Gun owner kept it until the moment he swung that knife . Deadly force could've been used in that case but he kept it in . Respect . Glad no one ended in tragedy .
I don't think deadly force would have been viable in this case and makes no right for him to shoot the guy with the knife. As he pulled out a gun, the guy with the knife started fleeing, and you can't really shoot him after the fact and claim self-defense as the threat is being or has escalated otherwise it is manslaughter. For example, I don't think it would be legal to purposely antagonize another person as seen in the video, and then pull a gun and shoot them and then claim it in self-defense. For a situation where it is legal to shoot them, the guy should have brought out the gun in the first place so that the guy with the knife knows that he has a gun to start with, and it would be legal to shoot him in self-defense as he tried to swing his knife because of the apparent threat at hand.
@@gartyqam Pretty sure he's saying had the gun already been drawn, shooting him in that moment would've been completely legal. Obviously shooting someone after the situation is de-escalating is not.

I am glad that the biker represented the legal armed community well, he is a prime example of how a responsible and LEGAL gun owner should act like in a confrontation.
Respect to the motorcyclist, he only brought out his gun when the white-shirted man slashed at him with the knife. But still, slashing at a man purely because he gave you the finger is just irresponsible and dangerous.
I used to fight in the amateurs and still somewhat feel like the biker is a dumbass. If someone is crazy enough to square up with you while holding a knife, it is no longer a fair fight and you show whatever weapon you have to match or overtake theirs which in this situation was his gun. Yep he did a great job by not brandishing his weapon until it was necessary.. To be honest though he was a motorcyclist who wasn't in any hurry to avoid a fight which you should always do when carrying.. You should avoid any situation you can that may lead to you having to pull or discharge your firearm.. because once you use it it's property of the police until they can clear you and if the other dude gets a good lawyer they could tie you and your weapon in court proceedings for years and take away your carry permit even if it was self-defense.. Luckily this motorcycle man and his wife took video, but we only saw a small portion of it.. looked like they both wanted a fight... But maybe he couldn't avoid it, I wasn't there.... always carry ITWB.
It wasn't even his first line of defense. He had brass knuckles ready should he be attacked by hand so you can tell he is very disciplined with his firearm. Good stuff
This wasn't mentioned in the video but believe it or not, it was actually Rivera (the guy who brandished the knife) who called the police after his victim drew down on him. Gotta love how quickly he morphs from aggressor to victim when he gets a gun drawn on him after he advanced on him with a knife. Glad the motorcycle dude wasn't harmed or charged after he defended himself appropriately.

@Nuby Read stand your ground law, he only has to fear his life is in danger. It wasn't a gun fight and the knife guy used a silly slashing motion. It isn't a sword he is wielding. I'll give you a clue because it's in the USA. He should have but not pointed it until he was swung at, the knife swing could have easily made contact and it was at the neck so it could have been fatal.
@@Ruinya Yeah I said in the situation that both parties knew that the guy had a gun then it would be legal to shoot him based on the stand your ground doctrine, but I don't think that should be the case if you purposely conceal a weapon shoot them at the last second.
@@Ruinya Also I am not saying that the other guy with the knife shouldn't be held liable, because he should as he threatened another guy and tried to kill him, but the guy with the gun shouldn't just shoot him like that as it was already concealed, because the guy with the knife would probably not have tried to strike in the first place or maybe not even have a knife out.

The dude couldve gotten stabbed and his life considerably threatened. Lucky he missed. If I was a cop and that dude came at me with a knife, he would've be downed immediately. U dont know how many cops have gotten killed b/c of "trigger discipline"
@@ethanc.7477 You can read.
21 foot rule, shoulda pulled the gun earlier so he didn't get that close. Both parties goofy
If you’re watching this video, don’t be like anyone in it. NEVER let a man with a knife that’s threatening you get that close to you or someone you love. Just leave the scene.
Sometimes that's not an option man some people chase you down and you have no choice not saying that's what happened here but in alot of road rage stuff you don't have a choice to run
The guy is on a motorcycle is with his wife , the guy could have used his car to kill them if they didn’t stop...
The only mistake he did is not pulling the gun out sooner.
Never turn your back on someone with a knife especially a guy that's ready to use it over giving someone the finger
Wisdom!! There's always a way to leave you just have to find it.. Could very well save your life 🙏
Funny how the dude with the knife was acting tough and as soon as the gun gets drawn homeboy calling the cops 😂😂
Then spreads his arms out looking at the other drivers like "you believe this guy? He pulled a gun on me"
Like dude stop you're holding a knife trying to get bystanders on your side now that your ego got bruised.
@@DaveMustaineShreds lmao true
Respect to the man on the motorcycle for standing his ground, stay safe man
Look closely because the man on the motorcycle moved towards the guy with the knife before he got slashed. It's not standing your ground that's assaulting someone.
@@junodonatus4906 Well answered!
@@junodonatus4906 walking towards someone is not assault
@@imadeyoureadthis1500 . Yes if you have a gun and provoke people
Zero respect for an idiot putting his wifes life in danger because of a little bruised ego
Imagine losing in a fight by choosing wrong weapon and being punished by it
This is a perfect example of "if you pull a gun be ready to use it" not "if you pull a gun you better use it."
Right !!! Too many ichy trigger fingers , including the police .
Professional restraint with a firearm is dwindling .
Only pull to shoot never do what this dude did and pull to intimidate ....that's a big no no
God DAMN that Biker's got insane self control. It's very obvious he's been trained and understands just how to wield a firearm. The amount of restrain he showed, especially waiting to pull the gun until the man had slashed at him. Then attempting to get him to drop his weapon before taking any lethal action. Bravo dude, bravo
He doesn't
I would have never pulled the gun unless I was gunna shoot it. That said, I thought he was pretty slow and the best time to pull it would have been when he the knife was In motion and at that point had a right to fire when the knife was in motion towards is body. Pointing the gun with one hand like an idiot while walking towards a man with a knife was pretty stupid... IN MY OPINION. However, to me it looked like it could have led to an easy take over of the fire arm. I think he was stupid asf for holding it that close with one hand especially while approaching the man. Just my thought.
He was twice the size of pedro
If he was properly trained he would’ve put distance between him and the attacker instead of walking closer. This is just common sense, you don’t get close to the man with a knife
He claimed he couldn’t remember approaching the biker with a knife? What, this dude has memory loss?!? This world is nutz
😆😅👍
Dont try to fist fight someone with a knife 🤦♂️. Respect to him for not being a coward who pulls a weapon of the bat. But hes lucky he didnt get stabbed.
Props to the guy on the bike. He didn't utilize deadly force until absolutely necessary. Well done sir.
florida man
Wish the police could do the same
@@GT-Tezzy well did you vote biden and bernie who gave them massages and d iplomacy
My guy actually brought a knife to a gun fight 😂
The motorcyclist did the right thing, he pulled out the gun when the guy was swinging his knife at him. That's proper self defense and how guns *should* be used.
You might think that's proper use, but it's completely against the law. He should be charged with brandishing a firearm. You can only draw a firearm in defense of your life and then you must use it, otherwise it's very clear you didn't fear for your life. He'll probably have a huge headache to deal with in civil court at the least at this point.
@@sYnSilentStorm - If an assailant confronts you with a deadly weapon, that’s more than sufficient reason to draw a firearm. And there’s no requirement to fire your gun once it is drawn, especially if the attacker retreats.
The man with the gun had every right to end that man's life he was acting in self defense and didn't pull out his gun until after he had the knife SWUNG at him by the other moron. I am honestly in shock the man with the knife is alive in no world do I think he is allowed to live. His life should have ended the second he swung that knife thinking the biker was defenseless
@@sYnSilentStorm it's called self defense, I ain't going to say "please sir, Stop stabbing me with a knife 🤓, It hurts 🤓🤓" like you, If I ever get a gun which is next to impossible in my country, I am going to draw it out if needed
@@sYnSilentStorm "you must use it" It wasn't necessary, And if he DID use it, You guys would be crying harder
They should make me a judge .. Its very simple. All I would have to say is , u wanted to pass judgment on someone and end their life for getting the middle finger . What judgment should I pass on u for attempted murder?
Biker de-escalated this scenario perfectly, only pulling out his gun after the guy with a knife took a swing.
Florida people be like
You pull over, I pull over. You put on brass knuckles, I pull a knife. You pull a knife, I pull a gun. Not exactly de-escalating the situation.
If only there was a way to make sure gun owners were this responsible.
We're you just listen to the lieing liberal media that panders to your feelings news flash for you we don't care about your feelings at all not even a little bit
He is more responsible with his gun than a police officer. YOLO :)
@AquaticSloth word
@AquaticSloth Loser take. If you go by that logic then you prob. got stepped on numerous times in your life. Don't let people walk all over you, it's common sense not ego.
If he were that responsible he would have never been in that situation to begin with. Only a child would see it any other way.
Wow, someone with concealed carry actually pulled it out! And still exercised restraint!
I'm not from the US and it's the first time I see a US video where the gun is not being fired.
Never bring a knife to a gunfight 😮
"he was charged with aggravated assault" sir I think slinging a knife at someones throat is aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
I can’t believe he took a swing with the knife and still got to walk away. What a damn nice guy
My thoughts exactly
It was more of a "keep your space big guy swing" and also "if you get slit, Gotcha!" but still the knife guy is lucky he didn't get shot when he refused to put down his knife. This man knows all about self defense.
*This biker
@@Penland1234 how's the biker supposed to know that in the moment, especially when the knife hits his vest.

Yep and he’s lucky he didn’t connect because he probably would’ve gotten shot at least a few times and who knows if he would’ve survived the shooting.
And children that how "bringing knife in a gun fight" derived from.
This is terrifying. It is never this serious 🤦🏽♀️ im just glad no one was hurt 🙏🏽
Motorcycle dude did it all right man. Even waited to pull until after he swung the knife. Props my guy!
TRUTH.
Yes he showed much self restraint I give him two thumbs up
This is the type of restraint you need to have when you carry a firearm. I was taught from a young age you don't point a gun at someone until you intend to shoot. He didn't pull his weapon until the knife was used. Even though he could've pulled it sooner. Kudos to that guy
He should have but not pointed it until he was swung at, the knife swing could have easily made contact and it was at the neck so it could have been fatal. One extremely important thing to know when carrying is it is a good deterrent, when he brought it out in the vid the other guy almost immediately started to back down. He should have brought the gun out immediately after seeing the knife. The guy could have easily stabbed him with how close he was but he wouldn't have dared to get that close if the biker pulled it out earlier.
He could have been dead from that blade swing family cryn in shyt yet he had pistol did nothing. Thats a loss bro if that blade hit hm.
@@AmaryIIion Guy with the knife didn't commit to the swing. He stuck in place while swinging. Show's you how much of a man he really is, which is to say, not much of a man if you have to pull a knife on a man purely for ego.
use it. at that point knife guy was a lethal threat. Self defense all day
@@heyyou9472 regardless of whether he did or not it would be stupid to wait for him to try and here he got pretty damn close to the neck and if he wanted he was close enough to be able to easily stab the biker. You shouldn't wait for a person to attack first if they have a weapon, especially a knife at that close of range. He should have pulled his gun out sooner.
dont bring a knife to a gunfight 😆

Good on the wife getting it on film. Self defense ALL day. Why people do this in the United States is BEYOND ME. You doing what that dude did could get you seriously hurt and it’ll be self defense. Same with people breaking into homes. So dumb. In my state we have the castle doctrine. In some states the burden is on you to prove you felt no other option then to shoot. In my state the burden is on the DA to prove you DID NOT feel your life was in danger. And guess what? As a result we don’t have nearly that many home invasions.
It happens in other countries too
You seem knowledgeable. What state?
Good on the wife for not getting in the way. Women often insert themselves physically into altercations like this either screaming or pulling on their man causing the situation to escalate
How is it self defense if the biker guy moved towards the man with the knife before he got slashed?
Cant claim self defense walking forwards towards a guy with a knife. Once the knife came out he should have pulled the gun and if the knife guy advances it becomes self defense
Love how he waited until it was even more than justified to pull the gun; just to solidify his case
The man brought a knife to a gunfight. Yikes
