Endgame-centric guide next?
Omg woolie
Yes, and don't forget to shit on TFT now that they're getting exposed.
Happy baby woojie
Please, as someone who gets bored grinding endgame rather quickly I feel like I never get that hook that many others have had with this game and I think it is due to my lack of understanding of what the game is wanting me to do which feels very unclear and punishing for not knowing everything to do involving maps
@@Likiung yeah, you're not alone in that feeling
For new players proper trade etiquette is to go to that person's hideout and wait for the person you whispered to trade you, don't go into people's hideout and try to trade them.
Bro has a baby and uploads a PoE guide on the same day, absolut GIGADAD
he has to leave something for the bebe to practice on as soon as poe2 comes out!
To be fair, his girl technically had the baby 😂
Lmao
@@Pedram_Aphotic I heard that it was coming out around late 2024, should I wait for it or play poe now? (Im kind of put off without being able to use wasd as a movement button)
@@hart1871 its gonna be delayed even more. so play poe1 now, any cosmetic u own in poe 1 will transfer to 2
Solid info for 25 minutes worth, compared to other PoE info videos this is fast and easy. Great stuff as always!
Hey Woolie. I've been playing POE since open beta and I have 10s of thousands of hours in and I wanted to say I really appreciate this guide. You really did a good job with your explanations. As with everything in POE you could have gone into more detail but that probably would have been way too much for newer players so I liked that you kept it simple as possible and really pushed for people to use the community tools that have been created to help them. Thanks for this video.
been watching your poe stuff recently and been itching to try the game again for a third time trying play it and failing and this is probably the best thing that could've happened. Thank you so much for being an awesome content creator!
Mate! This video is brilliant. The whole presentation from you to the edit is so spot on.
Going to share this with any new players I know.
Entertaining and genuinely helpful video, I'm on my 3rd league and slowing picking things up, but the trade examples you provided would have bene a huge help early on and even with months of experience I still picked up a few tips for the trade site. I'd love a similar "you completed the campaign now what" video
never followed a guide and just had a blast learning, but this video is amazing! Guides and everything else are a GREAT idea!
Thanks man, this guide was awesome. my first playthrough right now. level 68 boneshatter slayer. Trying to figure this game out is like learning a new language!
Forget the best guide, this is the best video I've watched on youtube in a longtime! Lmfao, thanks for the laughs and all the information you've shared on this video man. You earned a new subscriber.
Just a small correction, the ghost gem vendor in act 3 (Siosa) sells every gem except for a few special ones unlocked in act 4, so its possible a gem used in your build guide is not available just yet! Lily in act 6 and then in your hideout does sell every gem in the game though (except just the portal gem, which is drop only)
been loving the poe content, keep it up
Great vid, last epoch coverage since full release is coming soon, also side note: the development and community teams behind last epoch really really give a damn about the game they are making , so nice to see. Been with it since is released and the amount of polish and content added is overwhelming .
Thank you woolie, very helpful. I would love more POE content.
Such a great video dense with info and easily understandable, this will be great for learners!
Congratulations Dadlie :]
Thank you!
Thanks :)! this video helped a lot especially the trading guide xd
I don’t even play PoE, you’re just endlessly entertaining. Thanks for the video
Nice guide! Thanks!
One thing I like to mention for new players:
Your first character will likely be bad.
It's normal. Even if you follow a guide you'll likely just not do a very good job and that's fine.
You will learn a lot and discover things you''ll want to learn about you didn't even know existed.
The fun part: each try will get a little better! Never before and never since have I played a game that made me feel like the things I learned matter and made me a better player. Enjoy the journey!
I've been playing PoE since 2015 and I do not agree with this comment. Not everyone who plays PoE will ever get truly "better" as they play, as some people (such as myself) plateau at a certain point and realize late in their gaming experience with PoE that they have no interest in the "min-max" culture of gaming.
I can't stand the mapping system and have always avoided it. I didn't originally start playing PoE to speed-run a bunch of complicated maps that took a Masters Degree to figure everything out to the finest damned detail.
Unfortunately, there is scarcely any content out there for more casual players like myself.
I'm hoping this helps someone else who may be frustrated with this hyper-detail-oriented culture of gaming we are in these days.
@@ideasonscribebro is playing mmos and complaining about min-maxing? the main goal of the game? just play something else my friend 😭 stardew valley is a fire ass game, go play that and you don't need to min max
@@ideasonscribe New person here and realizing I may not actually want to play because it just feels like well disguised hardcore grinding and gambling.
@@IAmJonesty just don't pay and grind. I'm also new but maybe you and I may get addicted so I'm not so sure.
@tails5388 if this is an MMO why is it CONSTANTLY mentioned by fans as a diablo alternative that's better than diablo? Diablo isn't an mmo and mmo isn't what I want from an alternative
Thanks for the content. I don't currently play. Building a character through the tree system looks fun and diverse.
I love watching these as someone who has played for like 7 years and does like all content except uber bosses in ssf each league. It's fun seeing new player reccomedations.
This was mad entertaining. Preciate you
Love that harbinger starlight portal. I have the same one and it’s just gorgeous in my hindeout
Cool epic video, hope this blows up sooooon.
Nice guide and editing man!
Fantastic video, this is the kind of content PoE needs for new players
Thank you sir, I'm on my way to the build guide.
amazing guide. Really great work.
Just got into POE a week ago and woolie drops this, GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I'm not much for PoE from the little I've tried, but i definitely might give it a shot again from this.
I'm loving the new style ! Excited for more
yooooo woolie and PoE content wasn't on my bingo card but I'm here for it
Hey man, thanks for the guide, I've only ever reached maps once, because my characters seem to become useless by act 7 or so. I'll definitely try a beginners guide and would love a more end game focussed one :)
Great editing! Also petition for a full version of the Human song
Great info! Knowing how to proceed after getting into red maps is my current progression wall. However, I never really knew how to use Poe ninja like you described, so hopefully that’ll be the extra info I need to keep chugging.
Like, once I’ve got good res/life, I don’t always know what to go for next. And like, sometimes, when I think I’ve got an idea, the freaking prices are outrageously high. But yes, endgame woolie tutorial next pls
Great guide, very nicely done
Awesome video thank you!
I love your ror2 contnet i just got poe today this video helped alot thanks
would love to see a guide on how as an experienced player, you approach POE end game. What do you prioritize? How do you make early league currency (heist during campaign/after)? What initial and proceeding atlas passive trees do you favor? Etc. Probably biggest thing for most early-ish players would be if you have limited time, what tends to bring the biggest bang for the buck since POE really demands a lot of the player's time, which not everyone can give. Great guide, and best luck with baby Woolie!
Wassup woojie, this yaa boy conceptex from stream (prolly dont remember me anyway :)) but just wanted to show some love. the vid is a banger!!! straight fire and i mean this honestly, probably the best beginners guide on youtube for PoE
When searching items, as well as setting a max lvl req, its smart to set a max stat (int, dex, str) req, so you dont get items you cant use. Great vid, impressive how dense with info it is
Yeah, that also works, although, I'd say that if the item is > a 10% upgrade, getting some extra stats to use it is well-worth it.
I wanted to go into more depth with trading (and endgame stuff, in general) - definitely will in another vid :)
Great video!
I kinda gave up on POE when I wanted to try it out but maybe I'll give it another go because this video is suppeerr well put together.
It's a game that is very much not made for casuals. Most new people (I say this as a new player, and by that I mean I have 200 hours in the game) will need a few attempts at getting into it. If you remember your first time playing well (and listen to his essential instructions, trust me), then your second attempt at getting into it will have you caring more. And so and until youre either hooked or entirely sure that the game isn't for you.
great video helped a lot thanks
Complete beginner looking into POE. Two minutes in, you've gotten a like just for being entertaining and making me giggle 10/10
This editing is wicked dude
Just came to PoE from Diablo. Dissapointed in myself that it took this long to play. I've been very overwhelmed so far, but wanted to try it before playing PoE2. This guide was a life saver. Thanks for making the switch easier!
Woolie, this video was funny as hell i dont even play this game but u got a sub
NIce guide, to the point, and entertaining.
A point that _really_ could use some stressing:
Global chat can make this game so much more fun.
Find a community to play with, I found one through a random global channel I joined. It means you can share progress, pog out at super rare items and laugh at other people's misery as they poof a third headhunter. All-round great times. It elevated my enjoyment of the game from an 8 to a solid 11/10. The community aspect of PoE is not to be underestimated.
ConspiringVillageRat from Chat here... and first of all Congrats on having kid ❤
I will now be installing POE see y'all in 3000 hours...
very concise and entertaining video there Mr. Streamer
Great job, bro.exklusive work for a nw ayer why i am. thanx.
Great job bro.
Haven’t been using a build guide and I’m doing great 😅
this video is made really nice :)
I don’t play PoE, I’m just a Woolie fan, and this format is the absolute fkn best. Keep killing it brother I love watching your content and channel grow.
Man, i'd love to see woolie do Noita runs sometimes. I feel like its your type of game: high skill ceiling and rewards a player's knowledge of the game
Explain for newbies about boss kill builds and mapper builds, explain about combinations of league mechanics, and specific mechanics which not vell stuck with others, for example alva temple, cos you loosing profits while you spray your focus on other mechanics. Make tier list of farm strategies: boss rush, blight, mf, simulacrum, master memories and more and more
I've never played this game but have heard of it. But TH-cam reccomended strikes again and now I have tons of good info about a game i......might play
That is what people call " a proper guide". it was super educational, funny and easy to understand. Thank you for the effort to make the video. I will probably watch it a few times just to fix my character. One question. Do you have a video explaining the passive tree and we're is the best to start from or should I go fallow the build guide 😂😂😂
definitely use a build guide for that! I do have a "passive tree tierlist", albeit, just for the Marauder, atm, but def just stick to a guide.
glad this vid helped :)
I’ve been going back to these older games that I have never played but I started with guild wars 2 and I have played every single day since I downloaded it right before Christ. Such a amazing game that is f2p and I love it because it can run on a old potato and use crummy hotspot connection and work just fine. So now it’s time for path of exile.
Good video. I have never played PoE.
i never played Poe before, but this video makes me want to lol
my god what a man. follow for years now for RoR/R2. see i have PoE in my ps5 library. download. hmmm...lets look up beginner guide. *woolie pops up in search* OH HELL YEAH.
great video. i'm suffering from add too, bro.
I think this might be the first video I have found that is actually aimed at new players. I have maybe a couple hundred hours in the game... still gonna say I am new because I only recently finished the campaign on a character only to immediately get slapped around like nothing when I started maps. TL;DR, yes, please make end game guide :)
ty man !!!
I love seeing the first rapper to ever be featured in a poe video...great video btw.
The resistance baby, the resistance. That was the part I missed. I first went full on DPS but damage won´t help if everyone oneshots you and you won´t level again because you lose xp for every death. It was a magical moment after I got my res together.
I'm 1 hour into the game and some random guy in chat helped me out and recommended your channel.
Nice! Hope it helps
Not a beginner by any means (around 2k h) but its kinda chaotic/informative guide? I like it, some up and downs for sure but a lot of people might like a bit different approach of our boy Wollie.
However...as always PoE player never stops to learn so ~ in poe trade is something new for me and will come in handy as hell, thank you!
lol all these *follow a build guide* made me chuckle 😂
You need, Need, NEED to make more POE content. Ziz is great and all, he knows what he's doing for being informative and teaching, but holy shit I fall asleep to his near monotone lmao. How you format your shit, especially with the new change, is so good and is what I need. I'm just a fledgling exile (about 200h) and NEED good info to help me get better. When someone got me to finally play through getting to maps n shit (played cobra lash in sentinel, good shit, so fun) I ended up disenfranchised from the "just lightly copy a build and then just buy it" type gameplay, didn't fulfill me, so I recently started standard ssf (don't know how frequent I'll play, I'll get back into leagues when I know more).
SOOOO
After your endgame basic guide and whatever else you wanna talk about before getting deeper into shit, I would love a moderately detailed series of each of the league mechanics, cause like I only have a slim understanding of how to go deep in any of them at all (mostly my current preferred, heist), and will probably stick with SSF, so knowledge is the #1 most important thing for me to have.
Also a quick note for clarification because I had to look it up just now, just having a public account wont help import your character to POB, you need to uncheck "Hide Characters Tab"
Give this man a medal! Everything is sooo well explained and I love the humor.
I can relate to this since I level 60 Guardian and I kind fcked up my stats hahaha. This guy gave me the headspace to build it right on the next playthrough! Like and subscribe folks!
Me and my wife have played PoE for 4000 hours each. We didn't know about ~ until now. Thank you.
All types of Damage scaling next! 😊
I wish i had seen this before i started playing PoE
Been watching you on Twitch, wow that sounds creepy, anyways I haven't played PoE in YEARS! I felt like a baby learning to crawl again, thank you so very much for making this video! Now other videos I was watching are actually making sense!
Nice video
Wow, this game out at an extremely convenient time. I just downloaded PoE last night.
Dont be ashamed of you litle steps, we all started same as you long time ago😊.
It's cause they're listening
Ive always been interested in PoE and started a character ages ago that i never tried to go far with, but this vid has made me a bit more interested in trying to play again, but a question, is there a good way to find like a skill preview for each skill outside of the game so i can know what im looking for before making a character?
Great guide.
My notes: Don't have them download a filter, instead have them SUBSCRIBE to a filter. That way it gets auto updated every time they log in.
The first 2:30 of this video did more to help me learn how to enjoy this game than literal months of bashing my head against it on my own. LISTEN TO THIS MAN.
I'm coming back to this game today, I played it for 200 hours back in 2013 and 2014. It's time
Edit, this video was such a nice welcome to the game
Anyone got other places for builds that work with Path of Building? Im wanting to do a proper minion build that isnt just flaming skulls or corpse explosion, and maxroll just seems to be super limited in options.
What anice vid, keep it up
i tried to get into POE 4 times now but i just cant :(
as much as i love watching people plow through dungeons, i cant play it myself.
now seeing ur hero at 5:52. are those cosmetics something u can easily obtain by playing or are those from the ingame shop?
PoE is not a game, its a lifestyle! thanks for this fun guide, ill link it to my noob friends, cus u know im pro.
cant wait for late game guide. 🎉❤
He doing big guides
I honestly wish I had something like this when I started years ago but as I played and experimented more, I just got better at the game. Do I follow a guide....nah Imma do my own thing. Highest maps I've made it to was 14 with a trash totem setup with templar but that was all luck. There are things I still learn as I go but your video did show me things I can do better.
I may no have the highest DPS, but I'm hella enjoying my time reading learning and building my own character, WITHOUT BUILDS!!
The best advice so far was utilizing the craft bench for all res on everything. I assume a lot of new players are just afraid to spend their resources without knowing how rare they are or what it really does short or long term.
I pretty much have an idea and for my first few characters.. archetypes I wanna go for.
I wanna experience the skill tree shit raw as a new player and just experiment cause that is literally the only way I learn is doing things lol..
I pretty much just went with the idea of a poison range guy that leeches hp and mana per damage tick making me immortal and it's fucking amazing 👏
I don't lvl life at all 😅
Just life per hit with a 46 energy shield and like over half my mana missing on reserve.. I beat malachai with just over 500 max hp 😅
And a crude bow with just 3 green links.
I never really die unless I get careless and forgot a buff or don't pay attention to cooldowns or what ability I'm casting.
When I'm locked in I'm immortal and I just wanna get to the point where I can forget to use my buffs for the hardest enemy in the game and must turn my brain off while being immortal xD
I did copy some streamers ideas but for the tree I went in mostly blind. I'm now ascended to raider so I can combine frenzy with vitality with a little bit of warbanner to help with the caustic multishot
Then I use snipers mark for tanky enemies and the other mark that gives leech on the heavy hitting enemies.
Frostblink and potions for the bs one-shot mechanics. Health pots with cold or bleed immunity for certain bosses is nice! Plus extra res or armor if you need it.
It's not complicated tbh.. this does help a lot.
I'll try a build guide for the same archetype in the future with balance changes added and see how it plays having a build created by someone arguably more nerdy than me.
But I like this approach just in case I find the next broken thing that people will be copying me lol
I played the game with some friends years ago, got to act six, and when I returned years later, I had no idea what my build was, beyond that I was a necromancer. I'm mainly questioning whether I should just restart or if I can rebuild from where I am. Spoilers from this point.
All I remember is that I killed Malachi, putting an end to the threat of thaumaturgy, and that when I was in Oriath taking revenge, I freed Kitava, who killed me MANY times because there just weren't enough corpses in the room to keep the pressure up. I returned to Wraeclast, and there was something about infiltrating a prison, that's where I stopped.
bro woolie u just had a baby take a break
U tryin to kill my grindset rn bro ??
woolie gotta flex that mirror stack to his baby. household dominance assertion
@Woolie Love your energy and how you explain stuff. I am completly new to PoE, not new to ARPGs tho... as far as I know, this does not mean shit in PoE xD
I'd like to follow your advise as much as possible, but when I try to find a build on maxroll there are just some that arent that exciting to me. I found Build of the Week Season 13 - Episode 1 - BalorMage's Popcorn Spectres which look amazing to me, but taking the pob link from it does not help me since it is no Leveling nor a beginners guide. Is there a guide on maxroll or other platform I can follow that gets me in the same direction. Or how would you recommend to do this. I watched your Act playthrough 2 times and try to get some things in my head so I can do it but it feels like I could fail on every step here :D
Please help and keep up the great work
check out Halaka's minion instability SRS league start guide
I want to get back 9into poe is it worth starting fresh or should i wait for poe 2
As a poe vet i laughed the second you brought up armor and evasion lol because good luck describing it to a new player without saying "sort-of" or "kind-of" 100 times
This game has such a high barrier to entry it's hard to figure out what's what. Thanks Mr Streamer!
