This video was extremely helpful. The dealership wanted about $1000 to order the parts and install them, which sounded outrageous. However, I probably wouldn't have tried it myself without seeing you go through all the steps. My 2016 Mazda CX3 now has a roof rack and cross bars. Thank you very much!!
You are very welcome 😁. It's amazing how easy some of these things can be! The first time a window regulator broke on my Jeep Liberty, I paid the dealership $500 to fix it. Then TH-cam helped me out, and every time they broke, which was frequently, it cost me about $40 and an hour's time to fix. Be brave! Congrats!
I was hoping to find a video for this. Just bought the rails on Ebay and needed to see a video about. Wish the video was in landscape mode, not mobile phone mode, to see more would have been easier on the eyes, but still good video. Will play it slowly as I do mine. Thanks.
My wife got a hardly used soul red metallic 2018 GS a few days ago. I was thinking of getting nice rims. Her, “I need a roof rack.” Then I go get the side rails and cross bars yesterday.
Mazda has amazing colors, and this is one of the favorite cars I've ever owned. Rims next? I have the 18" low profile tires on my Touring, and choices are limited (pricey). Wonder if the rim choices are limited like the tire choices....
I think you have better results if you start at the rear of the molding. Just open the hatch and start at that end. Disengage the clip of the roof molding, starting from the outside and then the inside.
good to know im not the only one getting bothered by how dirty my roof channel is. set out to install the roof rack, ended up spending a good hour or two cleaning that gap that I will never see
