I can't believe how muddy sounds the OC-5.

Honestly, I don't hear that much of difference. In transparency I have the Gen 3 version of the 18i8. But I am thinking of upgrading, and considering all options. I don't hear enough of a difference to justify the extra expense of the RME.

Been using a POG and split the output. Dry to a bass rig.... Then the EFF up into a pitchfork (set to a Fifth up).. That goes into a GT100 to a guitar amp.... Instant Rhythm guitarist....

bought it ,damn good for its price. i hope that .12 strings will work fine :) I will replace the tuners with Kluson MG33B. And put a graph tech saddle on.

@MadebyMiike thanks for your honesty, it's refreshing. This was a great review. I've been in search of a great, quiet compressor for some time and this seems perfect for what I need. I love the fact that it's quiet. That's a rare find with compressors. I would appreciate the ability to save presents as well

Look people….. when the bands cooking in a live situation,can you, the audience, or the drummer tell ? I very much doubt it.

best part of the superego is the fx send and return. always fun to run your pedalboard through it and manipulate your freeze with each turn of a knob from a different pedal in the loop

the strat with HSS, upgrade the humbucker to a Suhr asatobucker, for me it is the best

I actually bought a Tokai les paul style guitar as my first one, because i liked the heavier tones. I'll be getting a strat eventually, but the hss is probably the best option.

The Koa is bright and has great note separation, reminds me of Boston "More Than a Feeling" tone. The Mahogany has more warmth but is a little muddled in comparison. I like both. Great playing and demonstration of the 2 guitars!

Awesome video! Would be interested in hearing your review and a comparison between the mahogany and the Koa plus and what guitar might be the best for what persons and which one is your personal favorite out of the two!

The WA12 sounds way better in the full mix. Just lower the bass volume and add a little bit of low end to it and its perfect. The GA 573 gives the illusion it will sound better based on the low end of the individual tracks, then lacks depth and character when it comes to the full mix.

I don't think you could go wrong with any one of these pedals. Any difference could be remedied by adjusting the tone stack on the amp.

Man I wish I had seen your review a week ago before buying it and finding out that this is a useless pedal for a live setting. It may be usable for studio or home recording, but damn it loses volume whenever is turned on. I hope I can get a refund to get a better peace of gear instead...

People don’t realize that the smaller the speaker it’s automatically losing that feel because what makes big speakers feel so good is the fact that they are big 😂 So my point is get it or don’t you know what it does lol

Excellent shoot-out, especially putting a single track and full mix through them. Obviously there are tons of pres out there. I am curious if you or anyone commenting here has tried a Golden Age Project Pre-73 MKIII Mic Line Preamp?

best thing is to have both, wish either one was stereo capable though, that'd be great

DM-101 has the genuine BBD goo & chew but only a mono input and would very much benefit from a highpass or tilt filter to clean up those murky low-mids. Nemesis manages to balance a sound that's gone at least halfway to behaving and sounding similar to a BBD, but paired with digital advantages. The Halo is certainly a nice delay but nothing about the sound is very BBD-like, similar for the Strymon and Walrus was OK. Brian Wampler should stick to drive pedals. p.s. Empress Echosystem is an obvious no-show here, but an under$tandable omission.

I think the Mexican strat sounds a little brighter but the American sounds a tad warmer and fuller but to be completely honest they sound exactly the same to the most people I would have no doubt shout out to fender for the great guitars and Mike for the great guitar playing thanks for the video man.

I have a Timmy and love it, but I have to say Sugar Drive by a landslide from what i can hear. Always different watching a video from actually being in the room with it though.

They all sound good but man that blue one with maple fretboard is stunning 👌
