Well, I’ve had a Yorkie, English Bulldogs and Labrador retriever. I loved them all but my Labrador retriever was my soulmate. That’s her photo. I miss her everyday.

@@cathybrown7559 the lord provides in so many different ways think of this she is happy in heaven and not in pain anymore. I lost my best friend who was a pitbull. We got him the day after i was born. 14 years ago. His name was yayo. He was sick all of his life with a disease i forget the name of and which i chose not to remember bc it took away my best friend. He would pee blood and his eyes blood be blood shot red and sometimes it got so bad he would spray blood on the walls. I loved him very mucn and i was with him every step of the way. I held his paw when they put him down. But i knew it was for the better. He in heaven now making new dpg friends and probably playing with ur dog. Remember not everyone and eveything lives forever we just jave to wait till we get to see them again. I will pray for ur healing. I lost him a few months ago befoe my 14th birthday but it just reminds me that the best gift he gave me was the joy through out the years im sure your dog gave to u. Hugs and prayers for you things will get better.
Kierah love the love of dogs is special. I live in the US in Alabama. I went through a violent divorce. Zoey was his dog but, when he would back me into a corner and threaten me Zoey would get between us open her mouth near his private parts and growl. Zoey saved me. I know when I go to heaven my Zoey will be there along with my daddy and mama.

No one should ever go threw something like that and for ur dog to save u is something special. The bond u had with Zoey will always be strong and im very sure u are a good soul. I will be praying for u so when u go to heaven u and Zoey will be reunited. Cathy i hope you live a long and healthy life ur life is just begining for you and god has so much more planned that u can not yet see. I am only 14. I say the German Shepherd is an excellent all round dog, they inherit some traits from each dog on the list. Intelligent, they learn fast, love socializing with other dogs, very playful and full of energy and can be just as emotionally aware as a Golden Retriever or Labrador retriever.

My family had a golden retriever, yellow lab mix and he lived to be 16 years old, he was an amazing loving dog and I remember when I was younger I cried cause I thought a bee was chasing me and he came up to me and put his paws on my knees and then another time he was outside with me and he laid his paws on my lap. He had arthritis in his hips and back as time went on and eventually he went blind and deaf but he was with us through some tough shit and he was amazing til the very end. He even folded himself in half. He was the goodest of boys

No he folded himself in half. He would be laying down on his side then use the wall to lean up against as he folded himself in half with his head laying by his butt. It was weird to look at but since he was so thin and because of his hips and spine I guess it was easy for him. We had to lay him on his other side so he wouldn’t do it

I had a maltese when i was younger and he was SUPER loving and caring for me and my family
I grew up with a golden retriever she was the most loyal loving caring dog I've ever met. She would lay on my bed at night then in the morning be on my pillow she loved to be round family and friends and as soon as I returned home from either school or work she was so happy to see me

Fun fact, The Labrador Retriver was breeded by the British and Portuguese. from the Newfoundland for Fishing Trips in boats for helping bring in nets etc, Which is why they are one of the few dogs with webbed feet and have a slick on their fur so water slicks off of it with its undercoat.

But you know you have to give lots of love and this is wasted if you don't have another dog...The shelters are all crowded and so many sweet and wonderful dogs need a loving home... I think that almost all the retriever breeds - the Goldens, Labradors, Chesapeake Bay, Flat Coats, etc. are very affectionate and tend to be more obedient and eager to please their people than any other breeds as a whole. After all, if most other dog breeds found a dead duck would they give it up to their person? Probably not, and I say this as the mama of a very sweet German Shepherd. Too bad they didn't include Basset Hounds or Beagles though.

As the owner of a boxer I can definitely confirm a lot of facts here. Because we socialized ours at a young age he gets along really well with animals and peoples alike. Even dogs who aren't the playing type or are too old for wanting to play are persuaded by him. And he can be such a goofball at times. He also rarely barks which is quite pleasant. Of course he has his moments but it doesn't happen often unless he's frustrated or scared or hears something in the hallway. So definitely a recommendable family pet

My sister has a chihuaua mix and he's definitely a great example of how fierce and protective a dog can be and why no one should judge a dog by it's size. He's only part chihuaua but you can definitely see the spirit and face of one though he is slightly bigger than a normal one.

Irish Sophia actually I wouldn't say most in the world, most of u don't know of this breed, but I have it, it's lazy likes to snuggle never gives up on the owner and is so sweet, I'd say way more than most retrievers, I had it for six years and the breed is a shorkeypoo mixed with a shitzu, which is know for being very sweet, a yorkie which is on the top ten, and a poodle who loves its owners and always have strong bonds, my dog barks only about twice to new people, and then accepts them, like they are family, I disagree entirely with ur idea of gold retrievers and I wish this breed were on the list cause it would get 1st or atleast 2nd, most people who meet her say they have never meet a dog as sweet as her to I wouldn't count out mix breeds

My family always had a dog, many dog breeds, and all of them were loving, great family members, but none of them compare to my current fur baby German Shepherd. He’s my first GSD and I will never adopt another dog breed. Smart, loyal, protective, huge goof ball, LOVING.... sometimes I feel like he’s human that came to me in the body of the dog. In my case, GSD stole my heart!

I own a Golden Retriever and I feel they are more friendly than those mentioned above and at par with Labrador.
It really depends on the dogs personality and upbringing aswell. I feel golden retrievers are all round good and balanced dogs, in terms of affection, training, difficulty and protection.
I fond GSD as the best dog in terms of loyalty , cuteness , smartness , intelligence and protection i don't know about boxer but GSD is the best dog

Let's not get negative at the breeds that were mentioned, because another wasn't. GSDs are EXTREMELY attentive and affectionate to their humans. And everyone else that their humans are ok with lol
@@bhumisharma3215 You're absolutely correct. All attributes considered and balanced, GSDs are the best domesticated indoor (and close to best outdoor) breed! The only issue with GSDs is that they require intelligent owners. 😉

The best dog we ever had was our Abbie. She was a chocolate lab. We had to have her put to sleep a month ago. Annie was smart, loving and very protective of me. If anyone hugged me she would bark. To me, my sweet girl is absolutely the most affectionate dog in the world and I would recommend a lab to almost anyone.

I have had labs for 40 years and find them the best family dogs. Trustworthy, loyal, loving, and friendly. Never worried about going out with any of my dogs through the years
Me, too! We’ve had three black, a yellow, and a chocolate over the past 24 years (almost always at least two at a time…we had all three black labs *RIP* at one time when we were younger and could keep up 😂!). Our 7yr old yellow is the only English lab we’ve ever had and she’s much less athletic, but also more of a snuggle pup. Our 1yr old chocolate is a tornado of energy…we run her with a dummy 3-5 times a day and she’s still ready for more!
It’s always fun to meet other true lab lovers…once you have one, there’s no other breed that can compare, whether it’s a hunting companion, a field trial competitor, a drug dog, a therapy animal, or a ride or die family pet.

i have a caucasian shepherd and i think that breed should be on that list also but they can get really agressive to strangers if not trained well and they are also very loyal and protective to its owners... i love the fact that they grow very massive and are super cute... i recoment adopting one but to a person with experience

I think number 1 should be a springer spaniel. They are super cute, good for baby's and cats and really good for farming, walking and playing they are beautiful animals! One of my Favorites!
My lab was very unfit and lived to 16, I now have another 3 yr old! Labs are so loving because they are so smart and I feel as if mine is always listening when I speak to her
Of all the dogs I've owned, pitbulls have been the most amazing and loving of all. I have two different breeds and they're both incredible. I believe one is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the other is an American Pit Bull Terrier. Both truly incredible.
