Donkeys are such cute little animals. I have heard many of them are abused and neglected. Donkeys and all animals deserve just as much love and care as our cats and dogs.

We might find this behavior entertaining. But, that donkey isn't playing. He is practicing. Donkeys are incredibly aggressive towards anything they consider a threat. They routinely kill dogs and coyotes in the exact way this donkey attacks that ball.

Donkeys have been used as guardians of livestock for centuries, and he treated that ball like he would a coyote! They are wonderful companions, and fierce protectors.
Exactly what I was thinking. He was taking pleasure in removing the potential threat. Granted it definitely is cute but his pleasure is not what most think it is. We have two mammoth donkeys and both are really cool to be around.
Why wouldn't you have thought that? Try loading heavy lumber on a dog, then whip him when he drops on an uphill, see how playful he gets. It's all how you treat someone. There's only deep hate and deep love. Nothing else. Everything else is a derivative of that.
If I owned that Donkey, I don't think I'd ever be in a bad mood. All you'd have to do is go walk down to his pen and give him a new toy and he would cheer you up for sure just watching how happy he gets over a ball lol

One of his just bit a chunk out of his arm. Took most of it off. I truly enjoy when I see a playful one. They have a range of personalities for sure 😁

I watched a documentary in which ranchers prefer using donkey over dogs to guard sheep because they are equally smart, protective, territorial, but much stronger and hardier when facing wolves and coyotes. They literally drag them out on their ears. Plus, they eat the same thing as the sheep, so very easy to maintain. They just gaze all day along with the sheep.
His noises crack me up. He's so cute. I also got my fur baby a Christmas gift. He's older so he doesn't like toys anymore but I got him puzzle treat dish that he has to interact with to get treats.
That is one of the cutest things. It shows how ignorant we humans have been about animals and their emotions. That’s pure joy and if she can experience joy what else is capable of and how intelligent they are.
I never knew donkeys like play toys. He's so happy, I love it. How absolutely adorable !!! Everytime I buy my dog a plush toy, she spends 10 min. ripping the stuffing out of it. It's pure bliss for her and worth me re stuffing and sewing them up again for her joy.
I used to come home with a new toy often for my late mini Jack Russell. It was just a joy to watch him go nuts ripping it apart more often as this was the case. That’s the fun part of it. I too have never seen or known donkeys to be so much like dogs. I guess all animals are the same. Amazing creatures of God, bringing us so much unconditional love in their such short lives❤️🐨🇦🇺

The entire professional community has to rethink everything that they say about animals. These animals aren't mindless insignificant creatures incapable of knowing what's going on around them. They are loving beings that have consciences. The more of these videos I see the more convinced I am. This donkey is excited and acting as a human would. That the dog was making sounds of it and people were just taking advantage and claiming this. This is not the case since I trained my dog to say it. And the reason I'm confident of it is when he is trying to say it, you can actually see him trying to form the letter "L" with his tongue when saying love. Dogs have no natural reason to form their tongue in this way That convinced me that he is trying his best to say it.

Buddhist believe animals have a consciousness.. inanimate objects and plants don't. Seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, feeling a physical sensation including pain, feeling emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, guilt, fear etc, remembering, decision making, thinking so on are all the workings of consciousness...though animals have limited mental faculty compared to humans.. The intelligently built human being, due to insensitiveness, arrogance, and indoctrination believes otherwise.. and hence has no qualms in harming animals. Even when the animal is expressing to the best of its ability that it doesn't want to be killed / hurt the toughened humans don't feel its fear😓.

This might sound corny, but this is the joy ppl should look for în their day-to-day life. Simple joy, nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary. This is literally the pleasure of being alive.
Well deprive yourself of all entertainment and companionship for years and you'll be this excited to get a new ball as well. If every day of your life you're surrounded by loved ones and friends and you're rich and have everything you ever wanted then it takes a lot more to be this excited. If you're poor and alone and have nothing it doesn't take much to make your day. But perhaps no matter where you are or how much money you have people experience the same amount of joy over different things. I think the amount of joy is the same just for one guy it's a sports car and for another guy it's something much more simple

Donkeys are very intelligent, same with dogs and cats & bears or whatever, hell my rescue black birds are extremely intelligent, never compare them to a single cell organism even though consciousness does exist there, as above so below. One day I spent an hour watching a crow repeatedly pick a hazelnut off the road fly it up and drop it from the power line trying to crack it open. Each toss immediately followed by the side faced sharp eye, neck craned down to watch the impact. Followed by the kamikaze dead fall drop straight down to find out. As the hour wore on I could see, even feel the bird’s increasing frustration as it began slamming the shell on the pavement each time. Finally broke it with a good squawk of satisfaction. I see very little difference between us.

I watched a documentary in which ranchers prefer using donkey over dogs to guard sheep because they are equally smart, protective, territorial, but much stronger and hardier when facing wolves and coyotes. They literally drag them out on their ears. Plus, they eat the same thing as the sheep, so very easy to maintain. They just gaze all day along with the sheep.
I've heard the same. That they are very aggressive towards invading predators.

His noises crack me up. He's so cute. I also got my fur baby a Christmas gift. He's older so he doesn't like toys anymore but I got him puzzle treat dish that he has to interact with to get treats.

I never knew donkeys like play toys. He's so happy, I love it. How absolutely adorable !!! Everytime I buy my dog a plush toy, she spends 10 min. ripping the stuffing out of it. It's pure bliss for her and worth me re stuffing and sewing them up again for her joy.
I used to come home with a new toy often for my late mini Jack Russell. It was just a joy to watch him go nuts ripping it apart more often as this was the case. That’s the fun part of it.
I too have never seen or known donkeys to be so much like dogs. I guess all animals are the same. Amazing creatures of God, bringing us so much unconditional love in their such short lives❤️🐨🇦🇺

The 1st time I heard a Donkey laugh, I LMAO with her!! 😭 It was also one of the most touching moments i ever seen! Every animal has its own special unique quality. But at the end of the day.. Every living breathing existence just wants to be loved! 💙

Lol where I live donkeys are used to ward animals away from beef herds. They kill any animal that comes near the field. Dogs, cats, deer, coyotes, raccoons. You get the point. They not innocent. That donkey is attacking that ball

The entire professional community has to rethink everything that they say about animals. These animals aren't mindless insignificant creatures incapable of knowing what's going on around them. They are loving beings that have consciences. The more of these videos I see the more convinced I am. This donkey is excited and acting as a human would. If this was how they are portrayed it wouldn't care.

When I was a kid and seen videos where dogs were trained to say l love you, I used to think it wasn't real. That the dog was making sounds of it and people were just taking advantage and claiming this. This is not the case since I trained my dog to say it. And the reason I'm confident of it is when he is trying to say it, you can actually see him trying to form the letter "L" with his tongue when saying love. Dogs have no natural reason to form their tongue in this way That convinced me that he is trying his best to say it.

Seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, feeling a physical sensation including pain, feeling emotions like joy, anger, sorrow, guilt, fear etc, remembering, decision making, thinking so on are all the workings of consciousness...though animals have limited mental faculty compared to humans..
The intelligently built human being, due to insensitiveness, arrogance, and indoctrination believes otherwise.. and hence has no qualms in harming animals. Even when the animal is expressing to the best of its ability that it doesn't want to be killed / hurt the toughened humans don't feel its fear😓.

You know, for years people thought animals were dumb, had no souls or any kind d of feelings what so ever! It's good to see how people are treated their animals these days! It restores my faith in humanity!

This might sound corny, but this is the joy ppl should look for în their day-to-day life. Simple joy, nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary. This is literally the pleasure of being alive.

Well deprive yourself of all entertainment and companionship for years and you'll be this excited to get a new ball as well. If every day of your life you're surrounded by loved ones and friends and you're rich and have everything you ever wanted then it takes a lot more to be this excited. If you're poor and alone and have nothing it doesn't take much to make your day. But perhaps no matter where you are or how much money you have people experience the same amount of joy over different things. I think the amount of joy is the same just for one guy it's a sports car and for another guy it's something much more simple

@@mischevious I have a family of crows at work I use to trow nuts to. Their joyul run after hazelnuts an walnuts is the best bit of my day... after watching them throw them from the air to crack them on the asphalt.
@@LunarisArts I lived on the Santa Barbara riviera for a time, my bedroom window at eye level with the power line along the road. One day I spent an hour watching a crow repeatedly pick a hazelnut off the road fly it up and drop it from the power line trying to crack it open. Each toss immediately followed by the side faced sharp eye, neck craned down to watch the impact. Followed by the kamikaze dead fall drop straight down to find out. As the hour wore on I could see, even feel the bird’s increasing frustration as it began slamming the shell on the pavement each time. Finally broke it with a good squawk of satisfaction.
I see very little difference between us.
