According to eBay customer service a customer is allowed to leave Negative feedback just for fun. They can call You a liar and a thief, even if there is no dispute at all. Then You look at their feedback "left for others" and see they leave negative for everything. There's nothing You can do.

A buyer cannot leave negative feedback if a return is opened and you offer free returns. Free returns are smart anyway since an item not as described case will get free returns anyway.
i get closing on sundays during football/winter months. But i would think opening on sundays would pay considering church and with that gas station being there now. Sunday is the busiest shopping day for groceries and most ppl gas up on sundays. Also with people buying at yard sales on fri/sat good chance flippers will come in on sunday.
Hey Pete my understanding was that if you do free returns the buyer cannot leave negative or neutral feedback once you've accepted the return. That's one of the reasons I do free returns.

The protection from negative feedback is to protect against abusive buyers, not to let sellers get away with poor customer service and bad selling practices.

Auction Professor said that the reason Ebay has been doing good till cancelled is because after I think 60 or so days it shows up in a google search, and in today's day people are shopping on other sites, not as much as ebay now so I can understand why they set it up that way so marketing wise Ebay may be drawing more people in and giving sellers more exposure? They have been giving us free listings too so I really can't really complain for now....

I have been cross posting my ebay items on local Facebook groups. Facebook has been on fire and ebay has been crickets. I will gladly take the cash and not deal with shipping, paypal, and ebay fees.

I was thinking if they came in to pay cash they could do the ebay transaction before taking the item and Pete could take a photo of them leaving the shop with the item. That would work but as a seller you want the transaction completed first to avoid no shows or mind changers.

Can you tell us stories about customers that see your videos after they buy something seeing what you initially paid for it?
Raphael Karan so what?? What is your point?? It doesn’t matter what he paid for anything. The only thing that matters is how much the buyer is willing to pay. He doesn’t point a gun at their head to buy. It’s basic supply and demand. I hope you’re really not that naive with that question.
Pete's videos are actually brilliant in this respect. Pete clearly outlines his decision making process, which when followed one can easily estimate how much money they are getting from him for their items (without unnecessary BS). First, Pete aways looks at the "Solds" - if the item is a fast mover and easy to ship - you are getting 50% of the average price that these items go for. If it is a very high value and popular item - people get over 50% from Pete. If it is a slow mover or something unwieldy - you are getting 30%-40%. Now, if there are few comps, large bulk or the item is speculative (like that tank) - you are getting scrap value/pennies on the dollar. That's the cost of risk/hassle to flip them. And this is only fair - if the dude who had the tank wanted to scrap it he would have gotten like $15 in stainless + the hassle of going to the scrap yard. And there is like no way he flips it on his own. It took Pete with all of his connections months to sell it - your average Joe never pulls this off. Do you like go from ice cream store to ice cream store saying "will you buy this nice tank I have"? That's obviously not gonna work. But at least the dude got a bike out of it - something he wanted, I guess.
If a buyer wants a partial refund that is better than a return and all the bs that goes along with it. Tell the customer to leave you positive feedback first then you’ll give the partial refund..

I see negative feedback all the time on sellers dashboards that offer free returns. I also had to leave a negative from a free returns seller recently, no problems it’s still negative on their account, never got removed. I get incorrect information from eBay reps all the time.
Yeah like some of the early comments here my sales have slowed down i did the trick that Pete suggested in a video while back for the GOOD TILL SALE helped some had more views on most items EBAY needs to address this they should have noticed by now that their profits have plummeted as well you would think

Hey I have a question, so I have been selling on eBay so far and this always gets to me is it me or eBay fees / PayPal fees are high up there I tend to do sells and stuff but at the end of the day I always end up with small amount of profits. Is that because I’m selling not as much or items cost + eBay fees / PayPal fees are eating it up? What shall I do? Thank you
WestCoastGaming so higher-priced items with a higher profit margin. Don’t buy something for $5 to sell for $20, you won’t make any money, spend $20 and sell for $100. My eBay fees are anywhere from $600 to $1000 a month the higher the fees the more money I made, it should be a cost of doing business, it shouldn’t eat all your profit.

the negative feedback is bullshit, i bought a washing machine part on ebay and the seller listed the part incorrectly saying it would fit my machine, it physically bolted in but did not work with the software. i got screwed because i installed it even though he listed it for my machine. had to fight ebay and they honored the seller. and to top it all off i couldnt even NEG him! the one time a seller deserves it i couldnt do it. fucking joke.

the negative feedback is bullshit, i bought a washing machine part on ebay and the seller listed the part incorrectly saying it would fit my machine, it physically bolted in but did not work with the software. i got screwed because i installed it even though he listed it for my machine. had to fight ebay and they honored the seller. and to top it all off i couldnt even NEG him! the one time a seller deserves it i couldnt do it. fucking joke.
