i genuinely believe this song is the definition of a timeless classic, one of the best songs ever in my opinion

It's a classic for sure but very much sounds like the 80s. Which isnt bad but I wouldn't say it's timeless. Some songs seriously seem to have a sound seperate from the decade they were in. This isn't one of them. Still a great song.

The fact that these guys can not only still sing this perfectly at their age, but harmonize on key as well is insane. I don’t care how good those headphones are, vocal cords decay and hearing fades (especially for musicians) and this isn’t exactly an “easy” song to sing. Really impressive. The famous English classical composer Peter Warlock once wrote that there's no such thing as "old" music or "new" music, only "good" music and "bad" music. Good music, he said, is as fresh and alive as the day it was written - and I feel this song fits that description perfectly.

I can’t find a single flaw with this song. Perfection in every way. To me, it is relatable to everyone if you truly understand the lyrics. It essentially asks the question, “How do you go for what you want in life without harming or stepping on others?” Or maybe, “How do you attack your ambitions without damaging or harming the world?” At least that’s how I’ve always felt about it. It makes you think.

It’s fake. Totally flattened out digitally. I get that they feel they need to do that at their age, but I’d rather hear their voices with age and imperfections in it than digitally altered processes sound. Listen to Bob Dylan in Rough & Rowdy Ways, Jerry Garcia singing Visions of Johanna live in 95 shortly before his death, for example. Very different than their younger voices, but real-and powerful in their own way IMO.

True professionals! They have probably performed this piece thousands of times but this presentation, their enthusiasm, is as if it is the first time!

This song is AWESOME! It never gets old.
I miss the 80's. It had the best music by far.

80s music is awesome, but not the best "by far".

@@kimmern999 no it certainly is lmfao, I take it you’re a 90s kid and 2000s teen and missed out LMFAO. Nothing will ever compare to the 80s. You might even be worse, a gen z 😂

@@liberalsarethebiggestcryba6654 I'm an 80s kid, but I think the 90s was even better with the likes of Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M., Metallica (Black Album), the second british invasion (Oasis, Blur, Pulp and Suede) many unforgettable "one hit wonders", etc. 60s - 90s all were decades with some amazing music, with the 90s being the absolute peak IMO. After that, it dropped off. I rarely listen to music from the 00s and beyond.
