    Fantastic video, thanks! I recently rediscovered my love for the autocannon. I always take the Twigsnapper heavy armor for the ergonomics bonus because I don't like spam shooting. I think the light armor is just a bit squishy for bots, and Twigsnapper increases my survivability more than medium Fortified armor. I think there's a strong case for the Engineering Kit having 30% recoil bonus and +2 flashbangs. I noticed the same thing, that crouching is good enough for recoil management, and in general I've been diving prone more for lots of weapons so I don't need the recoil bonus. But flashbangs...
    I also have a hard time not taking the Punisher Plasma. Stunlocking heavy devastators and two shotting scout striders is such a relief when you can't get breathing room to reload the autocannon. I do like the Tenderizer, but the Punisher Plasma AOE always saves my butt when there is a crowd of troopers.

      Thanks! Yeah, I usually go Heavy in coop, but for solo I figure I can make the most of moving fast. Plasma Punisher is great, but I feel there's some common ground with the Autocannon - with the Tenderizer I can have that specialise in quick CQB kills, with the Autocannon for AOE stagger. I love it with HMG setups though to make up for the lack of AOE!

    Glad to see the Autocannon Sentry really do its thing against Bots, especially after they fixed all sentries' durability. I've ran Autocannon (the weapon) with Mortars in certain missions, but it might be worth giving Rocket and Autocannon Sentries another chance. Those two can also help against gunships!

      The Autocannon by itself is amazing for Gunships, but the Sentries really help with certain support weapons like the Railgun or even for saving Spear ammo.

    More Spiked lets goooo! Loving the mix of solo and team content, and the explanations on how you switch up loadouts accordingly.
    I think AMR is my #1 for killing bots, but AC is my #1 overall just for its ability to take out fabricators. Super useful, and on heavy bases I often don't need to use a single stratagem to take out 3 or 4 fabs.
    Definitely going to play around with turrets more. I've been seeing them a lot - and know about the buffs - but it's hard to let go of eagle airstrike! Usually go infiltrator (70 armor, scout passive) with OPS, 500kg, eagle airstrike, and AC.
    Pls post a Wezen run 😭we need more helldivers!

      Glad you're enjoying the content! And you're in luck, a pretty nutty Wezen run coming up tomorrow...
      I find the Eruptor + AMR combo just as good for Fabs as the AC tbh, but the main thing that feels better is Gunship kills imo, being able to 2-shot them with the AC has to be the most efficient of all the support weapon kills.
      Yeah, AC sentry is nice for variety but not essential for an AC build - it's probably more useful for those weapons that struggle a little more vs Gunships, as it's pretty great for them. Eagle Airstrike is just so good allround.

    Hardest difficulty should be actually hard! 9s can be pretty consistently won, I've only ever failed a handful of times and it was with questionable randoms. A team that communicates and knows what they're doing can almost always succeed. I expect 10s to be dense with mobs and much higher spawn rate of heavies, wise decision making should be pinnacle to survival. Victory should not be impossible but also not be guaranteed, making each win feel amazing when you do pull through.

    This is the first type of video I think I've seen for this game, based on a friend recommendation (since he knows I like the Autocannon alot).
    I mostly played in the first months of the games release (stopped around when the sickle released and the Diligence Counter Sniper got its buff).
    Seeing this really opened my eyes about what you can do with alot of the stuff I kinda ignored before (turrets, OPS, etc.)
    My current go to is Sickle, the Autopistol, Impact nades, Medium armor that gives you extra stims with increased potency, Autocannon, Orbital Laser, Orbital Gatling Barrage, Railcannon. That might have to change tbh (though I'll need to grind heavy to get the premium warbonds with the stun grenades and that Tenderizer primary. It looks like it shreds.

      Glad it's giving you some new ideas! There's a lot to experiment with, a lot of the 'meta' you'll find discussed e.g. the Scorcher on bots are the generalists that are good against everything, but you can sometimes better specialist combinations that do better at their individual roles e.g. the Tenderizer is great vs Troopers and Berzerkers, but not so good against other enemies which the Autocannon excels at instead.

    Based on what I've read, Rocket Sentries and Autocannon Sentries actually fire almost the exact same type of round. They have the same armor penetration and do the same damage, only the Autocannon rounds have a bigger splash radius and hit their target faster. They both also have level 5 armor penetration, meaning that the Autocannon Sentry can actually damage and kill Tanks, Hulks and Factory Striders. The Rocket Sentry carries more rounds and fires two at a time versus the Autocannon Sentry's three at a time, so it's more ammo efficient and lasts longer.
    Of course, there's no knowing if this is going to stay the same after the patch, but it kind of blew my mind how little difference there was between these two. You would think the Autocannon Sentry would statistically be similar to the Autocannon, but it's actually a lot stronger.

      Nice breakdown, and yeah they're both great choices. The AC Sentry's projectile speed is probably the biggest difference, really helps it snipe targets from very far away, being able to bring both is fantastic though.

    I agree with those who say the AR class as a whole is not very good. However, I think the tenderizer and sickle are good. People just want the 100 different liberator variants to be brought up to be on par with the tenderizer.

      I use the Carbine and Adjudicator a lot as well. Haven't used the default in a while but its stats aren't too bad. Concussive and Pen definifely need work tho.

      @@newspiked7385 Very nice. I usually do semi auto rifles (scorcher, dcs, dominator) on the bots and a shotgun (blitzer, incendiary, punisher) on the bugs. I'm glad you're making some of the ars work for you. Maybe I'll give them a go again.

    Nice to see someone who sees the tenderizer since everyone seems to blanketly call the ARs really bad.
    Being able to 2 shot all devastators with both rapid fire and plenty of ammo is huge but also handle the army of chaff around them.
    With bots I run the light stealth armor - even when I'm not steatlhing because it really, really seems to make the bot reaction times a lot worse plus if you NEED to stealth or stop fighting? It works out pretty easy. It's so weird. I'm too aggressive for my won good but it works out.

      Yeah, Stealth Armour is like you're playing a different game, whether you're stealthing or going loud. Disengaging from the enemy is so much easier with the reduced visibility.

    The sentries are goated Autocannon sentry, rocket sentry even the gatling sentry for bug breaches. I combine them with the spear and commando for my loadouts on both sides it works pretty well.

    Have a potential challenge idea for you! Every difficulty consecutively with no deaths would be a fun watch. I’d watch the whole thing.

      I just can't stomach the lower difficulties :P Call me a tryhard, I'd prefer to just run some consecutive 9s deathless.

      Yup! The stagger's very useful, I usually pair it with something that can penetrate Scout Strider shields as that's its only real weakness. Good for bugs too in Stalwart builds!

    @Spiked. I absolutely love your videos. You've got a unique and precise way to attack the enemy and deal with objectives that's genuinely bad made me a better player. But please, consider turning the Gane music down or off on your videos, especially on solos, it's just too loud and distracts from your commentary and game sound...

      Thanks! I'll consider bringing it down a little, but I definitely prefer having it on, I like it for atmosphere and it also lets you know the alert state on enemies, and for bugs you can even tell when a Bile Titan is active as their special music plays.

    Level 10 should be impossible to solo. Honestly, I think level 9 should be impossible to solo as well, and pretty sure when the devs were creating the game, they probably thought "OK, nobody's going to be able to take this on by themselves". Then try-hards like you showed up and said, "hold my beer". LOL! One way to easily guarantee it can't be done solo would be to ensure primary objectives have a "friendship door" type mechanic. You need at least 2 people to execute the task or it's mission failure and a trip to the democratic re-education center.

      I can confirm that it's very possible :P. Was definitely a step up from lvl 9, and I think in a group it will get even crazier. Definitely having fun with it, and I'd hate a forced coop mechanic tbh, as that's less of a challenge thing and more of a player count check. Bot run is processing, I have a feeling bugs solo is gonna be a lot tougher tho.

      @@newspiked7385 oh, I'm definitely not saying the friendship door mechanic is the proper solution. In fact, I am in full agreement with you - it's just forcing a player count check. My point is more that this game is designed for team / co-op play. That its hardest level can be soloed with every primary and secondary objective completed is, in my opinion, a failure on the part of the game designers.
      For example, I used to play World of Warcraft. Wayyyyy back in the day. At the time, Molten Core was the pinnacle achievement. It was a 40-person raid. I don't care HOW good you were, or what armor/weapons you had, there was absolutely NO way to solo it.
      Understand, I'm not disparaging you, or your amazing gameplay. I watch your videos both for entertainment (the banter between you and your team is fantastic) and for education - so _I_ can become a better diver - both solo and in a team.

      @@JonnyBravo0311 I'd definitely love that - the game does have scaling difficulty tho so it looks like they do want to cater for solo players, which is fair enough, not everyone has a team they enjoy playing with. I would just treat solo difficulty as something different from coop difficulty, if you really wanna compare runs.
