So fun fact! Gen 2 was not the generation that added double battles. That was Generarion 3. But funner fact, it was standardized in competitive pokemon since gen 4!
Thank GAWD someone said it… The fact he really honed in on double battles being a Gen 2 gimmick when it was Gen 3 was bothering me. Still give a 10/10 for breeding (since that’s such a huge factor for building a legal competitive team), Gen 3 is honestly the best Gen for the most long last gimmick for official competitive play.
Great video! I finally got around to watching it. It cheered me up at work (work sucks) Edit: Having finished the video, I agree with most of your points. However, I have a random hatred for Drednaw. I'm not entirely sure why, but I hate them with a passion
I'd be content with red and blue being added to the nintendo store just as they were. Pokemon has a problem with emulators yet doesn't allow us to buy the games for new consoles. I'd love to have red/blue and ruby/sapphire on switch! I'd rebuy them just for the nostalgia.
Yeah I got the double battles wrong, but gen 2 was still iconic. Megas just got overshadowed by Z moves. Yes they were carried over but weren't expanded upon.
Gen 3 is the best region. Amazing region with too much water, fantastic designs, unique Pokémon, first game to bring vibrant color, amazing legendary trio, & the most important gimmick: double battles.
@@QuoornsQuest it is just so perfect. its cute, james was so nice with it in the anime. its moveset isnt even so bad. i hope it gets an evo or something
For me, Gen 2 and 4 are tied for my favorite generational. And wouldnt you know, Gen 2 remakes were in Gen 4! But really, I grew up with Poksmon Silver with a dead save battery. But I was such a baboo, I couldnt read! Furthest I got was Whitney with a Feraligatr. In middle school, I then got Pearl. I was now able to READ! And I then chose... Well, it's obvious. In gen 2, I chose Totodilw, a water type as a kid. That's right! In gen 4, I chose TURTWIG! Love my Turtle. Anyway, I loved it. I then get Soul Silver, and grabbed my Totodilw buddy, and took him all the way to Red. TAKE THAT, WHITNEY! I love Sinnoh. I love Johto. I cant choose.

Luckily gen 2 is iconic enough that even when I'm wrong I'm right 😂

16:17 after all we have been through you really gonna slander bellsprout like that
It's a Gen 2 staple due to the Bellsprout Tower you can't change my mind
For me gen 6 has something special and I’m so happy it’s getting a new legends game
It's so special to see the gen you love get a makeover

I'm glad it could make your day better 😁 thanks for the support Mavis!
How did Gen 1 get 95 points when you didn’t have 9 out of 10s for the rankings?

Oh same! They were so much fun, especially gen 3 😁
Fairy/Steel had Klefki and Zacian-Crowned. Also Double Battles were introdcued in Gen 3 and Megas carried over from Gen 6 to Gen 7

I'm a huge Hoenn fan and very sad it didn't make it in the top four selling games. Plus double battles 😂
gen 3, because it has chimecho. case closed
🤣🤣🤣
Idk if I've ever met a Chimecho fan. I'm honored
