    Hello everyone,
In this video, we focus on an important type of illustration - isometric. The amazing Nastya Kuliábina shows us just how easy it is to create 3D designs using Vectornator's best-in-class isometric grid. But first, let's find out more about what these types of illustrations are.
Isometric illustrations are created with a style of drawing which uses a technique called isometric projection. With this technique, a three-dimensional object is replicated on a flat two-dimensional surface. That is where the isometric grid comes into play.
The isometric grid is an absolute game-changer for designers and illustrators. It enables creatives to create 3D work that really “pops,” takes your design game to the next level, but not importantly - it allows designers and illustrators to maintain consistency throughout their entire work.
In this isometric illustration guide, Nastya shows you how you can do that step by step, and truly leverage the power of this fantastic tool.
This video is part of a bigger series called Vectornator Design Tips, which is meant to help you become a better illustrator and designer. If this feels too advanced, check out our Dictionary video series which explains the basics of good design.

I had some problems splitting the stick… but otherwise quite happy with the final results ! thank you so much

Hello! That part is a bit tricky! Nastya opted for boolean operations, but you can also use the scissors tool instead. You can read more about it here: www.vectornator.io/learn/scissor-tool
Let us know if we can help you more specifically! Cheers! Thanks for writing and giving this a try

Go to View -> Grid. And then stay in View -> Grid Settings and select Isometric. You can read more about it here: www.vectornator.io/learn/mac-settings#using-grids

    Awful video quality.
The part with the stick is not understandable.

Oh sorry to hear that! Instead of applying a boolean operation, you can also use the Scissors Tool instead 🙌
What Nastya did was place the stick in the middle of the ice cream, duplicated the bottom of the ice cream, then placed the duplicate in the middle of the bottom shape.
She then extended the duplicate to include the lower part of the stick. Selected the duplicate and the stick -> applied Boolean Divide.
Now the lower part of the stick is divided from the upper. And all the extra shape around the duplicate is separated now and can be removed.
Copy & Paste style from the upper stick to the bottom stick. And then place the bottom stick in the back. Hope this helped ✌️
