 Thunderbird. The fashions are also squarely 1950's, as are the other cars and settings seen in the trailer.
Hoping the script doesn't just suck. I tried to watch "Smile," and despite the Bacon kid not being a great actress (I never forgot who she was), the script was horrible.
We have barriers to appreciating the scifi, furniture, tv, clothes, and art in general of our fathers, especially since we believe they actually destroyed everything. Then we go another generation back, and there are no such barriers. That looks fresh. 2022 furniture already looks like the 50s.

I think some people here are missing the point. YES, some ideas are borrowed, but they are placed in a movie so few times that even for borrowed ideas it feels refreshing. Tomorrowland was ideas in hiding while this is ideas that are embraced, two different concepts. Hopefully it's good.
I had Apple TV for 6 months to a year. Can’t remember but I had it for a while. When I had it, they didn’t offer much to watch that was worth watching. Naturally now that I don’t have it, they’re putting out a lot of really interesting movies and shows.

Too much money, not enough brains. Heywood Wakefield is another company that has this stuff. Very expensive and also that light wood (maple?) Is pretty fragile. If you stain it darker, it'll lose all its value.

The only hotel I can think of that replicates this era would be Cabana Bay Resort at Universal Orlando. It feels EXACTLY like the era this movie takes place in. It even has a bowling alley on the second floor.
*well, I just watched the first season, this show so far has been awesome. Highly recommended for fans of Futurama, Fallout 4, Bioshock.* story, character, especially prop design, it's at least a 8/10 from me. This commercial doesn't do the show justice. I laughed at least once, and easily binge watched it not wanting to stop.
