I have an 18 2SS 1lE. I named it ENDGAME because there is no car under 100k that I actually would want. It's perfect for me in every way. Congrats and look forward to seeing where you go with it. It's like an amusement park every time I drive. Not like one ride. It's the whole park. Easy driving is just as rewarding.
The SS 1LE is easily the best value of a muscle sports car out there. I loved my 2017 so much I custom ordered a 2021 with the options i wanted because i loved the 2020 refresh. Easily best car I’ve ever owned. I’m loving the Camaro content! Keep it coming!

There good value but its crazy how the prices are starting to go up on these. I purchased a 1SS last year 2022 non 1LE loaded up pretty nice for 46K 1,200 mile. A similar car today is about 3- 4K dollars higher right now.
I took delivery of a 2023 ZL1 M6 on 2/3/23 after waiting 8 months. One of the best things about a Camaro is that you can get a manual transmission. I thought about getting a C8 but I didn't want an automatic transmission. I know automatics are faster by a few tenths of a second. However, driving a manual is so much more engaging. At least you have a choice with the Camaro.
There's a "skip shift eliminator" that allows you to shift normally. It's a small, relatively inexpensive piece that plugs into the trans electrical circuit. Came close to buying a 2ss Camaro before purchasing a 16 Stingray. Always wondered how well the car would run on the track.

Mine is a 17 SS non 1LE. Man. trans. with magnaride, dual mode exhaust and the black 5 spoke rims, 62k miles now. Love it. I daily drive mine every day and never intend to track it.
Defniitely an amazing car for the money. I've got 16,000 daily driven miles on my ZL1 1LE now and my only problem is figuring a way to keep it when I get a C8 Z06, rofl. I don't really need two cars but at the same time my ZL1 has been great!

I agree this is an amazing car I getting a 23 2ss 1le in rapid blue build just started at factory. My dad has had 6 corvette’s has a 21 C8 and has an order in on a 23 or 24 ZL1 has is just waiting for the factory to except. You are very blessed to have both of these amazing vehicles. Great video
I believe the skip shift feature is done to avoid paying the gas guzzler tax. I know Chevrolet does not want to put it on the car but again it's saves the buyer paying the tax.
2014-2015 was a 5th gen not a 6th Gen. 6th Gen is a completely different platform. The 1LE suspension is awesome, that said the regular SS suspension isn't bad at all either. Great video.
I miss my 17' 1SS 1LE. I had to get rid of it because gas was so expensive during covid and my daily vehicles were starting to have issues after owning them for 16 years. I'll end up getting another one once I get my new cars paid off.

Man that must be so much fun driving around town with the top down in a ZL1. I have 2SS vert and it’s no slouch, but it doesn’t have a supercharged 650 hp engine. That must be crazy
Great video. I had a beautiful Red 2019 SS 1LE During the covid years after a year of driving it I sold it close to what I paid for it. I still miss it to this day. This is a car that has so much for the money. Such a capable car. I just might have to get another. Congrats on both of your cars. Only complaint I had was the tires. They are like ice skates if you get caught in the rain and they only last about 8k miles.

White is probably the best color on a Camaro. Had one myself! Loved loved loved it! I'd always look back it. I still miss it. Runs, drives, and sounds amazing. ❤

My ‘18 1SS is white. Got it wrapped sky blue & damn near daily complements. Took the wrap off, think I’m going green wrap next

After 4 Corvettes, decided to buy my 1st Camaro (LT1 6 speed '22). Ditched the plan to sell my collection and get a Z06 before I grow up but NOT waiting for allocation games of the Z06. Even the base 38K Camaro IS satisfying PLUS I got a manual. I agree with you on the comfort and seating position. AND my wallet is still full figured!
I've said this on other videos of the 1le but I'll say it again, coming from a mustang guy, I really think these ss 1le's are fantastic. I would add the 15' z28 in there too. I got the handling pack mach 1 and these track focused "muscle cars" are severely slept on.
Yep, I need to drive some of those handling pack mustangs, all I’ve driven is GT’s and the GT500 track pack which obviously the 500 was incredible! I’d really like to do comparisons between the Mustangs that are closer to the 1LE though.
I picked up an SS 1LE 6spd in January and have put 5k miles on in 2 months. I love driving it and seek out fun roads. I took it on the tail of the dragon and had a blast. Taking it on the track in April.
Skip shift eliminator is a must.

Great vid, thanks for sharing. I traded my SS 1LE in on my ZL1 1LE. And I have no regrets. BUT, there are times a miss the mag ride and more usuable power of the SS 1LE. Not to mention, I really, really miss the 50gs it took 😂😂. Both cars are great bangs for the buck.

Just reserved an allocation for a 6 speed 2024 2SS collectors edition the other day after they announced it, first on the wait list in my area. Had a factory ordered 2022 2SS and loved it, can’t wait to get another. Such a great platform.

Personally I am not convinced that the car is Beautiful, it is Bold and Dramatic, it looks cool in person; but if it were truly beautiful it would have attracted more buyers. I think the end of Pontiac and thus the necessity of making the car on the Cadillac Alpha platform, and not on a dedicated F-Body sports car platform limited the designers; the end result being it is not Sleek and a bit Awkward. GM should never had consented to the dissolution of Pontiac, the end of the Firebird has had its repercussions and what was a popular and successful formula can no longer be employed.
Congrats on the new Camaro! I ordered a 2022 2SS 1LE last April and picked it up in July. My first time driving a 6th gen Camaro, of any type, was when I drove away from the dealer in my new car. My only other experience with the Camaro was when my Mom had a base trim 3rd generation ('84 maybe) years ago that I would drive. Anyway, I absolutely love the car, and can't wait until she comes out of winter hibernation (probably at the end of this month).
Oh, and I don't know if you just misspoke in the video, but the actual break-in mileage is 1,500, not 500. Of course, many people ignore this, but that's what it says in the manual. 😉

I got rid of my C8 after 4 months of ownership because I messed up and got a DUI and the insurance was gonna be ridiculous. I waited a year and bought a 1SS 1LE Camaro and love the shit out of it. It's almost as fast, Looks awesome and drives great. It's not as cool as a convertible C8 but damn close. The more you drive the Camaro the more you will love it. Good job. Love the Car.

Camaros are awesome…lots of car for the money…my only concern is the poor visibility, but hopefully the rear view camera solves that problem. Have fun with it!

I bought a 2022 2ss with the 10speed and like it because if you want to drive it like a standard you can switch it to manual. Plus I ordered other parts in the order. Different rims and ext. I wanted to get a new corvette but I didn't want a loan. 50k + is a great deal for the 2022 2ss. Thank you for the video showing awesome 👌

The tremec 6060 transmissions are fantastic in the 6th gen camaros. I got a 2017 2SS convertible and cruising around shifting gears with that transmission is such a pleasure
Nice Video brother. I had the same car 2019 in Mosaic Black with the 6spd! Great car, awesome handling & lot of fun! I then got a 21' ZL1 1LE in a 6spd which i loved but the suspension got to me after awhile so i now have a 22' Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition CFTP which is unreal. By far the most amazing car i have ever owned. As far as the new Z06 goes i would possibly go for one if i could get one for MSRP but i know thats probably not going to happen for a least a year or two or maybe never and what sucks is everyone thats getting them for MSRP or just above and then trying to flip them for $50-100K over and GM not doing anything about it. The warranty void thing will only go so far because whoever can afford a $200K plus sportscar can afford the repairs! anyhow enjoy the 1LE its a very under rated car!

Just sold my 2020 2SS 1LE 6spd. Riverside blue. I already miss her 😢. The handling, and torque is phenomenal! Perfect car for the street
Its a Hydraulic clutch, doesn't need to be heavy and tight, and feels good the way it is.
So glad you got a manual! I've heard many say the zl1 1le is a better track car than the C7 z06
Took delivery of my 1LE in February. Couldnt be happier! I agree, the clutch is very light. Lighter than my 2019 Gti that I use as my daily. Skip shift can be annoying and I feel like it isnt consistent. I usually go from 1st to 3rd when driving slow. I think the hatred of the visibility is a little much, but my first car was a 1990 300z, similar issues. Just drive carefully
Nice, and I couldn’t either! This car is truly a pleasure to own and drive! As far as the visibility goes, I’m totally used to not seeing much because of all the Vettes that I’ve owned. Setting your mirrors correctly is key and the rear view camera mirror helps a ton!

I traded my 18 Camaro SS 1le for my 23 vette. I love my vette, but I do miss my Camaro too.. Wish I could have kept both. Enjoy it. Beautiful car. Also you can get a bypass to eliminate the skip shift.

Nice! Agree with most of it. I have a 2016 2SS with sunroof and stick and the car is just awesome. Rides so good, yet still so sporty. It’s mild mannered around town but roars to life if you want it to. The shifting is buttery smooth. There just isn’t much of anything to complain about this car. People talking about the vision out of it is nonsense…it feels normal in like 30 seconds.
I really can’t even think of anything I truly want to replace it with besides maybe a C8 corvette and even that is iffy due to the trade-offs of price and no back seat at all.
The only thing I didn’t agree with was the clutch. I like it just the way it is. It has feel but it doesn’t wear out your leg especially if you’re stuck in stop and go traffic. I had 2010 2SS prior and that had a much heavier clutch. Too heavy. I like the 6th gen clutch better.
Yes skip shift is an annoying gimmick to appease the government or something. You basically can’t use it purposely because the window is so small and then sometimes it just gets in the way…I notice it’s mostly when you make a left hand turn at an intersection from a dead stop. That’s when it seems to hit it’s sweet spot when you’re halfway through the turn and don’t want it because there is a car coming.
Anyway agree. The car is fantastic and feels tight and well built. I love both the exterior and the interior.

That skip shift issue shows how a lot of people don’t know how to drive a manual. You don’t have to go “a little faster” to negate it, just stay in that gear just a bit longer and you’ll never have to deal with it. In a car like that there should be no reason to shift that soon anyway. That engine roar and exhaust note sounds too glorious to baby shift it
Cool channel. Glad the algorithm lead me here. I had a 21 1SS 1LE and tracked it for a year. You’re going to love it and you’ll be able to find the limits even easier than in your Vettes.

I special ordered my 2022 2SS and had exactly the same immediate first impression of the car as you describe. Phenomenal, and as a former owner of a 1968 Camaro, 1973 and 1982 Firebird, and a 1987 and 1998 Corvette, this new Camaro is by far the best of them all. It is what Camaro always should have been. Regarding your comment on the light clutch pedal feel, I love it! With the relatively new hydraulically actuated clutches, as opposed to the older cable actuated clutches, they can be designed to be light but able to handle a prodigious amount of torque, which these clutches do in magnificent fashion. And they are very smooth and easy to modulate. I think you will find yourself trusting the clutch performance as you become accustomed to it. Marvelous cars! Hope you will continue to enjoy it as much as I do mine.
P.S. Note that break-in period is 1500 miles, not 500. Check the owner's manual. Also, the skip-shift operation, in its latest form, isn't overly intrusive when you get used to it. If you don't feel like skipping from 1st to 3rd gear, just punch the accelerator a bit harder while in 1st and voila`, you can engage 2nd gear no problem.

I will assume a new clutch kit is in the werks. Perhaps lowering, tinting, graphics package, shifter over-ride, boost increase, exhaust, ppf, more aggressive aero.

I traded my 2019 C7 Vert for my 2020 SS Vert and do not regret it, the Camaro is really good for half the cost. I just took my Camaro on a 850 mile round trip including the Tail of the Dragon and it was flawless, my C7 would tire me out in 2 hours.
Idk how many times I’ve replayed the first 15 seconds or so, sounds amazing!

I had the 2018 SS 1LE. Loved it. Now I am waiting for my C8 but debating canceling and getting the 2024 1LE. That car is perfect for the money IMHO.

"Track Pack" is a Dodge term, not GM. Chevy refers to 1LE as a "Performance Package".

Cheap extra horsepower can be made simply by swapping C8 OEM IM, TB, MAF+HP I-M Shield, AI and ECU relearning , proven 50hp extra, my $0.02...

'23 2SS 300 miles of smiles! This car delivers! Stock with so much that I cannot understand for the price that these dont oversell Mustang/Challengers by 5 to 10 times! Engine, transmission, and who can miss the body styling and exhaust notes!

They put the skip shift in for gas mileage to reduce the gas guzzler tax. Keep the RPMs at the correct level and its no problem. Why would you even be short shifting in first gear and low speeds.

I've got in an order for a 2SS 6 speed. I opted against the 1LE because a) the build time would be longer and b) the brakes and tires cost a fortune to replace. I'm not going to track the car so I'd have higher maintenance $ for nothing.
The 2SS is the best way to go if you aren’t going to track it. The L1E is a great track car, but a 2SS is a fantastic grand tourer. Different strokes for different folks. I went the 2SS route and am 100% happy with it
I drive a 2020 SS manual and yeah the clutch could be a little heavier. The only thing that does annoy me is the skip shift as you mentioned. I either go from 1st straight into 3rd or sometimes I just pull off in 2nd gear.
Have a 2019 SS, and I love the clutch. Skip shift sucks when I miss it. I go to 3rd 4th is going to kill the car..there's a after market trans switch 20 30 bucks to rid that issue. I'm use to it either get on it a bit or go under 18mph a treat it like a baby you get to 2nd gear ..I choose to just stay ahead of the pack don't let off or you will skip shift do 3rd not 4th .
I'm a Mustang guy, but I believe that the rivalry between Camaro and Mustang has made them both better.

I have the 2021 SS 1LE with the 6 speed. The best handing car I have owned. I sold my 2019 Hellcat Challenger for being an automatic. It was crazy fast, but a lot of white knuckling coming into a corner or exiting one. I only have 2600 miles. It is my cruise car. Add the small rock guards. The tires do kick up a lot of little pebbles that will scratch the rear front side of quarter panel. They are cheap and easy to install. Also,, look under drives side plastic engine shroud/cover. My engine was produced at the Performance Center at Bowling Green KY. Had a plate attached to the engine with the engine builders name. NOTE: 1500 miles is the break in. Not 500.
Funny to hear your story about the 95 Camaro. I’m thinking about selling my 95 Z28 after 10 years of ownership so I can get a 6th Gen 1LE. Up until last year it was the only sports car I’ve owned and really got to “push”. I bought a 96 LT4 Vette and even though my Camaro isn’t on stock suspension, the stock C4 was so much more composed and felt so much better than my Camaro. And since I test drove a 1LE two days ago, it’s all over now. I have to have one.
That 1LE is a upgrade to the C8 😂… congrats man

I dislike the camero. I had mustang all my life and I had newer shelby gt500. Yes I love that car. I trade it for the 2020 stingray. After I own the c8 I will never go back to a mustang or any other muscle car. The c8 is an exotic supercar. It's so much better.
Nice car mike I have a 2016 Camaro2SS lowered with eibach springs on mag ride full adjustable bmr rear suspension helping with wheel hop and getting rid of negative camber to get all that that 305 tire on the ground with some 3 piece ag wheel in 20 buy 11 always been a Camaro guy but I now what you mean behind the wheel is my happy spot can’t wait to see your Camaro build I watched you since your c7 I won’t sell my Camaro but I would love to get a c7 grandsport
How long did it take you to get it from the time you ordered it until it showed up at the dealer? I have one on order, but I am in Canada, so I wonder if I will ever see the car. I also have a Z06 on order and the Camaro was supposed to hold me over until I got the Z06 but I don't think I will see either car, especially the Z06.
