2:10 I can improve on this in a few ways. 1.) the Lightning doesn't hit right under him. You can take cover there is be ready to go to town right away and no need to dodge the pulse. 2.) Once on the ground he seems have a health gate (Weird, ranges dude don't have this wtf) you can bypass this by doing a few lights and doing a full charge (chainsword rev, power fist charge) to get a good chunk more then normal. 3.) Lastly, if you're confident in your dps, you can tank the scream and outdamage it to keep your health up. Easier as bulwark with plasma pistol and flag. Nice if it's almost dead and you just want to burst it down be done with it.
I devised a plan with my team, split into a triangle around him, if you have a sniper keep him further back so the attacks don't hit him as much. Then everyone just lay into him, he can only focus on one person at a time and gives the other 2 time to shoot. We went from struggling to kill them to melting them quickly. Also carnifex lasts 10 seconds for us now too
When the floor is lighting move appears the center has no lighting because that’s where the neurotroape will descend and begin pulsing. So when the lighting zone appears just run to the center you won’t have to waste time dashing through pulses. Also you can force the screech if you just stand next to it stopping it from spamming the other attacks. Finally I f you have a full melee team or you’re low on ammo have it chase you to somewhere with a ceiling it’ll chase and lower its altitude becoming vulnerable to melee strike, but screech attack will happen more. Bonus tip for carnifax always stand next to a structure even better if you can travel around it. This will stop the mega cockroach from spam charging you if you keep roll to the other side of the structure. Also serves as cover from the spikes. Finally if you have to dodge the charge roll into the charge after hearing the unblockable ding. Hope this helps💪🏼
Pro tip. the jump pack dash can place you right next to them and you won't take damage from the bubble or the green lightning surrounding them all you have to do is judge distance of the dash to place you in the middle where the green circles don't touch the closer you are and the more pressure you apply will cause them to rapidly go through their attacks or scream making them vulnerable and staying close and shooting during the scream will almost always cause them to pop the bubble. constant pressure and staying in close proximity to it will make them easier to fight also when you land from your dash you can start the charge for full throttle dealing massive damage to them time all this right and assault will make light work of them. the 123 stomp combo will always knock them to the ground inside the bubble and can be followed up by full throttle

If you're interested in testing another idea, i had a weird moment as assault with one where i connected with it on the downward portion of my jump pack attack mid air and it did over half of it's health bar in damage. Maybe a fluke but who knows right?
Brother Reginald, will you post a video of an operation with an Assault Marine? I wanna see how you attack and defend on larger hordes. Where and when you use charge attacks, when and where you use dodge and parry. Especially with a chainsword, idk why but I'm having a harder time using it than a Hammer for some reason
I mean it might just be me but this is something I picked up on almost immediately after encountering it in the story, like when it started doing the waves and I saw the bubble my mind immediately went 'ah that makes sense' then immediately blended it on the spot because if people are really complaining about an enemy that gives itself a giant red beacon saying 'I HAVE A SAFEZONE SET AROUND ME AND A PRE-DETERMINED LENGTH OF ATTACK WHERE, IF YOU ARE IN MELEE RANGE, I CANNOT HARM YOU BUT YOU CAN HARM ME FOR THE DURATION OF THE ATTACK', well then they're not even necessarily bad at the game, they just dumdums
I didn't play the campaign until yesterday. Even when I did I just shot the thing to pieces with my infinite ammo and it died so fast it didn't matter lol.
I noticed the safe melee zone when it falls down when i fought it during the campaign. I didn't know what caused it to do so. This will greatly help me kill those a lot easier.
That's how I killed it in the campaign after running out of bullets. I would honestly rather see a Neuro than two regular Zoantrophes shielding each other. If that happens, you just kinda stand there and don't do anything, barring a krak grenade.
I just found out these tips last night on operations, I didn’t even know what was hitting me haha they sneak up on the battlefield and before you know it, you’re getting green hell’d up the ass.
If you run out of ammo near a boss fight and you know a class swap drop pod is in the area. You can get full ammo there by picking your loadout again, while one member kites the boss.

I eventually figured out I had to abandon using boltors and just grab a sniper to finish the job asap
Could you do one for the Carnifex? They eat up so much ammo and while soloing on a melee build with bots I can watch them empty a full clip into it and not see any damage done! Really need to learn how to melee this boss but learning the tells in game is not going well for me! After watching this I now enjoy seeing a Neurothrope spawn :)
Heavy main here, everytime I see a Neurothrope I'm just grinning ear to ear cause that's free Armory data for me. Iron Halo shield completely negate all of Neurothrope attack. The only thing it can't ignore is the ground wave attack but that would just put the bug even closer to my Multi Melta.
honestly, zoanthropes are harder than neurothropes. They keep floating, only using ranged attacks, not landing. If you melee and have bolter pistol or out of ammo - you aint killing it.
@@Reginald-sc9tk so even when that shield icon pop up you’re still doing damage? I’m a bulwark main with the charged plasma shots and Jesus it seems like I run out of ammo before even one goes down..
Seeing that your pretty competent at the game, do you think there needs to be more ammo pickups and more ways to earn health. These are my only gripes with the game atm, i just wanna know if its a skill issue on my end or genuine issue people are facing
Well, I play Assault mostly and for that its just melee. My pistol is reserved for critical work only. Other classes I cannot say for sure. I feel my team is able to make due but the heavy does tend to run out of ammo. I know I do as tactical. On the other hand I like melee. I think you're supposed to leverage melee more in higher difficulties for random trash and shoot more when it's important like waves and stuff.
Actually, since i remember your video about you complaining ( and you are right to !) About darktide's Thunder Hammer. What is your impression of the one from Space marine 2 ? I guess it fits a very different rule, from elite sniping to heavy crowd control ?
Reginald, is the Relic tier fencing chainsword "Alquilan dedication" working properly for you? Upon trying it, i noticed the defence type wasn't actually fencing, but rather balanced. I thought I was going crazy, and I double checked the loadut throughout the mission. As soon as that operation was over, I switched back to the purple tiered fencing chainsword, and it worked properly. Two other bugs I also encountered last night: - Both Zoanthropes were invulnerable to my shots. My teammates could deal damage just fine, but regardless of there being no green shield bubble, I would still get the shield hit marker. I also shot both (alternating between them) very rapidly, and still only got shield hit markers. - Parries simply stopped granting me gun strikes mid game, and then just started working again...? Note that perfect dodges still allowed me to use the gun strikes. Also, thanks for the guide. As someone who exclusively played assault until lvl 25, and is now playing bulwark, my ranged capabilities are not fantastic.
As a level 25 tactical guy. I HATE these guys. Issue is, Bolters sucks... they are really weak so the only primary thats viable IS THE... melta... A close range weapon. Yeah. Auspex scan it, i have perks to deal 75% more damage and 1 shot extremis qith 50% energy on extremis and boss scans. I have dodged, i have ducked, dipped, dived and dodged and thos thing always catches me mid roll. Still i appreciate the tips. Tyranids are easy compared to chaos. They are tank, bolters suck, snipers are A holes and the demons can tank a shot from a relic melta to the face.
Button bashing for about 30 mins, buzzin ive killed shit loads of tyranids, Ran outve ammo, stim packs, team mates and fingertips....and then run around the corner into this BASTARD!!
I generally do beat this every time, but one advice I can give you as a heavy do not. I mean it's kind of hard to know when you shouldn't do this, but try to not be caught with this boss with the multi-melta the multi-melta just it can't do it. It literally cannot even in the phase where this big-headed bastard falls to the ground. It just doesn't deal with it. The heavy bolter and the plasma center are to shred this thing so I don't know when you're going to know to not have this equipped, but try to get a gut feeling of oh. Yep, this this modock looking bastard's about to show up don't have the multi-melt
@@Reginald-sc9tk Fair enough. At the same time I just haven't heared any memorably good music in SM2 yet. While in Darktide, the music that plays during a boss fight (Assassination) or some of the Auspex scanning became memorably after the first time hearing them. I'd say the best (or, at least the most relieving) music I've heard in SM2 is on the mission success screen. 🙂

I am not sure. I have less than 1 hour in campaign so far.
The non boss ones don’t come down ever tho how do I not just run out of ammo😊
In diff 4 there's an extremis enemy in almost every section. Expect it, preserve your ammo.
Actually, since i remember your video about you complaining ( and you are right to !) About darktide's Thunder Hammer.
What is your impression of the one from Space marine 2 ? I guess it fits a very different rule, from elite sniping to heavy crowd control ?
Stay tuned for another video entitled "i hate the thunder hammer" lmao
@@Reginald-sc9tk Oh 😂 Roger that
Meanwhile me with my Las Fusil
Reginald, is the Relic tier fencing chainsword "Alquilan dedication" working properly for you? Upon trying it, i noticed the defence type wasn't actually fencing, but rather balanced.
I thought I was going crazy, and I double checked the loadut throughout the mission. As soon as that operation was over, I switched back to the purple tiered fencing chainsword, and it worked properly.
Two other bugs I also encountered last night:
- Both Zoanthropes were invulnerable to my shots.
I am absolutely having issues with the relic fencing, its definitely coded wrong or something.
Wish insane will have multiple bosses a mission. And more bosses in general. Let me fight more bugs!!!
What difficulty are you playing while fighting NEUROTHROPEs
3-4
@@Reginald-sc9tk ok, thank you
I NEEEDDD THISSSSS
How do I dodge this stupid waves?
Forward
most matches i am in end up with people acting like these bosses need to be tank and spanked, then they all die.
Gotta play smart is what I'm slowly learning.
Interesting, I had a friend say MM was goated
@@Reginald-sc9tk oh it's god tier against literally every but the flying mini boss and all bosses
I like how the music in SM2 is so lackluster that TH-camrs use music from the better game; DT. 😝
Its ok music. I think the issue is no one wants to harvest it. Takes labour.
