From 2006-2015, he played in 157+ games in nine of those ten seasons, playing in 162 four times. He finished in top 5 in MVP voting three times.
Nothing wrong with the way he went out. If you ask the majority of players going into MLB, they would love to last 9 years.
Agree, he has to stop playing due to medical reasons, not because was not producing....
I always found it crazy he hit the exact amount of home runs as his dad(319)
Many aspects of his career are similar to his father's career. Father first season age 21, last age 34. Prince first season aged 21, last 32. Prince's OBP .099 higher than his average. Cecil's .090 higher. Father 1470 games, Prince 1611. Prince 6 AS, 3 SS MVP 3,3,4,9,13, his Father 3 AS, 2 SS, MVP 2,2,9,24. Prince's career war 23.8, father 17.2. Both bad defenders, and you can keep going....
Homage to pops man, father son type shit
I played travel baseball with prince fielders dad as the coach.
@@jackwilliams7738 Awesome.
His dad had a bigger ass
Prince’s best season is 2009. Then his power decline brutally. In 2011, he hits 38 homers. Then hits just 30 homers in 2012 despite career high batting average of .313. Then he never hits 30 homers again. 2013 he was mediocre but healthy. 2014 a tragic season of surgery. Happily he made a great comeback in 2015. Hit over .300 the second time of his career but only 23 homers. But still happy to see him winning comeback of the year. Then in 2016 he had a career ending injury😢.
My mission in life is let everyone know that Prince Fielder hit an inside the park HR
Twice
Bro his story is prob the saddest career ending I remember when he had to retire to that neck injury
Subscribed just because you called said RBI and not *RBIs*
As a brewer fan Prince is one of my GOATs for brewers tenure
As much as i hated John Daniels, I will always defend the trade for Prince. Hindsight is always 20/20.... and it might not have worked out the way it was expected, but it was a great move that needed to be made.
5 year's in baseball is a lifetime in difference when your coming up and when your coming down
great video on one of my favorite players. I remember wishing Rogers would sign him to hit behind Joey Bats.
Too bad
Did anyone notice that mlb pitchers pitched around prince for like 3 to 4 years there.he didn't see anything to hit for games at a time
12 big league seasons, $248million. I'm sure he's fine.
It’s ok Prince. I’ll always draft you on MLB Power Pros 08. We’ll always have that together
Love these types of vids, maybe do one on Sano since I know you’re a twins fan and he had a massive fall off
@@AbdelmajidPancratius he’s both
Why is he fans of two Al teams 😂😂😂
Prince and those brewers we so fun to watch h
He ate his way out of the HOF.
Makes no sense, he slimmed down every year it seemed
@@dnavarro972
You have astigmatism.
It seems.
I hope you guys also do the story on the rise and fall of David Wright
He's my second favorite player and I wonder if he didn't have neck problems if he would've won a World Series somewhere...
Great video
Underrated
Man tigers really dodged a bullet on this one.
I was glad the Brewers didn't overpay for him. I don't know baseball well but he was fat and that doesn't bode well for health.
Does anybody know if his kids are playing baseball as well?
Hey Gomer can you make a rise and fall of Giancarlo Stanton
Maybe we should wait for the ‘Rise Again’
@@GomerBaseball I wish he would be good again but he’s had 1 and a half seasons of being an awful baseball player. I think a full short video would be about Matt Carpenters 2022
Too many unknowns about the cause of his fall. I'm increasingly inclined to heed the arguments that his career was based on steroids, because his physical problems since joining the Yankees are things that could easily be accountable to years of steroid abuse
@@TheDestroyerOfRacismHe turned into Gallo, in the rare occasions when he is on the field.
@@GeraldM_inNC he’s had so many Lower half injuries and they have caught up. He’s also like 6’5
From first ballot hall of famer to fallen off the earth in a matter of a decade. And they say baseball isn't a tough sport like football.
I blame Avisail Garcia.
His fall wasn't heartbreaking.hes fine I'm sure. and as fans he was cool no matter how it ended
They definitely knew something was wrong
Fielder might have the worst post season stats of all-time.
Idc I fuccin love Prince fielder
This the fixture of Vlad Jr.
Nah, Peince was always huge and consistent
Has anyone ever worn a neck brace on camera and not looked like a peice of shit??
theres literally nothing heartbreaking about people who got paid millions of dollars. ever.
Please do a rise and fall of Andruw Jones. Another 50 HR guy who fell off of a cliff after that and was a completely different player.
Andruw Jones is the laziest player i have ever seen. Non-speedsters like Paul LoDuca and Brad Hawpe took an extra base when Jones played their routine singles lackadaisically, with the submarine flip back toward the infield not even getting near 2nd base ahead of the runner. Then, when the Braves had finally had enough of him at age 30, he signed with the Dodgers and showed up to spring training very fat. When asked about his weight, he laughed it off. He was told that the fans might not appreciate their team's big free agent showing up so out of shape, so he said he didn't care what the fans thought. If he was such a great player, why did very smart baseball guys like John Scheurholz and Bobby Cox let him walk out the door as a free agent in the prime of his career? I can't believe there are people who want to put Andruw Jones in the Hall of Fame.
He got fat and then sucked. Prince got *fatter* and then sucked. Pablo Sandoval, Sean Kemp etc
He was just too big for his own good. Great player in his prime.
There's a hidden reason for why Prince was also traded. During the 2013 season there was an "incident" in the clubhouse with a certain former Tiger. look it up if you haven't heard of it. Caused Miggy to get injured midway through 2013 and essentially played on 1 leg for the final 2 months of the season and the playoffs
If it's part of the historical record, you don't need to pose riddles. I'm pretty good at searching and I was not able to quickly dig up the story. One former Tiger I can think of was his dad Cecil Fielder. Prince apparently distanced himself from his father. But I don't think that's who you are referring to. Just spill it.
Avasail Garcia slept with Fielders wife......
@@anonymike8280 Avi
@@anonymike8280Avisail Garcia porked Fielders wife and they got into a fight which Miggy broke up and managed to injure himself. Some people say he was never the same.
Fielders post season numbers were horrible.
His dream was to pass his father in home runs. For him to finish at 319 is crazy
If health didn’t have its way with him I’m sure he woulda hit over 500 homers
Prince fielder is My favourite player of all time I tear up watching his force to retire press conference
It was quite literally heartbreaking, the avisaíl garcía saga is a little bit buried because he never turned out as good as they said he would
While this was a sad ending for prince, he made plenty of money to take care of his family. Milwaukee never had a prayer of keeping him. And to this day Milwaukee will always lose the best ones because there is no salary cap. When one team can pay 300 million in salary and others only 120 to 150 million, keeping good players isn't happening. So, I feel sorry for him to a point.
Another amazing vid
As a new fan of baseball i see a trend of them retiring early 30s than nfl or nba players
Love your vids, if you intend to do a series on this, please do Ryan Howard, kinda similar
I would also like these guys to do the Khalil Green story too
He went vegan and his body deteriorated
As a Rangers fan, this sucks. I loved Prince Feilder as a rangers, especially in 2015, They would always walk feilder and Beltre comes in clutch behind him. It unfortunate that his neck fell apart on him. Hope he's doing okay nowadays.
Prince Fielders fall came from him discovering he had a major health issue with his heart. which led to him being forced to retire, he was set up with that massive contract he signed with Detroit before he was traded to Texas but he had by far a good career cut short
It was kinda like david wright's or ryan howard's, sports of any kind can be cut short due to injury and lives could ended in split seconds.
He quit the PEDs
Love your videos
As a tigers fan I thought it was cool to see Cecil hit a home run in the first tigers game I attended and after I moved out of state the last Tigers game I saw in person was on the road at Cincinnati and Prince hit a home run the first time I saw him in person.
Got to see both of them crush a ball out of the park.
I went to Miller park a lot when he was a Brewer. He was special. Truly a sad ending.
I'll Remember Him For Wanting To Handle His Business.
Man I forgot how stacked that years ROY was. Crazy how half that list all played for the marlins too
The guy on the right in the thumbnail looks like dub from intheclutchint
Also has the best homerun celebration every seen in the MLB to this day as well.
He would have been in the hall of fame and its sad to see what happened to him
Was a fan of his dad growing up, was a treat to hear he had a talented slugger son in mlb so was a treat to see him around for a short while
the fact that he needed an INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN to reach an even 50 in his 2007 campaign, as possibly the slowest runner in all of baseball, is absurd. The fact he hit another later in his career? GOAT stuff. Loved watching Prince play, he's a great dude.
I hope he becomes a hall of famer, he’s underrated.
@@AbdelmajidPancratius I know he isn’t but still
W video
The same happened to Big Panda, but the opposite way with his bad habits with his bad anger issues and attacking players by getting way too aggressive towards them got him fired from the giants and not being signed to any mlb team after his release
I'm calling bullshit on just about all of that....
Bruh, you’re showing him in High School and you play a single? Wtf is wrong with you?
