    As a experienced hunter and horse master I often track by smell and spore for my hunt , and I would walk on the side of my feet, and move slowly and think quickly , exclet vido .
    I also look for water and degriation of the spor . I hunt big game in Europe , excellent video if I was in a military situation I would put my body wast in a hole and cover well then brush the ground.

    There was a small tribe from Northern Michigan, who were superior to all tribes in tracking, including the Comanche and Apache. The Fuccowee Indians. If you get lost in the wilderness; legend has it that you can call to the Fuccowee spirits to guide you. Find a clearing where you can look to the sky, raise your palms upwards, kneel on one knee, and chant "Where the Fuccowee!"

    Looking forward to your "How not to be tracked " video 😀
    On the hearing part, I would add , cup your hands behind your ears to gather and increase the volume of sound. Also helps to narrow down the direction the sound is coming from.
    Very informative video and always learning something new 👍

      Hi Baron, yes I will add that to the list! I think it's quite in order. That's such a simple and yet effective tip. Thanks for adding it here. I'll remember that and all the other lost-in-time skills that are suddenly coming to mind. C

    Clarice, I love your channel, but this one did take me aback a bit. You describe tracking people for resources you need, and potential people in front of you as 'quarry'! Haha I'd hate to be the one you're tracking. Great tips, as always

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  ปีที่แล้ว

      Jaa... it depends why you're tracking them. Resources could be anything from medical supplies to food and water. If you're tracking poachers then they do become quarry ;) C

    Probably the best video I have seen to date on tracking, lots of very interesting points.
    Regarding establishing gender from pitch; for women that have had multiple births and the resulting manipulation of the pelvis during pregnancy, that their pitch then increases with each child (variable depending on the physiology of the individual). Straddle, stride and foot size are key indicators for gender identification.
    Conversely, anyone carrying weight, if they are fit and healthy, the pitch tends more toward the median.
    Pubescent teenagers’ pitch, due to ongoing growth and muscle tone development, can manifest in a consistent pigeon toed gait, or a generally less refined or efficient foot placement, again variable to each individual.

    Hey C, What a coincidence, we were tracking some land animals today like Marsupials & Reptiles. We also learn how to identify bird life and what they feed on, most of them congregate near water holes or rivers but not necessarily means they live there. Mum & Dad must be bush people in their last life, travelling & living in the bush with primitive people did help too. This morning we learn to track (of all things) CROCODILES.! As most places we camp, there's rivers, creeks, lakes & water holes so mum & dad feel that we should know what to see & what to look for.(Just like your show) but at the same time to be aware that we weren't the one that's being watch by the CROCODILES. Different odours tell a different story, tracks & markings on the river banks can basically tell us how big they are or whether it's fed or just basking in the sun. It is so very interesting that I ( Nikkei) would like to be a National Park Ranger, which also means that I have to go back to school. Have to think about that! It is currently 2.35 am here, not quite sure where we are but we're just in the outskirt of the Bungle Bungle. We got your email, thank you and Nellei will reply when she get some connection. Rylie is mesmerize by the amount of stars in the night sky. There's billions of it & very clearly seen due to no artificial light. Mum & Dad is asleep now like normal folks. Catch you later mate. Greetings & warm hugs from us. Nikkei, Nellei & Rylie.

      Hello girls, so glad that you're enjoying your vacation and that you're all still safe? Tell me can the Crocs read human tracks and count to three or are they still just counting to two😉 That's all such interesting info, thanks for sharing that here. National park rangers play a huge role in ensuring the survival and care of the wildlife and I think that's a very honourable calling. Sweet sleep and chat soon, C

    The way you keep talking about tracking someone who has resources you need sounds a bit nefarious like you are planning to hunt them down and rob them. Can you pease clarify if you are referring to recover stolen property or if it is an attempt to trade/barter or make some sort partnership/alliance or is it to rob someone of their belongings in some sort of disaster/emergency situation?

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. I don't plan to track anyone, I'm just sharing the skills. Each person would have to answer that in their own situation. Obviously I'm not advocating for harming other people. Like I said tracking can help us to search for and rescue people, or in a disaster you may need resources that someone else has. How you go about bartering or asking for it would be up to you. As you suggest, recovering stolen property would also be on some people's agendas, maybe just not the wisest course of action.
