When I was 13 years old, I was going through a rough time. Bullying, bad grades, and a lack of close friends. This song came out that same year, and after I heard it, I felt so much better about myself. I can't explain why it happened, but nearly 20 years later, this song has a special place in my heart.
Thanks 👏so much for the comments and support you’ve showed me towards my modeling carrier ❤️, I'm so grateful and happy to check on you! You can leave me a text on my mail: (sherylcrow1011@gmail.com) and let me know more about you 🥰
@ 00:38 , and I don't mean this in a bad way { but Joking way} , the hair cut or lack there of, makes the guy on the Telecaster look a little bit like Charles Manson. LOL I'm sure he's a great guy, I was just noticing !!
Gorgeous rendition. Her voice is in great shape and the band make it look effortless. So nice to see 4 people just playing live no treatments, edits or trickery.
I know she will NEVER see this, BUT... This was a long time ago. 13..14 years?? It was two days after a concert she gave at Mansfield Mass. I attended the show even though my date canceled. Two days later, I was coming home from work at 12...1:00 AM. And a limo/van was stopped at a traffic light coming from Worcester air port. I pulled up and the driver stepped out and asked me how to get to Longview Farm recording studio in North Brookfield Mass. I told him how to get to North Brookfield and asked who was in the van. He said Cheryl..... and stopped....I always wondered if it was her. If she recalls a guy in a new, shiny, fire engine red Ford ranger pick up who helped the driver out......well.... that was me. Thanks for the GREAT show!!
Cheryl Crow rocks so hard....she killing the bass and singing her ass off, which might I add still looks stellar! Such an amazing talent, she's on another level, such passion. Her band is always there for her and top notch.
Amazing to think that Sheryl Crow was once a backup singer. She became a lead singer, songwriter, guitarist and bass player. This song reminds us all to have fun and not take ourselves too seriously!
Man, the band is tight, Sheryl's voice is still impeccable, and that song just blew the doors off the day--in a great way. I don't think she gets the credit for song-crafting that she deserves.
This is incredible. Plus, I like the fact that her band looks like guys that ran with the 60's era Laurel Canyon crowd. Great musicians! The whole performance is just solid..
Lost my bestie this year, and this song reminds me of her. We used to dance to it in Jazzercise classes. It has our shared positivity too. Thankful for this!! CCH to my sweet Lauren. ❤️❤️❤️ ☀️
I'll bet you could buy those Drum shells for like 200 or 300 dollars, That's what makes his kit so great, they still sound great. Just spend some dough on the Cymbals, and your Good !

U guys have to listen to it with a great sounding head phones! ..I got my headphone Amp and My Hi Fi Man Ananda rocking by Sheryl Crow!! Rock On Sheryl and Crew!
Thanks BBC Radio 2 live for presenting this and others. I came here from watching Chrissy Hynde and Sheryl is another polished gem that has a treasured place in my memories. Bliss.
She's a full-on musician through and through. Great songwriter. Spot-on vocalist. Talented producer. You always get the sense that she views everything through a musician's lens. A lot of musicians who've achieved her level of success tend to shift their focus away from the craft of being a musician. It's cool that she's managed to stay true to that.
Sheryl has a degree in music, so that has likely helped her a lot in writing and playing music and also in arranging and producing. And yes, when you watch how she plays her instrument, you can see she's not only quite talented but also first and foremost a musician.
Jesus Christ as soon as I heard the opening notes, The doors of my memory bank swung open so hard they came off their hinges, and the flooding of memories commenced WOW Music is so powerful, Sheryl still rocks it
it brings me a lot of memories from my childhood, I don't remember the year when this song was released but it was a hit because I watched the video the last year, I miss those times when MTV was music... It's my first time that I am listening to her live..
I’m still loving this beautiful and talented lady.Great songwriter, great personality that shines through her music. This is another fine example of her love of music and performing live.I certainly hope she doesn’t retire as she has hinted at,music needs more of her wonderful melodies and winsome lyrics.✌️

I can relate. For me it was mostly the Beatles. This is just a happy fun song.
For me, this is the best version. It’s medium well and straight.
My girl Sheryl Crow not only "gonna soak up the sun", but she also rock that Bass line from beginning to end.

Wow one of my favourite artists commenting on a video of one of my favourite songs, what were the chances?
Who thinks that this song is and always be great 20 years later?
33 years of age and happy I had the song in my childhood
Bloody hell, talented and gorgeous and at 58!!! She epitomizes how confident and strong a mature women can be.
I think it's better. The album version is a bit overproduced, this sounds much more like an organic rock song.
