I am really loving your commentary lately! People who work and enjoy luxury are the backbone of luxury product lines - they make billions from handbags and small leather goods, perfumes and beauty products, shoes and ready-to-wear. You are so well-informed, outspoken and honest about the luxury industry; I have been learning so much from your videos. 👍💜
I just got my coupon from Sephora, but I won’t be using it. Ulta is wiping the floor with them with some of the same brands, but I prefer the more reasonable ones, and they ship even faster.
We were discussing holiday promo at my job this week and the idea of an advent calendar came up and I thought of the Chanel shenanigans right away. Thankfully nobody was really that into the idea in the first place so we dropped it in favour of something else. The trend peaked like 10 years ago, I feel like!
Most of those ‘luxurious’ advent calendars are not worth it and Chanel was the peak of shenanigans 😂 I will have a chocolate one or none. Rather buy your favorite products - you know what you get. The marketing is great, the most boxes look cute and tempting but it’s always a disappointment.
Some time ago, the German channel Malwanne opened many advent calendars. Some were quite expensive e.g. Swarowski with mainly ornaments that became a bit repetitive.
Do disrespectful Glad the only advent calendar that I buy is the coffee one 😂and every year it’s cut I did see the unboxing of Jo Malone it it did look good if you like the brand
Did we learn nothing from the super lame luxury advent unboxings over the past couple of years? ALL of them cheaped out. However, those videos were very entertaining.
The worst part is that the products are unusable toxic Temu trash that Sephora got wholesale. Anyway, I go to Sephora to visit Patrick Ta, not for the points, lol
So I'm not rich at all but I went all out and purchased the space NK advent ....im Canadian so it's was almost 450 but with a value of 1200 pounds ..... most of it was full size and with all I have is putting ipsy on hold now........and that sephora is sooooooo bad ......2000 points is 2000 in purchases eh ....wth
Yeah, I won't be getting that from Sephora. Some of the point items are good, like travel sized products (to try something before you buy a full-sized item), or sets of products if you have enough points, but this is awful, shady and tacky.
I bought 8000$ diamond earrings at Tiffany and they are absolutely trash quality, the 1100$ at Costco were better, they looked like a child mounted them and the backs didn’t stay on, they were supposed to be locking backs, I asked the diamond manager why they were not screw ons and they said I had to spend more to get a crew on back. The quality is so trash since they got bought out. I have video hit me up if you want to do a video on it
Wasn't Dior horrible last year? There was one luxury calendar last year was AWFUL. Sephora US calendar was horrible, but the SephoraUK calendar was good.
Sephora are such cheap asses even their online “sales” are always redundant as it usually only applies to Sephora collection and NEVER any of the high end skincare or makeup so this doesn’t surprise me at all. Loved your commentary though as usual 😂
I guess I'll get a classic chocolate advent calendar this year! Thanks for your video darling 😘
These advent calendar should not be for sale, but instead should be a Christmas gift for loyal customers.
Exactly

Yes - that Chanel calendar is legendary!
@@krooks6367 More like notorious.
it baffles me that people still continue to get them when they know all they have is trash/worthless things.

Chanel pulled a fast one on their customers. That awful calendar was practically worthless. So glad I did not fall for the hype.
I bought chanel no 5 100 mls and chanel deodorant 100 mls £150.
People need to speak not just with socials, they need to speak with MONEY, STOP giving it to Chanel. The end.
The Liberty of London beauty advent seems to be about the only one worthwhile anymore, but I rarely buy this type of product, too chaotic for me, lol.

Now that people have discovered luxury advent calendars they have started to decline in quality.
Oh it’s not Chanel this time 🤣
you make me laugh,.. love it.
Glad I could make you laugh 🥰💖
Its bad folks, very bad 💜
Do disrespectful

just get the ones from chocolate companies.... aaaaaand I am no longer twelve lol
Sephora is owned by LVMH louis vuitton
The should be ILLEGAL ❗️ there MUST be GOV’T control of the luxury goods just like grocery prices
It's a simple solution. Since the product is bad, don't buy. They'll end up losing money. They'll understand that. Even the CEOs can't argue with that
My fave advent calendar are the Nespresso ones ☕️

Why are people opening their advent calendars early? Its soo naughty!! 😮😮
@@Chunkyshoesuk right????
I mean sure, but they're also saving many people from eventual disappointment 😅

they should list the items included in the box so people will not be surprised.

I wish we would all stop wasting money on things these luxury designers sell us.. they entice us with free pouch and the good are just crap and cheap

99cent store stuff......haha
Geat speach! 👏
Dacob 😊❤ love you 🥰
The advent calendars are mere overly glorified and packaged samples sets 😅
I sold mine on eBay but literally did it to break even. Worst ‘luxury’ item I’ve ever purchased!
Hermes
anyone got a tip on an advent calendar that's actually worth it

I bought the Space NK one after seeing a really positive review of it. If I feature it in a Vlogmas video at least it will be tax deductible 😅
You trolled me with the background colors 😂
