I remember being in 5th grade in 2004 buying this masterpiece of album along with senses fail let it enfold you and underoath they’re only chasing safety. 18 years later and I still listen to all of them.
I wish I wasn't so late to the post hardcore scene. 2004 for me was all American rejects, simple plan, good Charlotte, and hawthorne heights. It was hawthorne heights that slowly got me into this genre. Found out about senses fail in 2011ish. But already knew of taking back sunday and brand new.

Iam a teenager. And iam so sad there arent really edgy emo bands nowadays which are new. I just feel so lonely in this world. I never met someone who is like me so i keep turning to edgy music
These guys were older than most bands back then and they continued to make albums long long after. They've definitely evolved their sound, and while each album has it's unique style and vibe, they all hold true to the bands sound! Grew up listening to them and they still get frequent plays from me, they aren't the only a ones either, I've stuck with nearly every band since I first got into this music way back in the late 90s and early 2000s. These guys were one of the best and still hold true!

No band really sounded like this. Specifically, no band in the genre did clean vocals like Emery. Their voices are so smooth and I always appreciated how great they sounded in contrast to the sea of nasally, whiny vocalists. But when they needed to get heavy, goddamn did they deliver. The breakdown at the end of this song is just so legendary.

Silverstien's newest album isn't that bad though. Hawthorne height still great. I saw Hawthorne heights senses fail and Bayside live not to long ago.
This is one of my TOP 10 favorite albums of all time. I don't even listen to "screamo." But this is back to back pure gold. This still is on my regular playlist throughout 15 years.
