I just got the exact same vehicle. After 1k miles I am 100% impressed. Way more than I thought. I have had them all but this is by far my favorite so far. I have had the older Land Cruiser 200, 4Runners and sequoias. Love the power, tech and comfort so far.
There's 1 electric motor in between the engine and transmission. The premium package on the LC gives you all the first edition gadgets except rock sliders, roof rack, thicker skid plantes and mud flaps. Love my LC w/premium pkg
I love how it’s front bumper is divided into like 5 pieces. If you ever get caught in a car crash then no need to replace whole bumper. Same with rear bumper, no need to repaint vehicle if we get rear ended.
I 100% appreciate the tire rant. Toyota has been doing this for forever to its trucks. My 4runner TRD Off Road came with those same style tires. And I just dont have it in me to just go straight to the tire shop and replace them. It's such a waste of money. Just give the option to put All Terrains on anything with a ladder frame. Especially if it says Off-Road in the trim level. PS: BFG's are goated. Any argument otherwise is just for the sake of arguing.
I've actually sold the tires that came on a brand new vehicle about 4000 miles after I bought it. Couldn't stand the stock tires. It was 100% worth it for me.
Great looking car, love the colour and the round headlights. Also those mud flaps are awesome, i never thought I'd be commenting on mud flaps but here we are.
I think the LC200 will go down as a legend, especially now that early LC’s and LX’s are so cheap. That being said the LC250 is a good platform. It’s not perfect (battery placement wtf) and some people will dismiss it as a Prado, but it’s a solid rig and it looks pretty handsome.

In terms of capability? Yes, between the underbody protection, locking differentials, and disconnecting front stabilizer bar, it’s leaps and bounds ahead of a Yukon for off road work. Also the size is much better on trails.
This is a fantastic SUV but I’d rather get a Lexus GX550 Overtrail for a little more money, the new 4Runner coming out soon is also a great option for less money than the LC/GX
I have that vehicle, I’ve never had to push the ac button on just alway set at whatever temp I want and stays there, maybe something in settings? So far not much to complain about.
Not a too bad gas mileage but you need prenium gas... at the end you don't save that much money.... they should have enginnered the engin to be optimal with regular gas....
@@TheHooniverse Yes, we can buy it for 70k, a Wrangler takes 72k, 67k for a Defender. Entry level all of them, i believe that a Suzuki Jimny here takes as a 4runner in the USA. So I took a kzj 95 and I got all the fun I Need 😂😂😂
It's interesting but sad it's so confusing, wish Toyota could clear it all up - Based on the sticker on the door of this one plus the published curb weight, my numbers are correct. BUT based on actual owner findings, it appears maybe that's not the case.
Regarding payload, please don't parrot the incorrect specs from Toyota. The website and press sheets are wrong. Owners have already taken their 250 on the scales and it comes out at around 5,560 lbs. That puts payload at 1,200 lbs (or so) max.
@@ALMX5DP You see the issue, but why are you busting my balls about 75 lbs? The GVWR is what it is on the sticker and we all agree to that, but Jeff said curb weight is 5,038 lbs - which isn't true. So instead of the bulky 1,800 lbs of payload he says it has, based on Toyota's wrong figure, it actually has the 1,275 or so you agree with me on.
@@thelandcruiserproject no ball busting, just providing the calculation based on what you and Jeff said. I’m sure there will be different weights depending on spec or trim. Many different vehicle makes and models operate similarly.
@@TheHooniverseYou're right. And shame on Toyota. The official specs online still show 36" of headroom for the LC, but 42" for the moonroof-less GX. The 36" is less headroom than a bz4x.
Appreciate the video & work you put into it. 👍🏼 But the issue with the new 4 cyl turbo’d Toyotas isn’t the “fresh out of the box” performance, it’s the longevity.
Maybe on the turbo side, but the hybrid side I have zero worries - Toyota is one of the automakers with literal MILLIONS of miles on hybrid powertrains. And back to the turbo side, most automakers have figured out small turbos by now. Honestly, I think we're good there... and I hope those words don't bite me in the butt, haha.
Not a fan of the stepped rear window, looks odd. Rear wiper needs to be positioned right to close top window hatch 😏 Front window way to steep. Gonna keep my 2012 Prado 3.0 Tdiesel for the foreseeable futures. Best of the last 😉
Show more of outdoor scenery, less of you. You can talk all you want while showing outside. That way, many can finish your video without skipping it. Lol.
Horrible review. What a bunch of nonsense. The car is nice if the wheels dont fall off the way Toyota is going i bet you this car will have major issues in about 6 - 18 months.

What do you mean dismiss it as a Prado? I think in some countries this is named as such. It’s not a knock to call it a Prado either IMO.
It is never dismissed as a prado. There's nothing wrong with Prados, the rest of the world loves them.
Battery placement in the rear makes it 50/50 weight distribution. I love mine
I wish it came in a non hybrid version.
@@AA-vr8ez it does, just not in the US. We get the non hybrid 7 seat petrol and diesel versions globally but we don't get the hybrid
Great video. So funny and entertaining Definitely subscribing.
I would suspect the initial brake weirdness is probably related to regen for the hybrid system.
That’s a good point and it’s dumb I didn’t think of it
Well, I have the GX550 Overtrail, and the brakes on that are just amazing with nothing weird, so I figured that was the most likely difference.
There are no regenerative breaks on this car - the hybrid system in this model charges as part of the powertrain not the breaking system, I believe
