BUG OUT FALLBACK SYSTEM | How to pack a Get Home Bag | Primary Bug In | Alternate Bug In | BUG OUT

  • How to set up a bug out system. A bug out bag alone is not enough, we need a bug out system. Planning your route to your bug out destination means a fool-proof bug out system that helps you to get to your primary bug in destination using your get home bag and ultimately allows you to travel to alternate bug in destinations, or to bug out if necessary. In this way we can prepare ourselves for the no buy, no sell period and to exit Babylon.
    Bugging out should be your last resort, but it is also the situation where you will be called on to use the most skills and have the least resources. Make sure that you have prepared your bug out system every step of the way.
    In this video I discuss the following

    I stumbled across your channel today and have enjoyed all of the videos I have watched so far. So much practical information without the sensationalism that so many channels use to bait in numbers. Whether the end starts tomorrow, or He lets us hang out for another couple thousand years, there is no such thing as a completely safe place left on this socially shrinking planet and being prepared for the unexpected should be a standard practice for all of us. Your videos are a great example of how to exercise wisdom and practicality without having to resort to the extremism and scare-tactics that others lean toward. I am definitely making some modifications to my existing systems after reviewing several of your videos. Thank you for sharing your insight and with any luck, we'll never have to need to bug out, in or anywhere in between (but we'll be better prepared now if we do).

      Hello William thanks so much for your message. Where in the world are you watching from? I'm really grateful for your feedback. There are so many believers who have not seen the need to prepare, but when we think of Noah and Joseph, God's instructions to them were to prepare. As a result we are here today. I do believe the time is running out, and even if we need to bug out it will only be for a short period. We know who has already won the battle. All the best with your prepping, and feel free to share your recommendations here, some other people also read the comments and may also find value in any suggestions you have. Have a super day, C.

      @@LiveReady I'm in Texas. The best part of faith is knowing that whatever happens will be short term, in that He will redeem all things in the end. And I totally understand why so many believers lean on that and trust that there is no reason to be prepared. But even if we are still as far away from the end as the disciples were as they stood around watching him ascend, the reality of the Church being persecuted and the liberty in worship we (especially in the west) take for granted as being something that no one can take away is slipping every day. And while I pray it never happens, being ready for it and just life in a fallen world in general is just plain smart. Society is more fragile than we think and desperate people will act in ways they would never imagine to meet the needs of themselves and their families. Not to mention engines break, people get lost, technology fails and we all need to have a more basic understanding of how to do something as simple as stay alive and get home. Keep up the great content. Maranatha... but until then, live ready!

      @@TheWacman7 Thanks so much for this William, I get goosebumps at the anointing as what you've said is so in line with what the Spirit has placed on my heart. I'm so grateful for the confirmation and for people like you who I know will stand together when God calls upon us. I'm excited that I know the time is drawing near, even though as you say the disciples would have felt it too. When it happens we can only be grateful that God will have prepared us physically, mentally and spiritually and we will give Him all the glory.

    It all makes sense, you have diffently done your homework. From what I have seen when it comes time to bugout, others are doing the same, so it can get crowded out around water sources. Personally I believe in being heavily armed, no need to explain why. I also believe a good pot, and pan, althought it can be heavy is worth the weight. I must say I really enjoy your presentations, thank you for sharing.

      Hi there! Thanks for stopping in to comment. We've also recently learnt the value of a small lightweight cooking set, that and a tiny grid for grilling things over the fire. I used to just have a little pot that I carted around. We had the idea of doing a wild camp with our bug out bags to see what we were short. Keep an eye out for that next video. As far as acquiring and defending wilderness resources go, I think your arms are going to be essential. That movie, The book of Eli, comes to mind. Thanks so much for watching, C.

      @@LiveReady I look forward to watching you all on the trial run, for me it seems the bugout issue becomes a balance of what is really needed, and weight. For instance should I carry one water filter or two, if you have had one fail in the field you will know the answer. What knife should be carried, large, small, light, heavy, or how about an axe, saw, or can I do without? Is a shovel needed, holes matter, from hiding, sanitation, to burying bodies. Firearm choice, shotgun, semi auto rifle, and, or pistol, weight of weapon, and ammo can be an issue, distance in shot placement, how to carry yet be discrete, hunting and, or defense, if defense, will cover fire be needed?
      Imagine being absolutely tired, hungry, thirsty, filthy, and scared because you, and your family are being hunted, while having to carry your life saving gear. What would that look like, less might be more, and durability vs weight may come into play. Being hunted may change the weapon choice, or it maybe a situation where you and yours need to hunt them, what would that take? It really is hard to duplicate, the actual possible senerio one may end up in, but as the old saying goes, plan for the worst, and I would make that the absolute worst, and hope the for best, and keep the solutions simple, yet repeatable. Your Faith will be the most important tool, knowledge, mindset, and then equipment. The trials will come in maintaining, and protecting your family/team, trust of others can be an issue as well, especially when resources become tight, the Good Book can give you guidance on this. Again I really enjoy your content, it is well thought out, you do a great job on presentation, it is apparent God is in your life. Thanks for taking the time to share. May God alway bless you and your Family.

      @@DF4Trap Thanks so much hey. I totally agree with you, plan for the worst, and even if it's hard to replicate the scenario we can always just try our best, God will be there to fill in where we fail. I think caches are a great idea. It allows us to store all these extra things we might need but can't carry. I just thought about the relevance of a medical cache. Anyway, thanks for sharing your ponderings, it's good food for thought.

    Your system, is like a mirror of my older system! I notice it was getting too heavy, so I begun to buy lighter gear,to replace some of the existing ones, as also, I removed all the gear, that wasn't the most essentiial. So, in a couple of months period, thinking what would be a luxury and not so important, I removed a lot. That, along with the lighter replacements, made my system 5kg lighter, which was huge difference. Now it's at 10kg (Backpack) and 2kg around my waist. Those 2kg are the most important, that should always be attached on us. (Water, multitool, lighter, Flashlight etc) Keep it up, your mindset is spot on! You're doing a great job!

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Thanks for this. Out of curiosity what did you end up removing? We did a night hike and wildcamp with our bug out bags recently (next video), and I also packed then removed a whole bunch of stuff. We needed to carry a lot of water and that out me at 16kgs. People who have kids, elderly or pets will end up carrying some of their things too so it's good to know how much you can carry for how long. It has also sparked more of an interest in ultralight weight gear here with us. A fun outing and experiment. I like your idea of a waist belt with the necessities! Thanks for watching, C

    • @greekveteran2715

      @@LiveReady I removed inexperience, with knowledge and experience. Weight, is the most important aspect here and I'm glad you noticed that. I got rid of all the tools and anything that felt heavy. No need for many or heavy fixed blades, got rid off a couple extra fixed blades and all heavy tools, like pliers, Bolt cutters etc.
      I replaced bolt cutters, with knowledge.
      Removed, all steel cookware. Titanium pot is enough. I got rid of the extra water bottles ( I got a belt bottle, for an extra 500-700ml water, that will be always on me) as also 1.5 lt plastic bottle that we by from supermarkets etc and are the lightest bottles out there. Got rid of any heavy food. Noodles are superlight!
      I made my first aid kit lighter, kept only vital stuff, no need for a heavy tourniquet, when a ton of other gear I curry, can do the job in a pinch.
      I'll give you the best tip. Just think, what our grandfathers needed, when they where out in the field to survive. They did survive, and did it better than us. Now, copy what they did and how they did it!
      I wish I could share more, but internet, is the only place I would never do that.

      @@greekveteran2715 Thanks for this. I agree, our forefathers managed with much less. But in some instances they were also trying to create the tools that we now have access to. I'll keep what they would have wanted. Knowledge is a person's most important asset and skill the most vital tool. Like you say, more skill equals less equipment needed. For all the things we may need but can't carry we can always bury some caches and hope we have the opportunity to reach them.

All the others, even the most famous ones, break either on first use, or a bit later. That's the only reliable one,I could find.

    Quick tip, keep a bug out bag at home and a get home kit in your car. Having a bug out bag in the car can be dangerous because your car may get broken into and it could get stolen. I had mine in the trunk, and it was stolen out of my trunk. Quite a bit of care and money went into that bag, and now it belongs to someone else. Don't keep your favorite gear in the car, and be aware of high temperatures in the vehicle as well (avoid keeping water in plastic jugs, for example.) Chocolate can melt, equipment can get damaged, etc. Same thing for lower Temps.

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Hannah, thanks for your comment. To clarify, in this video I talk about a get home bag that travels with you, into and out of your car. It should basically be your EDC (but it's not your bug out bag). In your car you can keep a cache to resupply your get home bag. At home you keep a bug out bag, as your home would be your primary bug in location and if you have to leave there, it would be to travel to an alternate bug in location or to bug out (in which case you would need a bug out bag). I'm sorry to hear your BOB got stolen. You're right we spend so much time preparing it just to lose it to someone else. But maybe God had a plan for that person to get a bag and He needed you to prepare it for them all along. Perhaps ask God if he will replace it for you, someone recently told me they keep getting BOB gifts from people and God is putting a bag together for them. C

Even for something as simple as a flood or house fire I think it's practical advice. I feel sorry for the Ukrainians, I really do hope some of them prepared as much as they could. Anyways, at least there are people like you who 'get it' too. Thanks for this, share your advice with others, at some point someone out there will find it helpful. C

    Brilliant video, my kit may not be as excessive as yours but I am sure it will draw the line between life and death. Double up systems are a must, and placing a cache needs careful planning. Also, location needs to be determined prio to and sufficient research done. For example, I look at three different locations. All of them qualify according to certain criteria
    Second point I want to share, the possibility of like-minded communities forming, is not excluded, and I have done some work on such a philosophy. Your system is quite sufficient, but it falls a bit short to a total bug out system/ plan/ kit I have worked on. Happy to share.
    Thanks for this. As I have said in a previous comment, a lot more people need to be minded this way.

    6:26 *AIR GUN* Air pistols typically come in . 177 or . 22 caliber. Air guns are designed to shoot BBs,
    *pellets* or sometimes both using air-powered propulsion such as small CO2 air tanks. Air Guns use pellets that are much smaller than bullets.
    *BB GUN* is a type of air gun designed to shoot metallic spherical projectiles called BBs.
    BBs are usually made of steel and therefore tend to ricochet much more than pellets.
    BBs are usually used for plinking in the backyard. Because BBs are round they are not very aerodynamic and therefore are not very accurate which make them less than ideal for hunting or pest control.

    I was particularly interested in that your gear included a crossbow instead of a firearm. Sometimes we forget that in primitive situations primitive tools work best.
    You comments about cooperation were also excellent points. The “survival” instruction I received from Cody Lundin always stressed team work in any emergency situation. Unless extremely well educated and experienced the Lone Wolf is at a disadvantage compared to members of a Wolf Pack.

To be honest there are other tarps that in retrospect I would probably also consider as they have tie downs in the middle of the tarp, so shop around a bit, but usually anything made of polyester and coated with silicone and polyurethane PU is good to go. You teach me things I don't know and confirm things I collected out of my own without even knowing other people also consider them useful, I know it's weird but condoms are insanely useful because it has so many uses like to collect water even build a water filter, it can stretch and if you really have to it can even be used to cut of circulation in order to stop bleeding if you don't have a proper medical kit, the list goes on and on hahahaha 😉 Good luck.

      @acefrost2845 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LiveReady yeah because it stretches it can even be used as a net, like a plastic bag (big plastic black trash bags, also useful as a raincoat shelter and to place thing you want to keep dry like your bag or wood) you make some holes for the water tie it and make sure there is stick in the middle to hold it up and place the bait inside, easy to catch fish that like dark places. You can use a condom to keep your tinder dry, for food can use it to make a slingshot (kettie), not only as a tourniquet but also as a glove to avoid getting someone blood on you yet not too effective but can be used as a bandage as well if you have gaze and no more bandages or just a small piece of clothing as gaze or make a splint for your finger , protect you guns muzzle from dirt and sand or water from going in or a small revolver, it may save your life also it can be used as a fishing bobber as longs as the list is I am sure there are still many other uses for it.
      PS. a Condom is not very durable so keep in mind if you use it to carry water place it somewhere safe in a pice of clothing or bag because a blade of grass or dropping it can cause it to break. Keep away from fire.

    I do recommend a pair of Merrell hiking boots. i walk gas lines for a living. They are high quality and the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. they protect your ankles better as well. I have had them for little over a year walking on average 4 to 10 miles a day and one boot has finally had a blow out on the side but they are still working just fine lol it is time for a new pair though.

So when you retire the old ones maybe stash them in your BOB so if you have to evacuate in a hurry, you have some reliable shoes to change into. Thanks so much for adding your recommendation here. C

I must have been quite the sight, decidedly not going to run just yet but looking like I would stand my ground, knife in one hand and the Byrna in the other. He stopped dead in his tracks, probably out of surprise, crouched on his haunches in the bush and waited there. Gave me time to get away. Its better than getting caught empty handed but if he was armed and decided to shoot at me for whatever reason I would have been in trouble. A bit of a gamble. C

      @@LiveReady ...Hi Mrs. C:)
      First of all I'm new to the chanel. I'm into survival and prepping for some years now...
      I like the way you explain in detail/depth. Here and there I get good tips and ideas that are new to me and that is something useful for me. What a like about your channel is that you really live what you teach. Thanks for your work.
      So to Germany:
      About 1 month ago the maximum heat temperature at home for this winter is being regulated though the government, so that people can't make the apartment/house as hot as they want to, to save gas in this way. The temperature is regulated...haha:))
      It is not in every city like that but in many.
      The mainstream newspapers speak about Blackout openly because of natural Gas shortege that could lead to the power/ electricity being shut down.. they also say that it could happen because of the north stream 1 and 2 desaster.
      The German Bundeswehr (Army) is prepping for a possible nukliar strike of Russia against Ukraine. Nato said that if that happens they will react very hard. Because we are a Nato State direkt next to Poland- and Poland is on the frontline to Ukraine- of course the Germany army has a total different role now as a army then before the Ukraine war (Army prepping for war in Europe)
      A new version of "COVID" is "spreading and people are starting to go back to wearing masks in the supermarket even though it is not mandatory yet. This madness is starting again.
      And of course the US is sending massive troops to Germany because it is an important strategic point in Europe for the war against Russia- that makes us a good target in a war:(
      We had a sabotage on the main Deutsche Bahn Railway and that left large routs of the Railway for hole day dead (transport). They didn't say who it was but the government/media said it was indeed sabotage. The broken North Stream 2 was called Sabotage to- of course it will stay a big question who really distroyed it...
      Yesterday there was an article in the German newspaper that said: ' After the sabotage on the Railway and the north stream 2- the German Army/Nato needs to consider building up stronger counter terrorism/sabotage measures in critical points like airports and harbours...'
      So there is really a lot going on out of a millitary site.
      The TH-camr "Canadian Prepper" also has made a video talking about this matter.
      We will see what will happen. I think WW3 is not far. Ahh of course: There was a tarrible drought this summer. Half of the crops were distroyed in some regions in Germany. The Rhein (big river) was at its lowest point I think since counting record of it.. the parks here looked like a desert...the gras was dead like I have never seen before in my 37 years of life I have seen many things...but this drought made me really afraid. Normally it rains a lot here.
      Stay strong... 'In God We Trust'

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mr.Miyagi907 Yes in God we trust indeed. If you read the book of Revelation and Matthew 24 together with the book of Daniel in the Bible we start to get a good idea of what is coming. @LiveReady  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, so nice to hear from you. I would look for a sleeping bag that is rated for comfort at a few degrees less than your minimum outdoor temperature in winter. They are usually bulky but if there is one piece of gear worthwhile lugging around its a sleeping bag and a decent thermal base layer. It's not easy to improvise a good sleeping system in the wild, especially in extreme temperatures. I would recommend carrying no more cash than what you would need for two days of food and transport. I also carry some small pieces of precious metal, they're heavier but if you're unable to use cash some people may be willing to barter for valuables or medication. C.

      Hi Bevak, thanks for your comment. I absolutely agree with you. But I don't think anyone carries a sleeping bag to work with them every day. For home defense there is no better option than a Rapid Fire Tactical Crossbow (besides a firearm of course) even with just the field tip bolts they are more than capable of being a viable home defense tool, no other crossbow type is good for home defense unless you have one attacker/intruder ONLY and you already have the crossbow in a cocked state and you know that you won't miss wen you pull the trigger, you also need to be sure the first shot is going to mortally wound the attacker/intruder because that one shot is all you have, compare that to being able to take 7 accurate potentially lethal shots in under 20 seconds with a Rapid Fire Tactical Crossbow. let's talk about survival quickly, a self cocking 80lbs crossbow is perfectly capable of effectively and ethically hunting small to medium game at reasonable distances. And there is no way that you are going to be hunting big game in a survival or bug out situation or any other SHTF scenario. Plus it's compact and easy to maneuver with. In any place where firearms are restricted or difficult to get a self cocking 80 lbs crossbow with a magazine system is the only and most logical home defense option. Would you use a knife do defend your self? Well now you have the ability to stab with greater force than you can generate with your arms and a knife, and it's from a distance too, if a person cannot see the value of a system like that for home defense then that person is mentally deficient.
    Have a look on my channel for my Rapid Fire magazine system coupled with the Tactical Crossbow MK TCS2 (Alligator)
    Affordable, reliable and effective. I have sent literally thousands of shots through my system without error or failure.

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hallo Alan, I think this is a question that many people have. Why would we have to live in this broken world if God wants only the best for us? The answer is quite simple. Love cannot be forced. If you force it, it is not love. So because God loves us, He allows us to choose to love Him back. Unfortunately many choose not to, and their lives bear the fruit of this decision. Because we live in a fallen and broken world, after the sin fall, God has to redeem humanity. This is the purpose of Jesus' death on the cross. However, that doesn't mean that we do not have to bear the consequences of our own actions. Every person makes mistakes and has to bear the consequences. God's ultimate plan is to renew the world, before you can renew anything, the old version has to come to an end. The devil will see to this, God is giving him enough rope to hang himself, and exactly at the right time, God will come to judge all humanity, and those who's names are found in the book of life will be renewed and found in the new kingdom. C

LOL I can't say I know everything about Jesus, but I know more than the bible. People are the same in every age and use code words to talk about illicit things in front of authority. Maybe you've heard of Mary Jane from the 60s? Just as the hippies from the 60s smoked Mary Jane, no one was burnt at the stake... And when people ate and drank Jesus, there was no cannibalism...

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alanweber675 We is live in a fallen world. This is our own doing, not how God intended it (we were given a choice and this is the consequence). Because we all make mistakes and disobey Him from time to time, we have to suffer the consequences of our decisions. Take the example of a child and a parent. The parent wants the best for their child. The child, being part of a fallen world, will without a doubt make mistakes despite the parent's best attempts to guide them to success. When the child makes mistakes they need to bear the consequences of their decisions as this helps them to learn not to make the same mistake repetitively, even though the parent still loves them and will continue to try and guide them. God is in the position to not only continually guide us despite our flaws, but when the appointed time comes, and there is an appointed time, God will judge us and still find us worthy of His perfect love and redemption because of Jesus' sacrifice. The wages for sin are death, we deserve eternal damnation. We should be repaid with everlasting suffering and death. But Jesus paid our wages, so though we live in this world with its challenges, ultimately we will still be redeemed because Jesus paid the price for our sin. Even so, we will bear the consequences while we are part of this world, hereafter, instead of damnation we receive eternal life. We should not think ourselves better than anyone or anything in this world though, we are not worthy but for Jesus' sacrifice. We make it this way and should take responsibility for our actions. We will have to suffer like every other person, but God has ensured that we can still be forgiven. I hope this explains things a bit better to you, I know those can be burning questions. C

    • @LiveReady
      @LiveReady  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alanweber675 you're right there was no cannibalism involved in communion, the bread and wine are symbolic of of Jesus's body and blood sacrificed for us, certainly not literal. As for the scriptures, there are many writings in other religious holy books as well as in archeological findings especially in Egypt that attest to the scriptural content of the Bible. Even so, I do believe that God ensured that His word was written to encompass truth and we need no evidence but His spirits' conviction. I'm an empirical person, I have the habit of insisting on proof. The proof that we look for though won't be found in the world. The only one who can prove what we seek is the great I Am. He will prove what you seek. You will have to ask Him to reveal this truth to you, and if you truly seek the truth then you will find it in Him. You will understand this better once you have opened your heart to Him. C
