Very interesting. I thought the Boss bass thing was pretty bad. It seemed to create two separated tones - an extra bassy boosted tone, and a high distortion tone, with no connecting mid range. I probably liked the OCD best for coherence, but the Mooer was tasty in a polite way.
Ocd crushed it. Don't know if you're finagling with settings to hype the OCD, but the OCD sounded GOOD. Second vid of yours, really great analysis, great ratio of talk to listening, great scope of the analysis (not just 2 pedals, not 10). Man, just left a comment on the first vid of yours that I've seen, you are doing it way right, when almost all are doing it way wrong. I know you won't get anything for it (except less sleep), but I'd really like to see more vids just like these two from you. Keep it up man.
My OCD is super amazing on my bass rig. The sound is beautiful and honestly, it's the best gain sound I have heard from a distortion. I highly recommend the OCD as a go-to bass distortion.
Nice demo. The OCD is a well known crossover pedal and is pretty great. The toggle switch switches between HIgh peak and Low Peak; it’s not very self explanatory though. On the other hand the Boss ODB3 is also quite capable although you have to know how to tweak it. I normally use mine with very conservative settings, like the blend/mix and gain knobs, and it sound very good.
There's no one size fits all when we talk about overdrive on bass. I use a Sansamp, a Darkglass Vintage Microtubes, a Boss ODB3 and a Darkglass B3K. I love my Sansamp for tone shaping and a hint of overdrive... But for high gain settings, meh... The Vintage Microtubes delivers an excellent old school tone and you can't ask it for more than that. The Darkglass B3K has become my favorite pedal for high gain metal tone because its clarity and definition in high gain settings . . The Boss ODB3 is a very underrated pedal because it can deliver low gain old school kind of tones and high gain distortion sounds of you need them (but it doesn't have that clarity I Like). You can get them used for about 60 bucks and they're built like a tank. If you need a versatile bass overdrive and you're in a budget, Boss is your choice. According to the pedals which are in this video, OCD sounds awesome. If that guy spent more time tweaking the Boss ODB3 knobs the result may surprise.
The green mille is very good if you set the key to hot, tone almost to the maximum and moderate gain. In this mode the bass is not so compressed and still has the characteristic TS drive.
Boss Sounded the Best. It allowed More Clean Bass signal to pass thru - with the overdrive. Perhaps a parallel circuit ? The OCD is always a great choice too.
That Fuzz sounds kinda nice to My ear, quick reminder that im a weirdo who spends his time on either school or home without friends and only plays in E flat with three strings on an old harley Benton short scale which is discontinued played through an *Blackstar* FLY 3 bass stereo. also I listen to Metallica and Justice for all bass covers after i've listened Bach for an hour.
The Klon circuit for a pedal has to be usable with a bass guitar as a clean boost or transparent OD with modest gain that can be infused into the signal chain of tone ?
The Mooer Triangle Buff is the Fuzz of the EHX Big Muff Pi ? And in which case anything EHX Big Muff Pi is a "crossover" bass & electric guitar. That would include the Gilmourish Rams Head, Sovtek Civil War (Blue & Gray), Op Amp & Green Russian. EHX has gone as far as to make the Bass version of it's BMPi's. The Green Mile is a Ibanez Tube Screamer distortion. I have read that the Proco Rat is a pedal that is capable. Not far from the Rat, is a Crunchbox pedal, Marshall amp in a box. The biggest difference between the Rat & Cunchbox is the op amp. The Rat is the LM308. Mosky manufactures a pedal that uses the LM833 instead of the LM308.
Never use "bass" overdrives. My 1-2 punch for over 10 years is a TS9DX (modded to TS808 spec) on the "+" setting, and a RAT. To get really obnoxious, I'll stack them.
I don’t want to be that guy, but dude, the test is useless with that much gain. The Riot is a pedal with a ridiculous amount of gain even for guitar, you should start with the gain reaaaaally low to really hear if its even usable as a bass overdrive.
I like the "Hysteria" when you were testing the OCD
Joseph Wolfe yeah me too, it sounded like shit!

OCD was the best to my ears!

Woah that OCD sounds real good.
Yes it does! :-)

2:52 triangle buff is a straight up bass boost meme 😂

Actually the Green Mile sounds great
That riff he's doing sounds like Body Language!!
Boss Sounded the Best. It allowed More Clean Bass signal to pass thru - with the overdrive. Perhaps a parallel circuit ? The OCD is always a great choice too.
HE PULLED OUT THE HYSTERIA BOIS!!
Fuckin' favortie song right there. At least to play
That OCD sounded awesome!
The best part is that I already have the OCD on my guitar pedalboard
Was really surprised at how bad the bass overdrive sounded at least to my ears, the Riot and Green Mile were much nicer
I know the OCD sounds amazing. But what about Riot? It sounds great too.
OCD pedal has a great sound for a bass solo
Fulltone OCD kicks ass!

Are you high?
The OCD sounds great, but the kind of music I'm playing needs more of the Green Mile. Bass Overdrive is disappointing here
Yeah it is - fizzy, no meat, no weight! Thanks for watching!
im left handed too but i use right handed bass
He's right handed. When he changes settings on the pedals you can see its his right hand
When you turned the drive up all the way on the ocd it Ong sounded like something from doom ngl
What song are you playing at 1:50 it's so beautiful I wanna learn it
That's just some random chords! Feel free to use them ;-) Thanks for watching!

Will it damage my pedal if i use it for bass?
that suh riot sounds amazing
What song is 3:15
The only useable pedal is the Boss? Because you still had bass in it.
Mooer green mile sounds the best

OCD hands down
the ocd ones not too bad
Triangle buff.. 3o'clok tone, 12 o'clock sustain
OCD by default
ocd and mooer sound best. mooer would sound great through any fender tube
Time is running out by Muse on Moder Triangle Buff Overdrive

Green mile sounds like Motorhead
Isn't that bad for the pedal or something like that
What? Using it for bass instead of guitar? A pedal just manipulates your singal so no it doesnt
@@ColinBoonstra
A'right just wanted to make sure that I don't damage it.
Since I don't have the money to buy a new one.
@@partyjesus8625 you do have to put the level control so how loud the pedal is on the same volume as the amp itself so you dont damage your amp
@@ColinBoonstra
Alright thank you
Dont use solid state plugs and use flexible chords like what hes using instead and youll be good
No need to have electric guitarist!
Haha yes!
they all sounded terrible in this video
