I didn't see this answered, though you probably know by now - Yes, they are all in the military right now. Yes, they chose to all go together in order to come back to ARMY and get back to work quicker. No other group has ever done that. There is a bit of staggered entry, with Jin going first, then j-hope. So they are getting back first. Suga went a little earlier than the rest too, but he is getting back around the same time, because he has to serve a bit longer. He is doing civil service (desk job) because of his old shoulder injury/surgery so had to serve a bit longer. Jin is coming back next month (June!) Hobi (j-hope) is due back in October. The rest return in Summer 2025.

The meaning behind this song is hilarious actually. Pied piper is based on a children's book where a city was infested with rats so they called a piper to play music on his pipe and lure the rats away. The piper demaned that the city pay him but the city refused so in turn he played his pipe and lured all the children away and he and the children were never seem again. So basically BTS are the pipers and army are the children. They tell us that they understand fandom culture can be addictive and it is easy to get caught up in it and be lured away from your real life. So they tell us to stop analysing their videos and lyrics and focus on ourselves for once and not be the children who were lured away by the piper. Theyre minors and its pretty common to debut minors in kpop so the music wont be adult like cause of their ages. Its mainly to reduce the sexualisation of the artists but the entertainment industry is a scary place and sadly some of them are still very much exposed to predators. A lot of people dont like the fact that minors debut but its highly unlikely that it will change.
