This is the video to watch. No useless talking... just showing. Two features of this video that are very important is the tape he used to protect the dash from scratches and the clips he unhooked @5:16. Those clips release the housing for the CD and hub units. This drastically simplifies the installation. I watched several videos and this one is by far the best and was crucial in my success in performing the retrofit. My daughter loves her new carplay infotainment system!

are these genuine apple carplay retrofit or aftermarket. what parts do i need to buy for the retrofit? is it also plug and play, and how much did it cost you. thank you
Does this might affect the A/C? I sent my car to the dealership and now i get the feeling that A/C controls (mini wheels) are not really working like they used to, I have to lower the T° a lot more on the wheel options to get the same T° as before on the 1st wheel tempetarure setting.
is there any adapter with the connector - (brown or black) we can see at 8.40 - to usb male or female? i can't find any (just the oppisite, that it's useless to me)

I did it today. Totally agree. I struggled as well with the plastic part behind the screen. It was really tight.

Hi great video. do you disconnect the negative on the battery? and which number socket you uses?
It is recommended to disconnect the battery when doing this kind of installation, but too i'm lazy to do it, so need to give extra caution.

why not use the mazda aio tweaks way? is there a benefit to installing this hardware?

The brown and black connector is connect to the HUB unit
Did you know how to instal original camera?
installed hardware must also install the app or it automatically recognizes Android auto / carplay

Yes, I update my firmware to V 70.00.100 before install the HUB unit.

Is the screen a touch screen?
When using Android Auto, touch screen is not possible.
I wound never try this with mine. Needs a professional to do this .
