So glad that everyone had a great end of summer vacay!! I will say right off I seen that pasta salad and now I think I have to make some.. Looked soo delicious!
Well I love spending time here with you and your beautiful family, so thank you for sharing. Your meals looked delicious, especially that Pasta Salad. I don't like to cook on vacation, but I know with a big family it's definitely easier on the pocketbook. When my daughter was little vacations were usually to the beach in Maine, my mom always came with us and we could eat pretty cheap, one big hoagie would feel all of us, or a small pizza, fries at the pier, and of course the obligatory hotdogs and hamburgers, food like that was cheap and more fun for my daughter. I'm glad you shared the meals with us, I think having a kitchen in your cabin must have made it a little easier all around. Oh and one last thing, could Emily be any cuter when she picked that flower for you, totally adorable. Thanks Lindsay!
Yes, bringing our own food was so much cheaper than eating, and healthier! And I didn't mind cooking because it was all easy meals and I knew exactly what we were having each day, so I didn't have to think about it. I always hear Americans talk about "hoagies" I don't think we have them in Canada. Having the kitchen definitely made it easier! The kids want to go back next summer. And yes, Emily with her flower, she melts my heart daily. She's saying so much more now, and putting sentences together. Soon enough you'll be experiencing that all over again. Have a great rest of your week!! ❤️
A hoagie is basically a sandwich on a long crusty roll of bread, much like Italian or French bread but they are thinner. Some people call them Subs, or Grinders and of course hoagies, I think that it all depends on where you are in the United States. My favorite is an Italian Hoagie with all of the Italian lunch meats, lettuce, cheese, pickles, peppers, tomatoes and a vinegar and oil dressing with lots of black pepper. @@mominthemaritimes
