since i learned about the radio payola, i consciously turn off my car radio and instead i stream BTS music. BTS has become the soundtrack of my life. They are the only reason i have premium accounts.
I am ARMY since 2019 and proud of it.

@@naniluv1_liveLmao, you don't know in Spotify when BTS released "Butter" the filtering rate was 47%, that's literally nearly HALF of their streams not counted
But when Taylor Swift released her song "Anti-Hero", her filtering rate was only 1%.
      How is that even fair?
If Spotify haven't filtered half of BTS streams, BTS should have the highest debut streams NOT Taylor Swift.
This is what you get when you don't have the Industry on your side.

@@naniluv1_liveAnother one is Jimin's Like Crazy vs. Miley's Cyrus Flower.
Like Crazy has 0% radiospins so the general public never heard of it, while "Flower" by Miley Cyrus which has been top 1 in Billboard during that time has 301.1M radiospins, while it was popular because of ridiculous amounts of radiospins in reality it barely have any real sales.
      Compared that to Jimin's case.
Though the Industry never gave him any radiospins resulting in 0%, he still managed to get no.1 on BB merely relying on his sales. Cause his streams unfairly also have the highest filtering rate.
      Anyways, back to his sales.
When BB deliberately changed rules just so they can delete 90% of his sales to kick him off the charts.
He still has the highest US sales among the top 10. Cause the gap between him & the second was still huge.
The second only has 12K sales, while Jimin still has 14K sales (even when all of that is just 10% of his actual sales) 😅
As a result, when BB tried to sabotage him by giving him 0% radiospins, highest filtering rate on Spotify, deletion of millions of views in YT & 90% deletion of his sales.
Billboard still did not manage to kick him off BB top 50.
Which is INSANE if you really think about it. Cause not even the so called biggest artist today like Taylor Swift can ever pull that off.
Imagine TS having 0% radiospins, 90% deletion of her sales, and highest filtering rate. She won't be able to enter top 500 at all. Not alone top 50.
But while Jimin was being ridiculed for having the quickest and biggest fall on BB history ever. From no.1 to no.48 real quick, I on the other hand just find BB ridiculous for seeing him as a threat, considering he has no intention at all topping BB.

The US is the largest market so that is why billboard is a player. Another obvious example of BB & AMA was they had a social artist award that Bieber won 5 years in a row and BTS was about to tie it after him with 4 in a row so what did they do? They deleted the category & award so now Bieber still holds and gets to claim the record. It really is shameful. 😕

Yes & BBMA just last year for 2023 created 4 new kpop categories and did not nominate any BTS or BTS members for main categories unlike previous years. A big one for me was Suga's album under his alter ego Agust D's album "D-Day" being a rap tour but nominated as a kpop tour. The album was released in April 2023 and in May Billboard themselves wrote an article about "D-Day" album topping the Billboard Rap Album Charts, they themselves wrote about his "Rap Tour" and yet when award season came around several months later instead of putting him in the Rap Tour category when Suga broke multiple records for his concert like the "Only Rapper in US History to earn 3Million in a Single Arena Concert" reported by International Business Times they put him in the Kpop Tour category. Sadly, army knew this was coming when American Award shows started creating Kpop categories back in 2019 and now every single major American Awards show has Kpop categories but they did this solely to keep BTS out of the main categories. This was what American Awards shows did to Latin pop years before to segregate them from the main categories so they wouldn't compete with "western artists" or their industry darlings and now it's happening with the Kpop categories. Unfortunately, the western industry have been using the kpop label as a tool to other BTS and separate them even when the project isn't or shouldn't be labeled "kpop" which is an industry not a genre of music in the first place. Jungkook's album "Golden" was produced and written all by American Producers, it was recorded in the States, it was called a pop album and was all in English. The only thing that was Korean was the singer's race/nationality but Spotify and all the major streaming platforms labeled it kpop only.

Wait at least 24h (you can record your reaction on the day and upload it later). Any Army who wants to argue that the 24h rule is not a thing anymore..., it is! In fact, it's even too short.

Just to clarify something, in order to count for the Billboard hot 100 chart, the sales have to come from the US. So it's not just overseas fans buying BTS's music, it's US ARMY too.
Billboard has other charts, like the BB global 200 for example, that would take into consideration global stats, but the hot 100, which was a focus of this video, only counts US sales, streams, and radio.

The amount of sabotages BTS' members have received especially when they starting promoting as soloists is crazy and SO unfair.
Billboard keep changing the rules every time they get a hit and they are the only ones that end up falling from the charts while the others stays the same. BTS barely gets radio points and the other artists under American labels get millions because of payola... and yeah some may be real but it's sus when their sales and streams don't match it all.
How is that the general public being basically forced to listen to certain songs due to the industry's tactics is more organic than fans listening to their favorite artists whenever they want? How is that the majority of these artists that get #1 all the time can't really do stadium tours like Bangtan or even sold out arenas?
I'm sorry but the fact radio airplay now weight more than real people streaming and buying songs makes no sense to me.
AND we are basically getting robbed because wdym 90% of Jimin's the sales were deleted? This is real people's money, efforts to support.
And the saddest and most frustrating thing is that armys always try to show to the world this issue but we get zero response. The general public ignore us because it's BTS and ignoring because they are of racist and xenophobic too. Why BTS gets all that unprovoked hate? Like bro all the sht the industry is doing is so wrong and that can affects small artists as well.. If things like this would happen to an American artist or a white artist, people would react differently and unite to complain too (it has happened before with 5sos), but because it's about BTS, an Asian group, people chooses to ignore all the corruption. That's disgusting.
No matter how much they change their rules and try to drag them down, we will not allow that and after all, Bangtan doesn't need their help to increase streams. They are the ones that can really sold out stadiums in minutes globally. Like I said, BTS and Army only have each other and we both have gone though so many hardship but always find the way to keep going. We will adapt and find the way to keep BTS at the top and make them succeed as always because they deserve it.
We shouldn't think much about this but it is really frustrating and the best thing we can do is not ignore this issue, that would be like helping them to destroy Bangtan.
I'm not saying that a number or getting certain awards will define how good they are because this is a corrupt industry, but giving them this things are a way of showing our support and reciprocate our love to them because BTS have already gave us so much happiness, strength and comfort with their music, messages, content and more. 💜

die hard fans are good for longevity, casual fans or GP is good for a momentarily high
when bts release music, army always work to involve and introduce GP to bts. first, more unique listeners lowers the filtering, second, it rises the attention to the release and works as a snowball, third, more streams is never bad, forth, some people become army that way, so it's a recruitment too lol
all of that is good for a release time
but what keeps bts all time high, not just high when it's hyped, is army. we are the never ending engine of support and promotion. even now, when bts are on a break and all members are enlisted, their stats are still flying, the awards are still won, because we stay as we once promised

I genuinely don't understand why is radio a qualifying mentric
chart is supposed to show the most popular songs, right? then it should measure people's active and voluntarily involvement, aka streams and sales
radio is not decided by the listener. it never is. it doesn't even matter if the radio was paid for or not, it is NEVER decided by the listener what is played there in the majority of time
so why is it even counted

Giving BTS a bad reputation is good way to do it
Lately there's boycott going on, then there's another accusations about BTS buying awards from 2015-2017 (which doesn't make sense considering they're not even from any top agency) BTS at that time were very broke.

The industry doesn't like BTS because BTS doesn't need them. BTS doesn't have to pay to play. They are one of the biggest artists in the world and it's no thanks to "the industry" which is why "the industry" doesn't do anything to support/help BTS (like play their music on the radio). But that's ok. The power of ARMY is more powerful then "the industry"!!!! Wouldn't you be scared if you were "the industry" and the largest group in the world didn't need you to be successful. BTS has gained all of their fans organically and ARMY is the most diverse fan base I've ever seen. I don't know of any other artist who has fans from 5 years old to 75 years old! I only watch documentaries and BTS content on TH-cam. And my biggest dream is to be at one of their concerts in 2025/2026. Of course, I like other artists too, Chinese, greek, Canadian, classical music, but I have never bought albums or felt the connection I feel with BTS. The industry has nothing to do between BTS and army. We have our own world. That's something they will never be able to understand.

the sly part about spotify is that for the total streams counter of each song they use unfiltered streams
but filtered streams is the number that will place you on the spotify charts
and the filtering system is, guess what, not transparent
we adjust to filtering by trial and error, experimenting to see what the system reacts to
but in general, it's just another tool to manipulate who is going to be high on charts. if you don't want someone there, turn up their filtering percentage
still remember butter being filtered by 47% (from 20m streams to 11m streams) and it never getting that first place on spotify global, bc Olivia thr industry sweetheart was there lol
filtering is casual for us atp
Permission to Dance had 46% filtered, Dynamite 38%, Closer Than This 46%, Take Two 24%, Seven 20%
Like Crazy, that this essay was built around, had 17% filtering

The reason why American charts are important is because US is the biggest music industry in the world. Songs on top of the charts in America become popular in the whole world whereas songs popular in other countries, even in the second biggest industry(japan) are only popular in their countries or maybe a few others outside US. This is of course not a problem for BTS because they’re already popular world wide but the point is that they’re actually also popular in America but the industry here isn’t willing to recognize that and actively work to suppress them and thats where this disconnect is created. It’s not fair! BTS reveals the rotten core of corruption that without them would stay hidden or ignored.

I enjoy watching reactions especially BTS reaction so I searched for reactions on daily basis. However most of the times, the result is zero and I can only find it after few days, few weeks or even few months. It's very frustrating.
I also never encountered ads on BTS music nor I be suggested on them.

yeah it's not fair, she just means that with spotify and yt we at least have some organic ways to achieve what we want anyway, but with radio there's no listener involvement, we have no way to influence it
armys were trying to win over radio for years ever since bts entered us market
armys were (and are) requesting bts songs all the time, armys were sending letters, flowers, cakes to the radio stations asking to please give bts some air time, it doesn't work. djs laugh at us, ridicule us, paint us as deranged fans and when we respectfully disagree they start mocking bts too. and they after all they dare to say "maybe if you treated djs well, you'd get your group played" as if we never tried
bts know our efforts too, they are aware of the work armys do to promote them, they've talked about it. they are frustrated as well

Unrelated to your video, do you know why BTS's fanbase is continually growing? Because ARMYs will not hesitate to promote or support them on a regular basis. Even if people despise them, they would still suggest BTS. "I don't give a damn, listen to BTS; they are worth it... Ohh you hate them? Anyways listen to their new song blah blah blah." Lol That's why, aside from the fanbase, general or casual people would listen to BTS because of the excitement the ARMYs would give them (those casual listeners end up stanning them). ARMYs are so active and widespread that you may find them on every platform. Even in the middle of a desert, you'll hear someone say "BTS RELEASES NEW SONG!! YOU Shall WATCH IT!!" or simply "BTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS", GOSH i LOVE THIS FANDOM. So please don't ever question why BTS is always on #1 because, in addition to their tactics, ARMYs have their own tactics, which include streaming, supporting, and even recommending BTS to those who don't know them. Even people who aren't into music have been dragged to listen to BTS.
