And to be honest, being an amateur in the alpine environment, I need all the info and tips I can get. Have both the amg 105 and gregory 105, bought one and found one on a used rack. The amg is waaay better. The gregory is now the workout pack always loaded with 50lb water.
I'm not completely sure how much I've carried since I never weigh my packs. I can say I've probably loaded up the AMG 75 with at least 60 lbs of weight and the pack carried amazingly. I'm sure the 105 with up to 80 pounds will feel as comfortable as carring that much weight can feel.

Hello, Ryan! Have you used the AMG 105 to carry 70 pounds? Do you think it can handle an 80 pound load?
