    It’s hard to watch these after years because she went from coming across as confident and on the right track to desperate with her monthly challenges, where she stopped giving updates on how SHE did. She goes on and on with advice but many have advised her over the years to work with a nutritionist vs trying every fad and every tweak to address what has now clearly become desperation. I see the desperation because I’ve been there and know it takes a focus on your self talk, mindset, etc to move beyond it and start really taking care of yourself vs beating yourself up or trying the next desperate thing. I’m not a close follower but from comments in the past I get the sense that she doesn’t engage with any of her followers, just spouts stuff in the videos and goes back to doing her thing. Something is going on with what appears to be a disconnect with self and others. I hope she finds her way but this is no longer inspiring except as a reminder not to get sucked into desperation

      She's definitely not in to it anymore. Says she's happier than she's ever been but isn't that what all overweight people say? It's called denial

      She seemed to do well when she was doing a plan with a friend, she actually had accountability!!! I think she needs that and I think she likes the friendly competition of it too. I’m not sure why she gives us advice or tips but not updates. Advice and tips are well received as someone is seeing results or already in maintenance.

      You’re right about engaging with followers- such a good question - why doesn’t she do lives, etc?

    • @bw5911
      @bw5911 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Absolutely perfectly said! And no, she doesn’t engage with her followers at all. It’s just very robotic and I can’t imagine anything about her is inspiring to anybody.. it’s very fake and very false. And whenever one of her followers calls, the people who comment negative things cockroaches and then it’s only then that she responds and supports their comments. Of course their fools and they’re following a fool so you can’t really expect anything else.

    • @bw5911
      @bw5911 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Well, let’s not encourage her to do lives because she’ll just be in it for super chats and it will just be more fake BS and we don’t really need to encourage that and I feel bad for the other people who believed her and get sucked into her

    Some of these comments are so condescending and passive aggressive. You can’t look at someone on TH-cam, think you know them and make judgments about their progress. There are all different kinds of progress and success, much of which you can’t see with your eyes. If you care about Jess, don’t give her unsolicited advice about what she should or shouldn’t do. People do not grow that way. She gets to figure it out her own way and it has nothing to do with anyone else. If it isn’t helpful to you, step off. Jess, thank you for your joy, positive and HONEST message. I love that you are not telling us what do. I never feel condescended to by your videos. But I do feel encouraged that not being perfect is part of the journey. It’s not all or nothing. Sisterhood!

    • @davidadcock3382
      @davidadcock3382 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      I was Jess for 45 years. If I had not started listening to others who were successful in losing a large amount of weight without drugs or surgery and then keeping the weight off I would have never been successful myself in this journey. There is NO need for her to waist a big part of her life trying to figure this out on her own which she may never do. I pray she is successful in her journey but after watching her video's for 5 years now She has a lot to learn before she will be successful long term. It was sad to watch her reach her goal and then within a week going off the rails and never getting back on track. It was like I have reached my goal now so my journey is over which is false her journey was just beginning for maintenance is part of the journey also. Weight loss was not hard once I figured it out and it is not about exercise, calories, or portion control. It is about eating correctly 100 percent of the time getting the proper nutrition which will control your hunger and if you are not hungry or have cravings the journey is easy. Remember You are NOT what you eat but you are what you can ABSORB!!!
      LET THY FOOD BE THY MEDICINE AND THY MEDICINE BE THY FOOD. Good Luck.

      This is it.
      I've struggled since 2018.
      Now I'm doing so well.
      I admitted I had an addiction to carbs and wine.
      Now I'm choosing health over food. Food is plain and simple . Protein, lots of good fats and some vegetables.
      Not excessive training, but fun exercise, aqua, yoga, beach walks 3 times a week.
      And this is my prescription.
      For life. It's not about the weight. It's an investment into my longevity.
      I don't care if I don't eat at the party, drink at the gathering. I have fun being the best version of myself. I feel good, look gorgeous and will remain thus way.
      Last year was my turning point. I knew it all. But it was time to just knuckle down and let go of the crippling addiction.
      It's not restriction......what is better than a ribeye, a bunch of shrimp, butter and avo?
      Not all the beer or pasta in the world.
      Living the life and loving it. Fasting is my friend again and for the first time, I'm doing it properly.
      How liberating
      So knowledge is only as empowering as we activate it

      @meatymama-lh7pnIsn't the carnivore lifestyle liberating!? I'm also a carb addict and after 2 months of carnivore, I don't crave carbs!! I feel fantastic! My good health is very important to me now that I'm 68 and retired. I'm focused on my healthy lifestyle instead of dieting. I don't care how long it takes for me to lose these last 20-25#. I'm enjoying the journey along the way and finally HEALING my mind & body.

    You have so many followers that count on your journey, give you kudos, support you but all I see is excuses.... for years! I go for months or over a year see you pop up and its the same old story. Its so sad because you keep gaining and losing and doing this chanel obviously for money. Be true to yourself and audience and leave and figure it out. It will show people you are not in it for the money but to truly get healthy and focus on yourself. I have struggled with weight for years and had many successes and failures but I wouldnt keep a channel going doing the same thing over and over giving people advice. Or keep it up get on the scale, keep your word if you announce challenges and show it ALLon line and be transparent. You say be honest with yourself, then show it all and quit making excuses its hard to see the same spiraling 5 years later. Best of luck with your continued journey.

    Hi. I started following you back when you were so focused on your health and diet. You inspired me and together we both got close to goal. You just need to get back to the basics. 20 gross carbs a day and no more. You can rationalize any way you want but you need to want this as bad as you did in the beginning when everything was new. There is really no such thing as keto bread and a lot of the recipes have tons of hidden no-no’s. I think you are a great person and I want the best for you. Maybe that includes a different diet you can get excited about again. Where there’s a will there’s a way. 😃

Just because she's not a size 5 in 5 years doesn't give you the right to talk negatively about her. Until you've walked a mile in her shoes, i would suggest you keep your opinions to yourself. Yes. Jess, I've been on this boat with you for the 5 years. This hard journey is life long! We just gotta keep pushing! I'm not keto anymore cause it caused me to yo-yo. I had to realize I love fries! Lol! But I don't mind tracking so I've decided to track and have some carbs so mentally I'm no longer on or off. I'm always on even if I ate fries. You'll find your groove cause only you know what you need. Just know that the journey is something to be proud of, cause it never ends. Keep doing you no matter what the haters may comment.

My final push has opened up an awesome way for me to lose weight OMAD. It took 30 days of pushing and losing 1.2 lbs per week but I am finally dropping again! I keep carbs low - carnivore-lite. I don’t mind that it’s taking five years. She says she’s happy and I think that’s great but does that mean she’s reaching her goals or not? You are absolutely right! I've done what Jesse has done and NEVER could get rid of the food cravings and the weight yo-yoed. (That's how addiction works.) As soon as I cut out EVERYTHING except BEEF, WATER, SALT, the cravings left and I eventually settled into a very satisfying OMAD. I am not hungry and my energy is through the roof. I love Jesse and can relate to her struggle, but it took me YEARS to overcome the life-long brain washing of the food pyramid pushed by fake food corps and the false belief that my addictive self could handle 20 carbs. What a joke! As long as we keep sneaking in those carbs, the cravings and weight will stick around. Just cut them ALL out. We could go the rest of our lives without another carb. HOWEVER, we Do need the protein, fat, water and salt.
      Jesse, PLEASE. Just do a 30-day ' elimination diet challenge' for yourself. Just go lion diet or BBB&E. My prediction is that you will drop that inflammation quickly and feel so much better, that you will go another 30 days. And another. Also, please stop pushing LMNT. That stuff (for some people . . . [me]) will push your blood pressure through the roof. As long as I stick with lion diet (replete with Redmond REAL SALT), my blood pressure is consistently normal -- along with normalized BMI, Glucose, Ketones, etc. My favorite saying is "Hey vegan. I ate the thing that eats your salad. You're welcome!" ; D
      Please research Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Berry, Dr. Shawn Baker, HomeSteadHow, Carnivore Soldier (fellow Texan), Ferrigno Freedom.
      You can thank me later. God bless you, Jess.

    Jess please get a professional to help assist you with weight loss :( I've been watching for some years. My heart breaks you haven't made it to Maintenace. It's not a marathon for sure slow and steady wins the race, but I can't imagine the fad diets are any healthier.

    Life is always ups and downs. You’re such and inspiration of not looking back and move forward. You got me to do push ups.😂 That’s amazing! Since you’re in Texas…Will you be attending “Hack you Health” conference in Austin at the end of May?

    Hi Jess - I started watching I guess 5 years ago. Wow, how time flies. You are a trooper! I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I'm close to 60 now and wish I hadn't spent so much time worrying about my weight. In my twenties, I was 20 lbs overweight, and 40 years later I've dieted my way up to 6o lbs overweight.

    This is the best video! It’s very motivational. The part about self discipline or thinking it forward and making the choices for our better selves and better health is spot on. Thanks for this!
