Looks like you got a nice variety of things. I find that chocolate chips are pretty expensive lately. I always wait for either a sale or sometimes my PC Optimum will give me a deal on my app and then I buy as much as I am permitted (usually 4)-I do a lot of baking so need these in my stash. I also have to HIDE them or my husband and one son will eat them!!! Our home is small so I need to be creative in my hiding spots. Lately it inside my cupcake tray holder that has a lid-they'll never think to look there!!! So cute your Ben plays with Beyblades-are they back in? My son Ben LOVED Beyblades when he was about that age (he's 20 now) and had dozens upon dozens of them! Plus the 'arenas'. Oh hey, your hair looks nice did you just get it cut? It's got that 'fresh cut' look!

You always do a great job buying groceries. It’s too bad you didn’t find anything 50% off. Those deals help so much! I paid $5.39 for a dozen eggs yesterday. Prices like that really hurt the budget. I have never had perogies before. I’ve seen them in meals of the week videos and have wanted to try them. They sound good though. Another great grocery haul this week, it seems prices are rising everywhere. Here in California prices tend to be higher than most of the U.S. eggs are still hovering between $5 and $14 dollars depending on how many you get and the quality, also where you shop makes a difference. Meat is crazy expensive, so we eat less of it and try to make it stretch while also looking for some protein alternatives like lentils which aren't my favorite, but I don't mind a good bowl of lentil soup once in awhile. We love pierogi's here and had some for supper about a week ago, they were delicious and I always cook them with onions and then we top with sour cream. Last night I had a chicken breast I needed to use and a few other refrigerator items that were going out if I didn't use them, so I made a quick chicken alfredo over pasta, not my favorite because it's a little rich, but my husband loved it. I feel guilty when I have to throw food away now because of the prices we pay for them. You got a great deal on the ground turkey, I need to buy more of that since it's still a little cheaper than ground beef. Not much new to report here, I'm seeing a new doctor tomorrow, I'm nervous but know I have to go. Thanks for sharing your haul with us, I always love seeing these. Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Good sized haul. Prices are still climbing, it's crazy. Wages don't go up but everything else does. It's amazing how much is spent on groceries. Man your prices are insane. $5 PLUS for butter. $10 for a not very big can of maple syrup. I could go on. I do have to remind myself your economy and wages are different but STILL man that is pricey stuff, almost all of it. Personally I don't prefer maple syrup over a standard store syrup and I would NEVER pay that price even IF I liked maple syrup. Your milk is high, EVERYTHING IS. Again with ratio to wages perhaps it is no worse than here, hard to say. I know of people who cross the border, not probably your area, to buy things here, groceries, construction materials and more. I can see why, and we think we are high and up on prices--and we are. Still not at your prices though.

I was just making my grocery list for this week. I'm so happy to report that I only spent a $100 gift card this month and $7 out of pocket. I didn't even use my Optimum points, so I will use them for February. Every bit helps! And now my freezers and pantry are much emptier and cleaner. Have a great week Lindsay!

The wrap that Jakob had is one they serve at the avengers campus at Disneyland. My brother in law loves them. A very happy 8th Birthday to Audrey. I hope she had the most amazing birthday. Great lunches as always. We finally got some rain here in Southern California which we are grateful for. It helped with all the fires we had here. I’m not sure I could handle 22 below though lol.

I noticed how well she does with her lunches now that she is eating out of a Bento box, who knew it could make such a big difference. Nice to see Ben found his Gatorade bottle, I bet he was happy about that, and he's been doing so well eating up his lunches as well. Jacob's lunches all sounded good, especially the shawarma wrap, he's a great eater. Sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with the battery in your car, that's so frustrating, but nice that your neighbor was able to help get the kids off to school for you. Your package should arrive soon hopefully, I tracked it today and found it had left the Toronto airport on the 25th, keeping my fingers crossed that it gets to you. Try putting your strawberries in a mason jar and a paper towel.

Not sure why I like to watch these as there is not a lot of variety in the lunches but then kids don't usually want much variety, they like what they like. I guess it's because you have nice kids, it is just nice to see the family and what's up, etc. Fun to hear one had a birthday, and so on.
