These are great value and quality. I have 6 of these now. It wont break the bank if you need to replace them.

That's beautiful! How long have u had them for, I have a few other ones but this one has a new shell and finish, makes it look and feel really high end. Wattage of light is perfect as most people over do it with their lights I find

Awesome Ray! These Current USA and Fluval are out of my price range these days. I doubt they are any better, only more features. I just want the plants to grow! I am throwing all this together, forgive me,but I want to get everything in while Im thinking about it.
First, I got my blue dreams in. It looks like I lost a few so far, yet the smallest are still ok? I think the bigger they are,the harder it can be on them. One has a little white line on its head? I've never seen this. I noticed my jades have had some of the babies come out almost orangish. I think you said they were crossed with tangerine tigers and not real stable. The dark jade are pretty true.
Anyway, I am jealous of you tanks I see. I do good with low to medium light plants but for some reason, I cannot keep some of my mosses going. My lace plant isn't helping. So,what light do you recommend for your smaller tanks? When I can set up more only shrimp tanks, I definitely want plants and mosses. I also had the Cameroon moss, but couldn't maintain it. I had something else that was super soft and could not remember the name. Cardinals used to spawn on it after I put it in.
Thanks, I will have you to blame when I set up a rack for my shrimp!

Hey Robert! Thanks for the comments and continued support. I’d say all the lights are made in similar factories but probably fluval has better quality control. Everything’s made in china these days. Green jades, I asked a friend, he said his females are always dark but his males look like culls. Key trick with moss, is they like cooler water, my moss does better in cooler water, but I have a 90cm or 3 foot aquascape I’m working on with medium light and co2 and the moss is going nuts. Most people over do it with light in planted tanks and then have algae issues. Shrimp rack is awesome for sure, Cameroon moss, I think it might be due to the temp, I have a huge amount of this stuff, but it sure grows slowly. For smaller tanks, the nicrew or hygger clip on lights are pretty good choices, to be honest any light will work for planted tanks, you don’t need the fancy ones with blue tooth and sunset and sunrise and different spectrums. Back about 10 years ago, I used chihiros a series about $30 a light and it grew plants like no tomorrow with some epic aquascapes, I’ll post some of my older photos of my planted tank. Have an awesome day with you success in your shrimp keeping and can’t wait to see your new shrimp rack!!

@RWAquariumPages Thanks I never knew that. I always keep my temps around 78. It's time for me to try some CO2. I finally also started using actual shrimp foods. What temperature is best for neo's? Have a great day.

78F is a bit high for moss to be honest, I’m going to say that’s problematic for moss sometimes if the balance isn’t correct. There’s no need to do co2, I’m just planted nuts guy since 1995. Neos best temp is depends,it’s controversial, I keep mine at 76C to be honest, but my moss is mostly in my caridina tanks at 72F. hope that helps!@@robertbaker3174

Thanks, that makes sense now. I think I read that about caradina

@@RWAquariumPages That is caridina, and maybe that has kept me from doing them. It is hard to keep the house that cool in Texas! I'll figure something out when I can get to that stage.
