Isn't the world a marvellous place... When there are people who can work in such detail on things like this that give the rest of us such enormous pleasure when we are watching a dance. They have such a depth of knowledge far beyond what the average person has and that goes through every field in life making musical instruments, designing cars, writing novels… People push themselves to excel at something that benefits the majority. Excellent video

This is, by far, one of the most helpful sewing how-tos I’ve ever watched. I know this video is old, but after having watched it I simply had to say Thank You for sharing your know how.

Do you teach hands on classes about tutu construction? Because I've wanted to learn how to make authentic ballet costumes since I was younger. Or do you have a recommendation for learning how to make these?

I am on my own journey in the costume world as my daughter is starting her journey into ballet solos and I am blessed to be able to watch such talent in making these costumes thank you

AWESOME POST! Would have liked the camera worker to follow the instructor during all the work, but I see this was created years ago.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all your videos, very informative, there's not enough videos out there showing every single part of making and hardly anybody explains why or why not to sew some parts a certain way. I don't like just being told to sew this or that, I like to know why doing that will not be the best way and why and what will happen. you videos were very clear and you go straight into it, to many videos have people rambling on for ages about other things and then halfway through they finally get to the making of the item, it really annoys me. but these videos got straight in there, stage by stage and reasoning behind each action. BIG thank you :)

I loved watching this. Thirty years ago the ballet troupe in Columbus Ohio asked for volunteers to assist with sewing. I so wanted to volunteer but my work involved too much traveling. Even volunteers have to show up but what this woman does requires this education. What a great teacher she is.

Would this be a feasible project for someone who has no prior experience and 10 months to finish?
