I hope Tekken 8 gets a 2nd version because I honestly think it needs drastic changes. Their idea just doesn't work imo. What I think would be good for Tekken 8. Heat, let's address this bullshit. I think a good change would be when you're in rage (low HP) you now have access to heat engager moves. Only while you're low HP (they can tweak this state, maybe make it so the threshold is less, say 40% HP or something) If you go into heat either manually or with a heat engager, you're no longer in rage and don't have access to your rage art. This creates a choice between heat or a rage art. Think of it like rage drives in T7. This means you become DANGEROUS while you're low HP because you now have access to heat, a bunch of your moves get buffed because they're now heat engagers plus you do more damage while being in rage and have access to still imo a dumb mechanic, one button rage arts. Armor moves - All armor moves are mids and punishable, let's say -12. Fuck this high and safe armor move bs, oh you didn't duck my high armor move because I have 4, and they look similar? WELL IT'S SAFE :D nah, they're all mids and punishable and each character gets ONE. If you committed to an armor move because you thought I pressed something and I didn't? You get punished. They should NOT be panic moves, they should be reads/used during an opponent's slow strings. Bounds - Should only work at the wall, I like bounds/screws/tornados, whatever the fuck they want to call them. But I think if they only worked at the wall this would reward players with good execution who are able to get the most wall carry, this would also need to address some characters' absolutely absurd wall carry in this game. NO CHIP DAMAGE/RECOVERABLE HEALTH - This was just fucking stupid and needs to go. No block breaking moves - Fuck this man. Stop punishing defensive/patient play. OR just give us a Classic/Legacy mode that just removes all the bullshit and goes back to a T5 style game.
Aris the community rn hates the monitization, not the game. There are some balance issues to be sure, but if you read any negative reviews it will always talk about the monitization if not focus on it entirely. Namcos greed is the problem not the game.

the game is too mashy and does not have a good state of balance at the moment. the game can redeem itself with a proper character balancing patch, and toning down some of the core offensive changes (throws, chip damage, etc)
